The ABC Fruits You Should Be Eating

Everyone advises us to eat healthy, but most people don’t list specificically which foods are best. Yes, fruits and vegetables are at the top of list, but certain options provide more nutrients and better health benefits than others. The ABC fruits people should be eating include some of the most nutritional components that are ideal for optimal health. Apples, bananas, and cherries are those fruits.
A is for Apples
Apples contain an ideal amount of fiber. With adequate fiber in the body, the digestive tract can work as intended and ensure the maximum nutrition gets taken from ingested food. It also helps to keep cholesterol levels even and blood sugar regulated. Also helping with digestion and the amount of good bacteria found in the body, apples help to improve overall intestinal health.
With a high phytonutrient content, apples are also good for slowing cancer, particularly those related to the lungs. They also work to help people regain strength when they’re ill. The antioxidant compounds within the fruit help to detoxify the body and correct the weakness that often plagues it when it’s sick.
B is for Bananas
Bananas work to boost people’s energy thanks to the carbohydrates within them. That is why they are often featured as a breakfast item or along with breakfast options, such as cutting one up to eat with cereal or french toast. The fruit also provides plenty of soluble fiber that keeps people feeling full, causing them to eat less and their digestive tracts to work slowly and efficiently without too much excess coming in.
C is for Cherries
Cherries make an excellent source for melatonin. Those who consume more of the fruit tend to sleep far better than those who don’t. Rather than relying on melatonin supplements to get some rest, try eating a handful of cherries or even drinking a glass of cherry juice instead. Tart cherries have a higher level.
Cardiovascular benefits abound due to the anthocyanins that work to regulate the genes involved with metabolism function. Blood pressure, symptoms of diabetes, and cholesterol can all be improved because of this process.
Eating these ABC fruit options will help both the mind and body drastically if they’re consumed at least a few times each week.
