After receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Alberta (Edmonton, Canada), he moved to California to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles. Dr. Lee started practicing family chiropractic in California before moving to Phoenix, AZ in 2006. Upon moving to Arizona, Dr. Lee built and managed three multidisciplinary chiropractic offices in Scottsdale, Tempe and Phoenix, prior to his involvement with The Joint Chiropractic. In 2020 just before the pandemic, he moved up to Bellingham, Washington to help take care of his Dad who came down with Parkinsons. He spends his time between Washington and Arizona.

Through his professional journey, Dr. Lee has learned to serve all types of people from babies to grandparents and a range of cases including but not limited to headaches, migraine relief, pinched nerves, sciatica pain, neck pain and lower back pain through the use of manual manipulation. Dr. Lee's passion is helping others achieve their goals by maximizing the connection between the brain and the body through a well-adjusted spine. I have been going to this location, and "The Joint for over 6 years, with the last 2 years, with Dr. Lee he is a great chiropractor. Today, I came in and was told that Dr. Lee would be out until the 1st of the year, which is 2027. I took a chance with a new Dr. Taylor. He has NO personality, and barely even spoke to me, during the visit. He tried to adjust my neck to the left, that Dr. Lee and other chiropractors have done, for the last 35 years, with no problem. He could not adjust it, and had the nerve to tell me to come back tomorrow, and I told him I am on a limited income budget, and could not afford it .Also how would 24 hours even matter? Then he tells me I have a cyst on my back, near my spinal cord, which my primary doctor, has NEVER found, apparently he is NOT a registered, licensed doctor, and should not be diagnosing ANY medical problems with me. Since he ONLY did a half job of an adjustment, I just contacted the company headquarters in Scottsdale, to get a partial refund, and I am also reporting Dr. Taylor to the "State Medical Board'. Do not see this Dr. Taylor, if you go to this location, wait until Dr. Lee is in after January 1, 2027.

I have been to many chirppractors. Dr. Merill was good today. He did not rely on my feeling about"how are you doing". He actually first massaged my back and neck to get his professional feeling about my status, then proceeded to do his thing. First visit and had a good experience. Price is great for first time patients, and I will likely come back often to stay in alignment. Chiropractor was nice and informative, answered all my questions and provided suggestions. My pain level was reduced almost immediately but I understand it might be sore a little later. Only downside is I called to make an appointment, and they told me appointments are not needed and to just walk in when I wanted to. Then I get a call from them asking me to make an appointment, so I made the appointment. Contradicting statements but it was nothing serious. It's a fast-moving place, quick in/out, next patient, which is good if you are short on time, but not so good if you're looking for a personal touchy feely type of experience. I like the quick visits and just get it done so I can go on with my day.

This was my 1st time ever going to a chiropractor and I was very nervous. When I saw the doctor it felt very robotic. Nothing personable outside of the questions. The whole adjustment part was just straight and to the point. No questions asked. Are you okay? Nothing. When going over the treatment plan felt it was the same speech he gave all day. Because of that I won't be going back. The receptionist was so nice and sweet. She is the only reason for the stars. If im going to spend my money somewhere I would to be treated like a human and not a robot leaving the factory.

Dr Lee gives awful advice. Told me I was going to need surgery and after seeing a doctor they told me it was an aggravated nerve and that surgery definitely wasn’t considered. I had asked if stretching would be good for it. Not only did he disagree he laughed at it. Then another chiropractor and a doctor told me that stretching would be good. I asked if there were exercises that would be good. He said “no”. Then I suggested an exercise and he goes “oh yeah” like it was a new thing. He’s there majority of the week. Friday-Sunday is when he isn’t there. That’s when you should go if you have serious physical adjustments needed.

The chiropractic service is great but i don’t like that when you pay monthly for the four visits and when you cancel the monthly and don’t use all four in that month you lose whatever after the month ends. This has happened to me twice, i forgave it the first time because i wasn’t sure but the last time after i had paused the monthly and it restarted as i directed but i wasn’t able to use all four in the four weeks, went to use the last one i knew i had and was told nope, i didn’t use it in that month so I’m just out of luck.

