Today, I visited the joint chiropractic! I had a very bad lower back injury. I called and made appointment but I walked in anyways. I LOVE The Joint! I’ve been coming here since 2020 after I injured my back. The doctors (Dr. Rawlings and Dr. Orendain) are very welcoming, professional, and have done wonders for my health! I work a very physically demanding job, and between that and my physically demanding hobbies, I seem to always be running into minor injuries and misalignments. Now as a full-time vet student with a business and a job on the side, I love the flexibility The Joint allows (pun intended). I can come in when my schedule allows and leave feeling great every time. I also love the affordability of the Wellness plan- with it, I feel good about coming in for weekly adjustments. I don’t know what I would do without my chiropractic visits- I definitely don’t think I would be able to keep up the pace I do. It's great that there are two good doctors in in the Davis location, with complementary techniques. I've been happy with Dr. Orendain for a few years. I usually like to stick with one person, but if I miss Dr O. on a Monday, or have a tough week Dr Rawlings is also excellent I'm feeling good that there's a native Spanish speaker to help the patients who are shy speaking English.

Dr. Orendain is absolutely the best!!! I’ve been enjoying Chiropractics to help with all the back and neck pain for years and in my experience different Chiro’s have vastly different abilities including some with very limited natural abilities at all. I wish Orendain would work more in the office I see him in because he is a miracle worker and definitely has all the intuitive skills to know just where to adjust in ALL of the ways I need AND in many ways I’m surprised about, only realizing later how he helped with pain I wasn’t focused on- because I’d become, ‘used to’, it. No offense but the other Chiropractror there has never been able to adjust me at all, despite lots of coaching. Dr O is your only choice if you have serious pain and or injury and understand Chiropractics or even if you don’t because he delivers favorable results for me every single time I go and over time as I heal! :):) Also, Hailey the Wellness Coordinator for this office, I have worked with many times over the phone in addition to seeing her at check-ins in the office. She is extremely, professional, helpful and friendly with a smile that could light up a Christmas tree:):) You are definitely in good hands when you head there and if it is during a rare busy time, they’re great about giving you an ETA so you can handle shopping, order food, etc. before you get ALL your problem places adjusted. Amazing healing experiences and service, all the way around (and I have a high bar for these things).

Wow, great experience. First time going to chiropractor - so a lot of things I did not know. Right when I entered, I was greeted and helped by the staff. She clearly explained the electronic forms I was filling out. For first timers- there is a introductory special pricing which was nice. Afterwards I met with Dr. Rawlings who was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He did some basic stretch tests, asked a few injury-related questions. Per AI - " Massage therapy focuses on soft tissues to relieve muscle tension, while chiropractic care focuses on hard tissues like bones and joints to address spinal misalignments and improve nervous system function. " In short - they target different areas. Anyways he quickly diagnosed that I have 2 areas misaligned in my neck, and a few in my upper back. I asked him if he thinks that's due to something recent. But he said likely it's been there for a long time. He stated that people often don't really feel the misalignment unless the pain is above a certain threshold. In short- you can have joint misalignments for months/years and not know it. Then came to the quick adjustments. I laid down- and he expertly and quickly adjusted 2 joints in my upper back, and 2 in my lower back. Then I flip over and he stretched my neck, and gently made 2 adjustments- 1 on the left and 1 on the right. And that was it. I felt notably better immediately. The real difference was the evening time as I didn't real as much shoulder or neck pain. Dr. Rawlings recommended adjustments 2x a week for a month, and 1x a week thereafter. I got a package that gives 12 visits, and it was a very good deal. It was definitely a great experience and I learned so much and it taught me to be more mindful of my joints, and any reoccurring pains around my neck (due to work, sports, posture, carrying kids, etc).

My lower back went out and I could barely walk. I have chronic back problems with multiple fused vertebrae. I do as much consistent and daily self care as possible; yoga, stretching, swimming, elliptical training, core strengthening etc. I even have an inversion table. I need extra help this time to get better as quickly as possible so I was willing to pay out of pocket for help because I don’t have coverage for chiropractic. I saw The Joint’s advertisement for a $29 first visit adjustment and consultation. Very fair price. Dr. Rollins first explained that he can’t magically “fix” me but he could help me. I’m already aware that I can’t be magically fixed at this stage. He thoroughly I listened, understood, and discussed my pain and issues with me, and explained how we could move forward. He only got one small “pop” out of my lower back, but I felt a satisfying release of pressure. I paid about $210 for 9 visits over the next two months. Extremely fair deal. I highly recommend Dr. Rollins and The Joint.

Ronda and Ernesto were both very kind and professional! I had been in agony for about a month with bad hip pain and being out of place in my neck and back. I had Dr. Gene at the Davis Branch. He did a great job! He really took the time to listen and make sure he got all of my pain areas. He's light on the neck, but still able to adjust it well. I was skeptical to check this place out because of prior experiences in other states with this franchised tbusiness. This one totally disappointed just like all the others. Came in on Saturday to have a new patient appointment and was told that they had no front desk help and that we would have to come back on Monday. CWaited outside in the cold for half an hour only to have the doors open and told to go away. I have never seen a more dysfunctional ran business. This place is a total joke. Other people were in the same situation and no one at the business seem to care. Save yourself and go to work your chiropractic office not a franchised place that operates like a McDonald’s.

I live in chronic pain. Well. Imagine my surprise when I found out that the joint was coming to the marketplace!! (I live down the street.) With the name “the joint” I assumed it was a new medical cannabis dispensary, come to find out that it’s a chiropractor! Ffw about 2 years later, and I was diagnosed with something called myofacial pain syndrome due to my hEDS. I injured my back and decided to give it a try! Anything to fix my back. The owner went to work on my achy back, and I was just there today getting my myofacia released. My shoulder is no longer killing me!! They’re awesome. If you have back problems, you won’t be disappointed!

