Heavy Backpacks Can Cause Injuries
Did you know that the average backpack weighs 5-6 pounds? Back to school presents a safety concern that many don’t think of: Backpacks! Books, pens, paper, binders, lunch and even a laptop – all these items add up in pounds that students are putting on their backs. Some students put so much weight on their back, it can cause long-term effects. The Joint Chiropractic’s Dr. Jared Pierson spoke with Priscilla Casper of KGUN 9 about how to make sure your child prevents injuries by wearing their backpack properly.
