A graduate of local Life West Chiropractic College , who studied Science, Biology, Anatomy and Chiropractic medicine, she received her doctorate of chiropractic in 2003 , she still enjoys learning and loves sharing about health related issues, wellness and Chiropractic care.
Dr. Rema, as she likes to be called, says the best thing about being in the chiropractic field is: “Helping patients get out of pain and educating them on overall physical & mental health.”.
The second best thing about being in the chiropractic field is “Love meeting new people. Loves to mentor and is doing what she loves ”.
Dr. Reema lived abroad as a young child and now enjoys living in the Bay Area near friends. She also enjoys Cooking and entertaining with her husband who is a hypnotherapist.
She knew chiropractic was his calling when- “Always knew she wanted to be a Dr to help people but didn’t know what kind. Worked in medical and dental but disliked because there wasn’t enough patient connection and interaction. Never knew about chiropractic but fell in love after being invited to an event at Life West and saw a room full of happy people engaging with each other and saw how chiropractic was a fun engaging field of study.”

In Case You Didn’t Know: What’s the one thing in your fridge that you must have, and why? Dr. Reema says she must have Cucumbers and healthy snacks, they are the kind of snacks I like best.
What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done, and why was it so cool?
Helping a patient reverse cancer and another overcome diabetes, it was so rewarding to see the healing process take place in one of my own patients.
Dr. Bob Swiryn joined The Joint Chiropractic’s family of local healthcare providers in 2020 at Joint Chiropractic’s North Bay Area locations. A graduate of Life Chiropractic College, West, who studied Religion andChiropractic, he received his doctorate of chiropractic in 1992, enjoys teaching and loves sharing about the profession. Dr. Bob, as he likes to be called, says the best thing about being in the chiropractic field is: “I enjoy working for The Joint because I get to just be the doctor, doing what I love best – treating patients – while allowing others to take care of the business end of the practice”. I like the Hayward location, as it’s a short commute from home (SF), and I can interact with students from Life West.
The second best thing about being in the chiropractic field is: “ It’s an opportunity to help others in a rewarding career.”. After much World travel, Dr. Bob still enjoys living in the Bay Area.
He also enjoys Golf, music, travel, playing the guitar. He knew chiropractic was his calling when- “ I had several back injuries early in life, and was very impressed when my mother took me to a chiropractor who was able to give me instant relief – although not permanent – while the medical doctors I saw were talking about drugs and surgery”

Dr. Bob says he must have a healthy diet and life style.
If he could sit down with any three people for the dinner party of his dreams, he would include: 1) The Dalai Lama, Jesus, Buddha and Norm McDonald. I would be able to ask questions about the personal lives and knowledge of some of the greatest religious leaders of the world, and have Norm’s sense of humor keep us all grounded and enjoying the dinner.
The coolest thing you’ve ever done, and why was it so cool?
I think jumping out of an airplane with a parachute was pretty cool because it made me overcome fear and give me the unique perspective of free falling and gliding through the air.

A product of Northern CA and Ireland and still enjoys living in the Bay Area near friends. He also likes Concerts, sporting events, fishing, hiking, playing guitar, snowboarding, and water sports.
He knew chiropractic was his calling when- “Both of my parents are chiropractors, so I have been around chiropractic and have seen the benefits my whole life. I tried other career paths because I did not want to get into chiropractic just because it is what my parents do, but after other careers and then deciding to become a chiropractor, I could not imagine doing anything else.”

Dr. Bower says he must have Eggs, the only kind of breakfast I like.
If he could sit down with any three people for the dinner party of his dreams, he would include: Bob Marley – One of my favorite artists but would also love to hear his thoughts on peace, freedom and equality. Sir Alex Fergusgon – Not only my favorite but one of the greatest soccer coaches of all time. I would love to pick his brain and get inside information. BJ Palmer – Not only the developer of chiropractic but a very inspirational speaker. I would recommend looking up his quotes. Steph Curry – Because who wouldn’t want to have dinner and a shoot around with the best shooter ever.
What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done, and why was it so cool? I went to 8 music festivals over 8 years in 3 different countries. I think this is so cool because I got to travel, meet amazing people and see so much music I may not have been able to see otherwise.
Dr. Hector joined The Joint Chiropractic’s family of local healthcare providers in 2022 at Joint Chiropractic’s East Bay locations of El Cerrito and San Rafael. A graduate of local Life West Chiropractic College, who studied Biology and Chiropractic medicine, he received his doctorate of chiropractic in 2019 , he still enjoys learning and loves teaching and working with his patients about health and Chiropractic care.
Dr. Hector, as he likes to be called, says the best thing about being in the chiropractic field is: “Innate Natural Care for the betterment of Humanity ”.
The second best thing about being in the chiropractic field is “Seeing people reconnect with Life and with what they Love to do ”.
Dr. Hector grew up in the Bay Area area and now enjoys living in the area near friends and family. He also enjoys Athletic activities (Baseball, weights, skateboarding), Spirituality, and trying new vegan food.
He knew chiropractic was his calling when- “Since very early in life I have been sensitive and aware of the suffering of the world and I knew since a kid that I would help empower humanity by accessing our Innate wisdom from within, ultimately leading to reduction in unnecessary suffering”.

Four “famous” people, living or dead (but not friends/family members), who would comprise your perfect dinner party, and why: D.D Palmer - The Founder of Chiropractic, BJ Palmer - The Developer of Chiropractic, Krishna - Spiritual Being full of Light, The Buddha - To Belly laugh. It would be a very fun cool evening for sure.
What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done, and why was it so cool: Traveling to India for one-year in free clinics that made Chiropractic care accessible to the local communities. Here I was able to work with thousands of people; I learned so much from every single one - I will never forget this time and the immense growth that took place.
