Meet The Doctors
Dr. DeLaMare graduated from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1990. Following graduation, he spent nearly two years practicing in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. In June of 1992 Dr. DeLaMare began his own practice in San Dimas, CA. His focus was family health and personal injury. In the fall of 1998 he became the membership chairman of Doctor’s Injury Network, Inc., a referral and educational network for personal and work-related injuries. In 2002 Dr. DeLaMare became the CEO and moved this company into the Continuing Education business for chiropractors, providing CEU’s to doctors of chiropractic in California on a bi-monthly basis. In 2002 Dr. DeLaMare became a QME providing examinations for injured workers as well as providing utilization reviews. He sold his practice in June of 2012 and elected to keep a very small practice traveling to the patients a couple days a week while exploring other interests such as entrepreneurship and investments. These other interests led him to cross paths with The Joint. After learning of the benefits The Joint offered to the public, Dr. DeLaMare elected to become one of their treating doctors.
My family moved to Mission Viejo when I was 5 years old. It was so much fun growing up in this area. I have so many fond memories living here.
All of my schooling was local up through high school. After high school, I attended Saddleback Community College and graduated with a Associate of Arts degree. I was then accepted to California State University Long Beach where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology.
I always knew I had a calling to take care of others but didn’t know what exactly I should do. One day my personal Chiropractor recommended I become a Chiropractor. So I applied and was accepted to Los Angeles College of Chiropractic and graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2001.
I have now been practicing, here in California, for over 20 years and enjoy being able to help others through it.
On a personal note, I enjoy fishing and am a car enthusiast. And those are fun hobbies to have, but what I love and treasure the most is my wife and son! They are truly The Lord’s gift to me! They put a smile on my face and heart and they are what I look forward to each and every day!
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. My name is Dr. Chris Hawn. I was raised in Huntington Beach, California, and completed my undergraduate education at San Diego State University. I later attended the renowned Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, where I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1981, graduating cum laude. During my time at Palmer, I was honored with a Distinguished Service Award and a scholarship, and I proudly competed on the college's rugby team, winning the National Championship in 1978.
As a licensed chiropractor in California for over 43 years, I've had the privilege of treating a wide variety of conditions--from post-surgical low back pain to colic in infants. My patients have ranged in age from just 3 days old to 92 years young. Each individual brings a unique story, and I remain deeply committed to providing personalized, compassionate care.
Though I am not currently participating in state programs, I have previously been certified as both a Qualified Medical Examiner and Disability Evaluator for the State of California.
I opened my first practice in Westminster, California, and in 1987, expanded to a second location in Laguna Niguel, which I successfully ran until selling the practice in 2011. After taking two years to travel the world, I returned to the profession and opened a satellite clinic in San Juan Capistrano in 2013.
Most recently, I joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2023, where I currently see and accept new patients at the Lake Forest office. Whether you are dealing with chronic pain, recovering from an injury, or simply looking to maintain your wellness, I look forward to helping you achieve your health goals.
