Make Breakfast Happen

Typically, there are two scenarios in the morning that encourage us to skip breakfast. The first scenario is that we are just plumb tired and too exhausted to do much of anything. The second is that we are close to losing our mind with screaming children in the background and a clock reminding us that we are late for work. Regardless of which scenario we are going through, it is important that we consume more than a quick cup of joe before the day begins. Here are some healthy breakfast ideas that in addition to being super-easy to make, will provide your body with the proper amount of nutrition needed to get you through the day.

Veggie Omelettes

If you have eggs and vegetables in the refrigerator, you have what it takes to build yourself an amazing breakfast. So go ahead and crack a few eggs in the bowl and chop up those vegetables that are just about to go bad. Mix them in a pan and enjoy your healthy creation in just a few short minutes! 

Overnight Oats

Overnight oats are quick, cheap, and easy to make, and with just a little bit of planning the evening before, breakfast can be ready and waiting for you in the morning! You can find a ton of recipes online or just follow the half cup rule ... grab a container and fill it with a half cup of oats, milk, yogurt, and fruit. Top it with some chia seeds, let it sit in the refrigerator overnight, and get ready for a fabulous breakfast in the morning.


Smoothies are the ultimate go-to meal when you have little energy or time to make anything else. They're super healthy and incredibly easy to make. Just grab your favorite fruits, vegetables, and yogurt and throw them into your blender. The number of flavor combinations you can make are endless, but they will all fuel your body with loads of nutrition. Just watch out for those hidden sugars if you add fruit juices!

Avocado Toast

Making avocado toast couldn't be any easier and it's a great way to jump-start your day with heart-healthy fats. Simply toast your bread and mash up an avocado. When the bread is finished toasting, spread the avocado mash on the slices and top with your favorite seeds, turmeric, lime juice, or Himalayan pink salt. You can even be creative with this and top it off with a fried egg!

Changing the Scenario

Don't fall into the same old scenario day after day. Even if you think you don't have the time or energy to make it happen, it's important to start your mornings off right with a healthy meal. And with the suggestions above, you don't even need a lot of time or energy. All you need are a few ingredients and some creativity!
