Fitness You Can Do With Your Valentine

With Valentine’s Day approaching, it’s time to start thinking about how the night will go. Many people plan a simple date of dinner and a movie, but this traditional option isn’t the only possibility. More fitness-forward couples can try an activity-filled date instead. There are plenty of fitness choices to do with a valentine.

Rock Climbing

Plenty of indoor rock climbing locations exist, including one right in Peoria. Ape Index Rock Climbing Gym hosts a V-Day Partner Up event in which people can make connections with other climbers and maybe find a climbing buddy for all future climbing adventures. Those who already have a partner can attend as well to get in a great workout while having a fun date.

Hiking

Going for a hike may be a little less adventurous than climbing rocks, but it still gives people a thrill. A couple can enjoy a hike together, having plenty of time to converse as they make their way through the trails. This is a better option for couples who have been together awhile and trust each other completely. A first date won’t likely want to go on a hike through the woods with someone they just met, after all.

Dancing

A night of dancing is a great way to work up a sweat while couples get to remain close. With their bodies close and hands on one another, dancing is a great way to show some intimacy. Head to a local club or even stay at home and pump up the jams. Turn the kitchen into a dance floor for a romantic night of dancing.

Paintball

Paintball is a fun way to get in some exercise while enjoying each other’s company. Whether a couple teams up to play against another couple, or the two go head-to-head to see who comes out victorious, the experience will be enjoyable. Just be sure to check out the paintball location before arriving. Some are only open on the weekends, meaning the date will have to be planned for the weekend before or after V-Day.

Exercise isn’t always easy to make time for, but it can be done if people put in more effort. Valentine’s Day is as great a time as any to get in some fitness, turning a typical date night into an adventurous activity. Plan something fun for your love and make the night special.