My Husband has been a member for a very long time, now I have been off and on and honestly because I did not really got the care I was looking for, I rejoined recently because I’ve been having some issues and needed to do so, not much has changed, doctors come and go and no personal care was felt, however, for the last month Dr David Lee has been God sent, I had numb fingers because my neck was out so bad, but Dr Lee took the time to explain everything so well, told me what to do at home and every adjustment has been exactly what I needed, my fingers are no longer numb and I still have issues but he is continually helping me and I am feeling so much better. Please try to retain Dr David Lee at Metro Center in Phoenix AZ! He is fantastic!

Yesterday’s adjustment (at a different location) helped relieve a lot of tension, but my muscles were simply too tight at the time to allow everything to move. After giving my body time to relax overnight, I came in today for a follow-up adjustment. With physical constraints that make standard mid-back techniques challenging, Dr. Lee worked around them with real skill. He cleared subluxations in my mid-back and neck that had been limiting my range of motion, and the improvement was immediate. This felt like a perfect two-step process, and Dr. Lee handled the second step beautifully. I left feeling aligned, mobile, and genuinely better. This was my first time coming to see Dr. Lee - I chose this office because it was on my way to my next destination, and I’m glad I did. Highly recommend.

I've been to many different locations with the Joint Chiropractic. This one is very nice. The lady at the desk was very nice. The Doctor was amazing too. He asked me many questions if I was stiff, in pain, and he checked to make sure everything was ok before he started to adjust me. That was very nice. Not many other Doctors do that. Signed up for a one month trial September of 2024. One month. Come to find out they've been charging our insurance card almost $80 every month since then, when my husband called to figure out what was happening and to see about getting that money back as we had signed up for a month and verified that it was only going to charge us for the month, the representative admitted that they had been taking the money but could do nothing. He admitted that the account does show it was only supposed to be for a month. They stole a minimum of $960 from us and offer no solution.

The doctors here really helped me out with my low back chronic issue. I brought on MRI and they referred me to a good MRI place and I saved a lot of money on the MRI, and I got really good direction and other modalities and techniques and adjustments. Not a good experience I did get serviced quickly, but for $55 I got 2 back presses 1 crack each from the side and 1 neck twist for each side probably 5-7 minutes at the most. Real chiropractor offices are like $30-$35 a session but the level of service is so superior. Very disappointed didn’t relieve any ailments. I had the membership before and the service was so bad I canceled it. Thought maybe it changed but it was actually worse. Save ur money and u wait for an appointment at a real chiropractor office to get what u pay for.

I went to the Joint after receiving a phone call this morning from them offering the $29 offer. However, it wasn't to be as they would not accept my insurance . I asked for the $29 dollar special and offered cash and they declined. I drove quite a way to only be turned away.

Doctor Randall Leraaen is the best! I've been seeing chiropractors for decades. I've been through a few before the joint, and several since joining the joint 7 years ago. Let me tell you, Dr. Leraaen Is by far the best. And to top it off, he's very friendly, down to earth, and treats you like a person—not just another adjustment. To give you an idea of awesome, I believe he is: I live south, near Laveen. There is a joint near my favorite grocery store. There must be 4 or 5 closet to my house than the one on Peoria. However, I make the journey because I won't settle for anyone else.

I've been going to the Joint Chiropractic for over 7yrs and have been to most of their locations in different cities in Arizona. This particular location is just under 3 miles away from me & I usually go here after work to get adjusted. The thing about this Chiropractic place is that almost anywhere your at Phoenix, Glendale, Surprise, Peoria, Goodyear, Avondale, Mesa...etc. there is a Joint Chiropractic there, which is very convenient and with different physician's!....Plus it's the most affordable out there at about $69 a month for four sessions & anything over that is $10 a visit until your 4 sessions renew a month later. I have learned so much through these physicians which each have different & unique ways of adjusting you, and explaining the science behind the pain your going through. If your in pain, out of alignment, and need to be put back together try The Joint Chiropractic!...

I had cancelled my membership but still been charged so I figured I'd use the last month of visits & then be done. When I arrived I was told I had no visits bc I had cancelled & was only offered a refund when I pressed for one. Also they had on a very inappropriate movie that should have been changed when they saw me walk in with three kids. Idk what movie it was but my 10yo saw like 5 cuss words in 10min as well as someone's butt hanging out of their shorts, men talking about boobs, & children in the movie being pressured to kiss an old man who was then found to have died... Do not appreciate. Two stars instead of one bc the adjustments were fine & the Chiro was great with my 6yo's first adjustment.

