Dr. Mark Hamilton joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2013 when he became part of the team at the Huntington Beach clinic, where he does the rewarding work of helping people as their local healthcare provider.

“The best thing about being in the chiropractic field is helping people achieve optimal health and healing their body the way it was meant to,” he says. “The second best thing is changing people’s perspectives and getting them on track to a healthier lifestyle.”

Dr. Hamilton grew up on a turkey farm in a small Midwest town. After hurting his neck playing football in high school, he went to a chiropractor where the philosophy of the practice resonated with him.

After graduating from Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio, he earned a Doctorate at Palmer College of Chiropractic. Dr. Hamilton’s two brothers and sister-in-law are also chiropractors. He previously worked in Cleveland, Ohio, and at clinics on Catalina Island, in Garden Grove, and in Orange, Calif.

Dr. Hamilton has two daughters and one son, and the family has two dogs and two cats. He enjoys watching college football, going to the beach, biking, swimming, and spending time with his kids. He also loves playing pool with his son and playing cornhole in the summer with friends.

He knew chiropractic was his calling when he was in college considering an exercise physiology degree; he revisited his interest in chiropractic and chose to pursue it.

He’s had many memorable experiences as a chiropractor. “After thousands and thousands of adjustments, it's validating to see how chiropractic not only improves the life of the patient, but also their children, family, and friends.”

Dr. Hamilton likes working at The Joint in Huntington Beach because, as a local, he feels a strong sense of community and it feels like home.

In Case You Didn’t Know

One thing Dr. Hamilton always has in his refrigerator is turkey.

If he was planning the ideal dinner party and could invite anyone famous, he would choose four of his closest friends.

One of the most meaningful experiences of Dr. Hamilton’s life was a mission trip to the Dominican Republic, where they set up tables and gave chiropractic adjustments to the locals. It boosted his appreciation for the wide range of resources in America. The greatest experience of his life was the birth of his three children.

The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett is one of Dr. Hamilton’s favorite books because it reminds him of his grandma.

Dr. Masler went through the traditional medical route of seeing orthopedists, neurologists, physical therapists, took medications and was facing surgery. None of this resolved his pain. He then went to a chiropractor and as they say “the rest was history”. His experience with chiropractic ignited his passion to help others regain their health.

Dr. Masler is married with 2 daughters and 2 grandchildren. He enjoys spending time with his family (fur babies included), working out, and driving in his car while listening to his favorite music.
