Dr. Mayra Resendez is originally from Los Angeles, but grew up most of her life in Phoenix, AZ. She went to Tolleson Union High School where she was involved in various after school clubs and the school's soccer team. She first heard about chiropractic through her father from which he was being treated for chronic low back pain at the time. She saw how well he was responding to treatment that she decided to get her first chiropractic adjustment after a minor soccer injury. Her love for chiropractic and chiropractor was what encouraged her to become a chiropractor herself. She is also an alumni of Arizona State University where she completed her Bachelors of Arts degree in French. As an undergraduate, Dr. Resendez studied abroad in Lille, France where she submerged herself in the beautiful French culture, language, and cuisine. While there, she was able to travel to other European cities which only strengthen her desire to travel the world. She is also fluent in Spanish.
In her free time she loves spending time with husband, family, and friends, spoiling her puppy Koa, cooking, kickboxing/boxing and hiking from time to time.
Dr. Resendez is a graduate of Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCUHS), Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (LACC). She is a Board Certified Chiropractor. She's happy to provide you with the chiropractic care you and your whole family needs.

Dr. DeVries was born and raised in Cortland, Nebraska, a small town in southeastern region of the state. He graduated with a B.S. in Nutrition Exercise and Health Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2016 (Go Huskers!). By 2020, he earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Cleveland University-KC, graduating with Cum Laude honors. Since graduating, he’s recently moved to Arizona to join The Joint team, and is excited to have the opportunity to provide the best care he can for patients!
He realized he wanted to be a Chiropractor while he was working for a local Chiropractic office as an undergraduate. As he learned more about the profession, he became intrigued by the holistic approach and the variety of ways to improve a patient’s health. His favorite thing about being in the Chiropractic field is learning about each patient’s story and being able to enable them to change the context of it for the better.
He enjoys being outdoors (running/hiking/biking), watching and playing basketball, football, golf and a variety of other sports, reading, and exploring new areas!
Eggs, spinach, and apples are all must-haves in his fridge; all are staples to his diet and are quick and easy to prepare and are very nutrient dense foods.
Four people he would want at his dinner party would be Michael Jordan, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tupac Shakur, and Dalai Lama.
The coolest thing he’s done was go on a 10 day long chiropractic mission trip to Peru in 2018 where they were able to visit Machu Picchu, and provide care to the local residents. It was an amazing and humbling experience to learn more about the cultural differences, and be able to help people who didn’t have the same luxury of health care most do.