I was personally terrified to get my back aligned due to be in a car accident within the past year, however they made the process fast and simple. The joint on Peoria Ave AZ, what a terrible experience I had there today. I usually get my neck adjusted for 29$ there, I've been going to the joint at a different location for a long time and this guy the adjuster comes and tells me in the lobby that he can't adjust me and to go somewhere else. What kind of customer service is that????? I was so livid, I handed the tablet to receptionist and told her to just forget it. A routine neck adjustment I've had done there before, a one time visit. The receptionist told me they do one time visits. So what was the PROBLEM with him today??? He was rude and unacceptable customer service!!!!!! Oh I wasn't using any insurance to have this done. The Joint has always taken me and adjusted me no problems, until now. I pay with my debit card all the time!! This chiropractor has to be politically correct. I was told at another location to come right in, we will take care of you. So your explanation makes no sense to me!!!!!

Went in for a second visit and got a different person this visit and the old dude destroyed my spine in less than 5 minutes. He asked 1 question, performed 6 adjustments and charged me $45. I’m out $45 and a working spine. It’s impressive how I am in worse condition after visiting this location. 3 days later and no sign of improvement regarding the damage done to my spine.

This has been the most professional experience that I have had with a chiropractor and staff. The Chiropractor is very experienced and has eased my pain by 80% He is very knowledgeable and personable. Dr. Leraaen is amazing, the best chiropractor by far, amazing!!!!! So I hurt my lower back about a week ago, was having a hard time walking, lifting ect. Came in to the joint chiropractor had a consultation with Dr. Leraaen, he gave me a chiropractic adjustment. I immediately felt so much relief. This is the best thing since sliced bread! LOL it’s great to just be able to stop in when I have time, to know that I have four visits a month I can use how I need. I’ve just experimented with different days of the week Open 7 days a week, which is convenient, and great you’re not just going to one Chiropractor and then maybe you don’t like them and maybe your paying 10 times more money, again this is just a great concept. Everyone at the Metro Joint is super friendly, very nice and have become almost like FAMILY. Give it a try you’ll love it!

During my visit to the chiropractic clinic yesterday, I felt that the chiropractor did not dedicate sufficient time and attention to my adjustment. When I respectfully voiced my concern that my lower back did not feel adequately addressed, the chiropractor disregarded my feedback, citing my exclamation of surprise during the adjustment. This incident raises concerns about the level of care and attention provided by the chiropractor.

I’ve been going to The Joint for about a year now and no matter what location I go to, the service is always prompt, good, and the drs take time to talk to you about stretches and other ways of pain relief after adjustments and for preventive care. The Dr that works Thursday and Friday is good. The fairy new one who is there Saturday thru Wednesday is not so good. He’s nice enough but is in too much hurry.

Love this office, the front office women are kind and accommodating. My son and I have been getting adjustments by the different chiropractors and they are great. I would give it less stars if possible......the young receptionist could be better. when I called to get more details she made me feel like I shouldn't come in with her short answers but against my better judgement I still went in. after sitting in the lobby for almost an hour i got fed up and just left this place sucks

Dr. Lee and Dr. Rick are the best! They actually listen to you and treat the specific issue that is causing you to be uncomfortable. They don't just put you through a run of the mill treatment. The everyone gets when you walk in the door. They are 2 of the few doctors that can actually adjust my neck properly as I have had this condition my entire life. I had a regular family chiropractor that I've been seeing for the last year and a half. I love my chiropractor, but struggle with finding time for appointments due to my increasingly demanding job. Today was my first visit to The Joint, only because it's conveniently open all weekend, and on a whim I decided to tr them out. I really wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised with the helpfulness and efficiency of the staff. The new patient sign up process was relatively quick and simple. I went in as soon as they opened and was in and out in under under an hour. The doctor I saw was extremely thorough in taking the time to find the most comfortable adjustment positions for me. Over all, it was a wonderful experience, and I will definitely be going back!