The joint has become one of my favorite places to visit weekly....seriously!!! I LOVE the hospitality and communication style of the front desk receptionist, Andrea, who clearly specializes in communication and serving others to a high standard. The chiropractor and director, Daniel, is a miracle worker! Sometimes, the location is short-staffed with receptionists and PACKED with patients but that doesn't impede the quality of Dr. Daniel's adjustments. Not only have I witnessed his efficient skills in running the front desk and taking back the triage of returning clients, but also, handling the administrative duties of emailing, taking calls, and setting up new patients with the highly affordable treatment plans they offer, all while Doc continues to remain attentive and is THOROUGH in performimg full body adjustments for his patients. He not only focuses on areas of the body that were painful in prior visits but also goes ABOVE and BEYOND to inquire about other areas of the body that I miss myself, not realizing how badly it was needed, and he is consistent in doing this for EVERY one of his patients. It doesn't matter if every seat is taken in the facility-his standard of quality care NEVER misses,it's done in a time efficient manner (since it's first come first serve based)and so much grace.I pray the company hires more providers and receptionists to make their workload more manageable, so they don't get burnt out with their exceptional work- because Dr. Daniel is truly one of a kind chiropractor and Andrea is truly a-ray-of-sunshine! ♡

I love this place so much I come every week! I miss Dr. Defrese, but Dr. Kim and Dr. Orendain are both great, very skilled chiropractors, and of course the receptionist, Rea always brightens my day! Before I started seeking chiropractic care, I was in an accident where I injured my lower back, and for three months after the injury, I couldn’t stand or walk for more than 15 minutes at a time without my legs going numb. After one adjustment, Dr. Defrese had me up and walking comfortably and I’ve been a regular ever since. I live a VERY active lifestyle working with farm animals, so I always have something going wrong. The wonderful doctors at the Joint keep my spine and therefore my life in line so that I can stay functional! Thank you to the whole team at the Joint Davis!

Updated since Dr Daniel is no longer with the Joint. Dr Orendian after one of the many Dr’s I’ve seen since then: Such a convenient location, right off the freeway and near the grocery store. Dr Orendain is Absolutely Amazing. Currently he’s at the Davis location only on Mondays. Wendy they Saturday you’ll need to travel to the West Sacramento location where many of us do go when we miss him on Mondays. Dr. O listens to me and makes sure to get all the adjustments I need. Very caring and uses great technique. I Highly recommend Dr O! He’s well worth the trip to West Sacramento of you are able. We really need him here in Davis more than one day a week. When Dr Rawlings started at the Davis clinic, Dr Orendain went down to one day a week. Dr Rawlings is there Tues-Sat. He’s ok but not my preference of pressure and technique. The receptionist Hailey is also very kind and knowledgeable. Can we please have Dr O back more than one day a week??

Everyone from the front desk staff to the chiropractors have been so pleasant to work with. I love that they don’t require anything from doctors or insurance companies and that you can show up without an appointment. It’s the effortlessness that makes showing up both attainable and sustainable. The chiropractors treat your body as a whole, interconnected unit and I’ve felt great improvements with my TMJ after adjustments not only specific to the area but also to the back and pelvis. This is my favorite location! I drive 25 minutes just to come to this location even though there is a Joint within a few blocks of where I live. The staff is the best. Every time I walk in I am greeted by name by the lovely Rea. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait but I never mind it because Rea is super sweet and makes an effort to ask me about my day, weekend plans etc. Dr. Orendain really takes time to listen to his patients needs and no matter how busy it is, I never feel rushed. He still thoroughly takes his time. Dr. Defrese is also great! He’s the best at cracking necks and really focuses on relieving pressure points.10/10, love this location! This crew saved my life! When I first came in, I threw my back so bad I could barely walk let alone sit. Dr. Defrese was so kind, understanding and really cared about his work and my well being. He set a care plan for me to come in and my life has been different ever since. I highly recommend both Dr. Defrese and Dr. Oredain. I was hesitant to see a chiropractor but after having constant lower back and neck pain, I decided to finally go. I’m really glad that I did because my back pain has since felt a lot better and I feel a difference in when I walk and sit! It’s a weekly thing I plan to do and I always look forward to it! The staff are friendly and very welcoming. I love that you can go to any of their locations and that they’re open late in the day and on Saturdays! This was my pre-pandemic review… —The Joint is wonderful. Treatment is just as good as any private practice I’ve been to… and more convenient… and less expensive — UPDATE 9/25 It’s even better now. Staff is awesome and Dr. Rawlings gives a fantastic adjustment. They’ve reworked membership options too, they now have one that really fits my “visit-profile”. I cannot say enough positive things about this spot! Fridays with Dr.Oredain have been lifesaving for a hygienist like myself. My body hates me by the end of a long work week and Dr.Oredain gets me out of pain after each adjustment. On top of my demanding career, I also have Fibromyalgia. Since going every week, my Fibromyalgia has been manageable! On the weeks it isn’t, I go more for just an extra $10! I have been going for a couple months now and I do not think I can live without it. My back feels so much better after each visit. Today was great, I felt very refreshed and very well taken cared of. Just do not be afraid to talk to the doctor about your pains. Sometimes, on certain days/times of the week, the alignment can feel a bit rushed since I am too afraid to speak up if there is still pain, so just don’t be afraid to mention if there is still pain somewhere.
