Cinco de Mayo Festival Offers Exciting Activities in Moon Valley
Travel back in time more than 150 years ago, on May 5, 1862, when an astounding 4,000 Mexican soldiers held off 8,000 French and allied troops intent on re-establishing their governing power in the New World, and you’ll see for yourself why Cinco de Mayo is such an important celebration across the Mexican-American culture. Recognition of the Mexican holdout victory is still widely celebrated nearly two centuries later, as the annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration presented by Si Se Puede Foundation pays tribute to the Hispanic community's variety of contributions to the beautiful state of Arizona.