When i first went into that place I couldn’t even bend over. They got me straightened out after a couple consecutive visits and its been maintenance after that. Some days are worse than others and they really gotta give it their all to adjust me but they manage to do it. I have no complaints, only compliments. I had a hip out of place and pelvis turning, in other words I was in a lot of pain and struggling to walk. The joint was open on Sunday and the staff was very friendly. The chiropractor listened to my concerns and the adjustment he completed helped immensely. There was no pressure to be buy a package but the staff provided a comprehensive explanation of what I would get if I did. I was very impressed with the whole experience and look forward to coming back.

Went in just now at 5pm for a walk-in, since they do not allow you to schedule an appointment ahead of time, and the receptionist had already gone home. I had called before to set this up and they had assured me that I could see them that day if I arrived before 6pm. Very disappointed with this company, but I should have known better when they told me that they do not set up appointments. There are 6 other chiropractors nearby, I will now be seeing one of them.

I was there late December 2020. Receptionist gave me tons of paperwork to fill out. AFTER I finished, I was told, "We don't take Medicaid." I replied, "I'm paying CASH." The response was the SAME. WHY, WHY, WHY was I declined service?! It was the start of the Christmas holidays. I had a severe headache from a bad adjustment from my regular chiropractor. My regular chiro was closed for the holidays. This place was the ONLY hope to snap me back in place. WHY wouldn't they tell me BEFORE I spent all that time filling out their forms?! I later heard THE JOINT was similar to a MacDonalds of the fast food variety. Better I've been told since, good thing they didn't accept you. This place is where NEW chiropractors start out. Oh well...it was really close to home. WHY WOULDN'T THEY ACCEPT "CASH" IS WHAT STILL PUZZLES ME!

November 2023: I don’t know why hours and operations are posted for this location because I was turned away at 2:30 because the doctor didn’t want to see anymore patients. I come here every Sunday and typically wait 30 minutes and never complain. I am upset because this is the only time I can come and I even leave work early. The doctor shouldn’t come into work if he has to leave early because this isn’t professional and has completely changed my perspective on this location. 11/26/23 September 2023 - I always have an exceptional experience with Katherine and Rick. Katherine is not only outstanding at her job but also an excellent communicator. Her professionalism is truly commendable, and it's evident she's destined for great things. She possesses natural leadership skills and an impressive stage presence. Rick, the doctor, always goes the extra mile to engage with customers, including me, and I genuinely appreciate his friendly demeanor. Together, they provide top-notch customer service. Highly recommended! ?? Update: 2023 - love the staff here and the receptionist that work here: Professional and friendly. Thanks for being awesome a bit more professional than any other joint in the valley. Both of the doctors that have treated me made the experience feel like a real doctors office. a bit slower in the waiting room but it’s because they take their time with each patient and perform adjustments, stretches, and additional alignment with the beds they have. I left feeling so much better both times. be patient because they take really good care of you. Dr Taylor is the best, he always goes the extra mile. Been coming here for YEARS! It’s 4:26pm, they close at 5. While it has been a year since my adjustment there is nothing to change about my paperwork. To start, they have signs posted everywhere inside and out that masks are required. Then when walking in, there was no one up front. After a couple of minutes of standing there, the chiropractor came out and said someone would be out shortly and to have a seat. I sat there, looking away from the front desk, and hear a woman quietly ask, “do you have your id?” I look over and the lady was not wearing a mask and honestly looked like I ruined her whole day by being there. Her demeanor was very stand-off, rude, and not welcoming whatsoever. If I wasn’t in so much pain, I would have just walk out. I proceeded to stay and was sent back to the couch to fill out my info on a tablet and when I was finished, I look over and the lady is sleeping at the front desk! Never ever in my life have I seen this. Never!! The chiropractor and his work was amazing though. I felt relief after and he was very knowledgeable. His work alone made me want to come back. After being adjusted, I had planned on doing the membership but the same lady didn’t explain things well whatsoever and my total in the end was going to be a lot more than expected. That drew the line. If she can’t go over a binding contract successfully then it’s not worth it. I’m sorry but homegirl has to go!

I understand that i well need to come in on a regular basis to feel lasting relief, thats the same at any chiropractic place. But i didnt expect to walk in, he touch my neck and immediatly tell what was tight and what need to be adjusted. Thank you. You made that very persistant pain become a here and there pain, this is a VAST improvment even if its only going to last so long. Im going to have to find a way to throw your generaly affordable plan into my budget.

