Hey, you! Yes, you, slouching on your couch or worse yet draped over your bed while working from home. The Joint Chiropractic has a message and a free offer born from the pandemic.
"People are so attracted to that couch and that couch is a spine killer," said Peter Holt, CEO of The Joint. "Sixty percent of the workforce is at home, so what happens is, their spine is a wreck, an absolute wreck.
"We've just launched a program that starts this month," he said. "You're Back, Baby," is the headline, with a consultation, exam and adjustment free in June to new patients.
The Joint has about 550 clinics, and all but 10 percent stayed open through the pandemic, in part because of concerted lobbying efforts to classify chiropractic care as an essential service. Colorado was one of the few states to not do so.
The Joint operates on a subscription model, and Holt said its clinics maintained about 60 percent of their existing patients, with gross sales down about 30 percent. '"Where we saw the biggest drop is new patients," hence the new promotion, which will run on cable TV, YouTube and social channels. "It's truly trying to help a nation in pain," Holt said.
