Revamp Your Body With These Workouts
Sometimes the simplest things make the biggest difference. When it comes to exercise, the common notion is that you have to go hard and intense all the time in order to get the best results. Yes, sometimes an extreme workout can be beneficial, especially when it is thrown into the mix of your normal exercise schedule, but the best way to get your body in shape is to consistently perform basic techniques correctly.
There are some exercises in particular that can help transform your body into a slimmer and stronger version of you. They may seem simple, but they will burn calories, help your lose weight and tone you better than many of those fad exercises out there. The key is to do them with perfect form and on a regular basis.
Jump Rope
This is way more than just a child’s playground game. Jumping rope is an excellent form of cardio. It gets your heart rate going and your blood pumping. It also requires the use of your core, making it a great way to engage your abs without having to get on the floor and do crunches. Implementing jump rope into your workout routine is a cheap and effective way to burn a significant amount of calories and tone up your entire body.
Squatting
No, I don’t mean living for free in an abandoned house, I am talking about the exercise. Squats are probably my favorite way to get my booty in shape. You can practically feel your glutes and thighs toning up as your are doing them. Not only that, but squats require balance and endurance, which makes them a good exercise for strengthening your body and burning fat. You can also modify the squat by adding jumps and weights.
Push Ups
Maybe one of the most old school exercises around, the push up is an oldie, but goodie. For one thing, they are tough. Very tough. Since you are using your own body weight, the push up tones your arms while not making them bulky. They are also a heart healthy exercise, benefiting your cardiovascular health. Keep the push up in the mix and watch your arms transform from flabby to fabby.
Lunging
Similar to the squat, lunges are the exercise to do if you want to tone up your legs and improve your lower body strength. You can switch it up by making it a jump lunge, which kicks up the strength training to the max. Lunging will effectively slim your down and create muscle definition in your legs, making you want to show off those stems of yours sooner than later.