This place is great during the week, but I just went in today and the customer service was terrible. The woman with the painted dreadlocks and multicolored facial piercings was very rude, she didn’t even acknowledge me when I walked in and when I asked her how much longer- I had been waiting several already for any sort of acknowledgment- until she would be able to check me in she gave me an annoyed look and said at least ten more minutes. I walked out. As long as this customer hating receptionist is at the front desk, I will not be going back.

I’ve been going to this location for some time now. I’ve been seen by quite a few Doctors and I have never been let down. The girls at the front desk are super nice, the doctors are very friendly and informative. Depending on the time of day and how many doctors are working the back, waiting has never been an issue for me. I always leave satisfied! It’s taken me a few months of weekly adjustment to finally feel the difference I’d recommend this location to anyone who needs adjustments.

Tried out the first time visit for $30 and it was quite underwhelming. The receptionist poorly attempted to push for the monthly rate after I explained that I would like to see if I feel differences after my adjustment. The two stars are strictly for cleanliness and the doctors ability to adjust. The location is super clean and the doctor was able to pop my back and neck without a problem. However, this doctor raced through everything. I felt like I was talking to an auctioneer. No time for questions or concerns before, during, or after alignment. We went over my history and levels /areas of pain in under a minute and I never really caught his name. I do not plan to come back to this location.

Always noticed the younger doctor at the front table cleaning after each patient but not the older doctor at the back table. Visited there last Wed., and this Wed. tested positive for Covid. Update to 12/2021.....apparently still not a priority. Signs up everywhere saying masks are required, but the receptionist with dreadlocks isn't wearing one. Dr. was good.

I will only go to this location. Dr. Lowe is the best, followed by Dr. Martin. My back is always tight and takes a lot of pressure to get it to adjust. These two have no issues getting me adjusted.

A lode of doctors visits and pain medication later they still refuse to give a refund for my month. Are you kidding me ! I took my mother there. She was in pain she needed an adjustment. Filled out paperwork then hurried up and waited for 30mins. Then they tell us they dont accept people over 65 or on Medicare. They should put a sign outside thier door NO DOGS NO OLD PEOPLE. Semper you The Joint Chiropractic.

I as the only one in the lobby they said it will be 20 min twenty minutes pass people come in and are seen before me. The lobby gets crowded and it's still a 20min wait they said it's cause we only have one Dr. It's noon probably the busiest hour of the day. I won't be back I will just keep going to my Camelback location

Will refuse to see you if you show up 15min prior to close for an adjustment that takes 1 minute. Suggest you go to a different location. Chiropractors are great here, the receptionist's are rude.

The Joint is a great and affordable option for chiropractic care. Every doctor is knowledgeable and does their job well. They all have a different style and technique, which some people may not like. You can fix this issue by figuring out the schedule of which doctor(s) you like. The front desk staff are also wonderful and very knowledgeable, answering every question you may have. So thankful I found The Joint when I was needing care

My experience has always been great with all of the different chiropractors I have seen and it is always a seamless process to get in and out with a proper adjustment in a very acceptable amount of time. My adjustments are always done professionally and efficiently with no wasted time. I would recommend coming here to anyone with any sort of joint or body pain, it will not be disappointing!

Reception staff doesn't answer phone and is rude when they do return your voicemail. Chiro staff just move people through as fast as possible without any real subjective help for individual patients. It all seems very generic and as if they are paid per adjustment. Might be helpful for some, just wasted my money. Also, this is a franchise who operates in as much corporate grey area as possible. Watch out for the typical shady business practices as such.

Dont go to these places. they will enroll you on a subscription without telling you. do not give them a credit card number or debit number. also chiropractic adjustments are dangerous and can lead to strokes or death. most of the other reviews are friends or family of these people. everything about it is shady.

Went in today after getting a coupon for a $29 adjustment. Advertising as a no hassle experience is not right. There are 8 pages of paperwork to fill out. I watched 2 new people come in after me and they were done right away. I sat there waiting like an idiot. I left because I was in pain and I was tired of being ignored. Not to mention this place looks like a hair salon inside. It's nowhere near a professional environment also it's in between restaurants, so it looks like a place to eat too. I went back to my 12 year chiropractor and they told me it's like going to a school for chiropractors. They offer discount prices from chiropractors in training. You do what you want, but for $6 more I'd rather trust my back to a professional, not a bunch of students using my back as practice. I won't return. The receptionist is a rude girl too.

