Memorial Day Weekend Events in Phoenix
Phoenix and Moon Valley residents: there are a ton of activities to choose from this Memorial Day weekend if you are staying in town. You have your choice of family-friendly or adult-only entertainment. Have a safe holiday weekend!
1. Canal Brews Cruise - Scottsdale, AZ
Sunday, May 26, 3 pm - 7pm. Hosted by SanTan Brewing Co., the ride will predominantly take part along the AZ Canal. The ride starts at 3 pm at Kelly's at Southbridge. Stops include LONs at the Hermosa Inn, O.H.S.O Nanobrewery, and will end with a party at Dos Gringos Old Town. $25 ticket includes: SanTan beer at each stop, as well as food at Kelly’s and the Dos Gringos Old Town party. 2. Celtic Woman at Wild Horse Pass Hotel and Casino
Saturday, May 25, 8 pm. Celtic Woman is an award-winning all-female Irish musical ensemble that performs a range of music from traditional Celtic tunes to modern songs. Purchase tickets.
3. Memorial Day Observance at Pioneer & Military Park
Monday, May 27, 9 am-12 pm. 14th Avenue & Jefferson (downtown Phoenix). The Pioneer's Cemetary Association and the City of Phoenix will host representatives from several historical organizations, guide tours of the 1897 Smurthwaite House, have book signings, and offer light refreshments. The keynote speaker will be Marshall Shore, Phoenix's "Hip Historian." Other participants include the Buffalo Soldiers of the Arizona Territory, the Knights Templar, and members of Civil War re-enactment organizations. Parking is available at Wesley Bolin Plaza. 4. Night Golf - Palo Verde
Saturday, May 25, 7:30 pm -9:00 pm. $25 per person, which includes greens fee, glow products, prizes, goodie bag. Book your own private night golf tournament by caling (602) 249-9930 by 5 pm on Friday, May 24. Golfing at night = less sweaty.
5. Sarah Geronimo at the Celebrity Theatre
Sunday, May 26, 6 pm. Filipino pop star Sarah Geronimo is performing at this venue. Purchase tickets.