3 stars because I can't seem to get out of auto pay?!.... how the hell is that possible, so frustrating. Couldn't make payment so they only could stop auto pay once. She said the only is if you pay cash before the auto pay processed. I'm hoping I can move my date? Because I'm not canceling my debit card because they won't stop auto pay. Other than that I love going here!!

Canceled service for no longer needed, they still charged me. This company is a fraud if you sign up for monthly payments they will entrap you, horrible way to conduct business. I would rather go to a small business that offers the same services but wont rip you off.

The chiropractics front desk lady was very kind and helpful but the chiropractic himself was very rude and unprofessional, and even said he couldn't do anything because he didn't have a magical touch, that's very rude and uncalled for!

The monthly program sounded great at 1st, after several months paying for a service that has more hoops than a basket, I finally get to cancel my service and they tell me they have to bill one more month...apparently paying them for doing nothing for 6+ months wasn't enough. Buyer Beware!!!

Seems like a nice place. Called ahead and they said they were open until 7 to come in anytime. Showed up about 10 to 6 and said they didn't have time to see me as a new patient even after telling them I was leaving this evening on a long driving trip and in lots of discomfort. Would have been great if they clarified this on the initial call, not wasted my time, and not left me in the discomfort I'm in for this long trip ahead of me.

Staff is very friendly and accommodating. They offer reasonable monthly plan which includes 4 adjustments. No appointment is necessary. Normal wait time for the adjustment is under 10 minutes. I go there once a week to prevent my back I'm getting tight. if you need extra visits before the new month can be added at minimal cost. Call ahead for your initial visit which is the only time you will need an appointment.

This place is great for the price you pay. I’m so thankful for a chiropractor that allows you to get adjustments without requiring insurance, because even with insurance chiropractors tend to be expensive. For simple, regular adjustments, this place is worth it.

I am fairly a new patient with this chiropractor business, I do like the fact there is one in just about every city. I feel having adjustments makes me feel better and function to the best of my ability. I have been seeing chiropractor doctors for over 35 years with no issues. How ever I am sad to write that on 10/16/2017, I had an adjustment by Dr Lee, it did not go well after pulling my rib out during my adjustment. Needless to say how uncomfortable I am feeling and the pain that goes with a pulled rib, also limited in functioning in my every day activities as to what I can do.

I stumbled upon the Joint Metro Center a couple months ago after trying two other doctors in the area with no relief. My neck was so bad at that time I could barely move my head and when I did the pain would shoot into my left shoulder and down my arm. It was a Saturday and I was amazed that I could go right over, which I did. I saw Dr Hunter and he is great. Perfect assessment of my condition, specific and effective adjustments. I've been receiving Chiropractic care as needed since 1990 and know a good treatment when I feel it. This is the "Joint" for me. In the course of treatment I've also seen Dr Lee, very knowledgeable and a great adjuster too. Bottom line: I got significant relief from the very first treatment and increasing pain relief, function and mobility as time went on. I'm starting my third month with Dr Hunter and Dr Lee just for maintenance, with these great prices I can afford ongoing care. In 25 years of seeing Chiropractors, I've never seen a better price or better staff.

Best money I've ever spent! I pay for my own healthcare and I am not currently employed. Because of the benefits of seeing a chiropractor once a week... I can't afford NOT to go. The level of the quality of my life is very important to me, call me selfish. I can always set aside a few dollars a week to make sure that I'm not in constant pain or fighting a headache 4-6 nights a week. Best money I've ever spent!

Bad sciatica- Dr Dom did an adjustment, still have some pain but that is expected because I waited too long to have it addressed. I felt totally at ease here, everyone was super friendly and their hours are very work friendly. Going back Monday ?. The rate are very reasonable too !

Best deal any where: $59 a month for 4 visits. Additional visits are very inexpensive. Opened weekends. Even if the place is crowded, the chiropractors move the patients out quickly. Insurance is not accepted. They don't have the equipment for X-rays. I'm very satisfied with The Joint Chiropractic Clinic. 9/1/2016.
