“The best thing about being in the chiropractic field is working with God's greatest creation, which is the human body,” he says. “Chiropractic provides a solution to pain without surgery and medications. If that's not miraculous, I don't know what is.”

Dr. Garcia grew up in Oxnard where he saw the value of chiropractic care personally. “I first was a patient of chiropractic, then an assistant to a chiropractor, and finally called to become one myself,” he says.

He loves helping members of his community achieve their health goals. “I enjoy seeing patients feel so much better that they refer their family and friends to the office,” he says.

Dr. Garcia enjoys the beach and spending time with his wife and two daughters when he’s not treating patients at The Joint. “Besides chiropractor, other titles I carry are husband, father, church elder, and coach,” he says.

He earned a Doctorate of Chiropractic at the Southern California University of Health Sciences in Whittier. He had a particular interest in the study of anatomy, spending 90 additional hours in the cadaver lab for torso and brain dissection.

Dr. Garcia sees the significance of his work every day as he meets with patients. “Pain is simple to understand and resolve, but the current medical model makes it complicated,” he says. “I enjoy working with The Joint, not only because it provides such a convenient and economic approach, but many experience chiropractic for the first time here. “The best thing about being in the chiropractic field is having the ability to help people’s bodies heal from the inside out,” she says. “It’s a natural approach to healthcare. No drugs. No surgeries. No shots. Realigning the spine to help the body restore proper function and heal through our knowledge and hands is extremely gratifying.”

Dr. Lisa, as her patients call her, was born in Santa Barbara and grew up in Thousand Oaks; she has worked previously in Goleta, Montecito, Simi Valley and Ventura.

She is married to an IT professional in a family business in Oxnard and they have a young son and daughter. When they aren’t doting on their French bulldog Ruby or their 18 chickens -- and all of them have names, including Thelma and Louise -- Dr.Lisa enjoys baking, working out, listening to audiobooks, and going to the beach as a family.

Dr. Lisa earned her bachelor’s degree in exercise science and sports medicine, with an emphasis on human performance, from California Lutheran. She then earned her doctorate from the Palmer College of Chiropractic West Campus in San Jose.

“I knew I wanted a career in healthcare when I started college,” Dr. Lisa says. “A man from my church was a chiropractor and my dad suggested shadowing him. When I did, I was amazed with what chiropractic care was and how it helped people, how someone’s hands could help restore health. I shadowed the doctor for months and eventually worked for him my last two years of college before entering chiropractic school.”

Dr. Lisa says the one thing she always has in her refrigerator is cheese: “It can go on practically anything! It’s good for quesadillas, grilled cheese, burritos, tacos, sandwiches -- you can’t go wrong with cheese.”

Dr. Lisa says the coolest thing she has done was a two-week trip to the birthplace of the Renaissance. “I visited my best friend in Florence during winter break and we traveled all around Italy,” she says. “It was great to visit beautiful places such as the Sistine Chapel, fashion capital Milan, and the leaning tower of Pisa -- all the while eating amazing food and touring beautiful sites and museums.”

Its been about 2 years now since ive been here and I put this on everything I own, they saved my life. 3 of my own insurance paid doctors tried to get me to do surgery with a 30 second leg lift. But this place got rid of my sciatica and pinched nerves. I'm not going to sugar coat it and say he babied me, nope! He was retired military and said it needs to hurt at first to heal and I trusted the process. Glad I came here for a 4th opinion instead of doing surgery at 38 at K permanente. I would not recommend this chiropractor based on our experience. My mom went in because she was having pain in her ankle. Today, we found out that she had been signed up for a three-month treatment plan and was being charged an amount that she was not aware of. My mom only speaks Spanish, but everything was explained to her in English, and she was basically told to sign the paperwork. She did not fully understand what she was agreeing to. When we went in today to ask about the charges and explain the situation, we were told there was nothing they could do because the paperwork was already signed. What was most disappointing was the lack of understanding or concern. There was no apology or attempt to help resolve the situation. I feel that they should have made sure my mom fully understood what she was signing, especially knowing that she does not speak English. This experience left us feeling that the process was not transparent or fair.

Dr. Ashley was fantastic, have never ever had a chiropractor that made me feel way better. My wife is pregnant and Dr Ashley helps her more than other doctors can. She has a pregnancy pillow and is super careful but ensures that she gets popped well and her body feels way better. Also the front desk person allisa was very easy going and helpful and definitely wanted to get the monthly membership due to the hospitality!!! Would recommend again and again!!!

Dr. Garcia has a different approach then some of the other doctors, however, I find it to be the most helpful! (We all have different things going on and need different techniques) I like what he does and it seems to help! He is there because he actually cares about his work and making a difference! I have always been skeptical and feared chiropractor offices. I have reached a point of pain and desperation. As a last resort of SELF CARE, I let my daughter convince me to go and I DO NOT REGRET IT!! first visit released lots of tension and stress in my neck, shoulders and back, second visit pain in my shoulder gone and with every visit the ROM in each joint improves. I'm one of those people that doesn't like to ask for help. Wether it's moving furniture that's too big for me or taking out a tree because it wasn't planned in the right spot. I travel a lot for work and sometimes I’ll have a subpar experience depending on the doctor and the location. Today I went in to the Oxnard location and my experience was one of the best chiropractic experiences I have ever had. I went in with a pulled trap and Dr. Garcia was exceptionally thorough and attentive with his adjustment. He released some of the pain using trigger points which i have never had done before but within seconds it made the pain disappear. He guided me through what not to do to worsen my injury as well as walked me through an exercise to help it heal faster. Overall an amazing experience. Very personable and he genuinely cares and has a clear passion for his work. He truly puts the “care” in healthcare. Highly recommend Dr. Garcia and the oxnard location.

My buddy found this place due to us working in Oxnard, Ventura area front desk always helpful and always greets us I was new at the time and was kind of confused how it worked Hayley broke it down to me in detail and now I understand, Dr Garcia first time I met him gave me a detailed explanation of everything and broke everything down to me so that I could understand the chiropractic terms anywhere else they just would do treatment and never say anything but Dr Garcia has been exceptionally good and due to the Laborer work I do I beat my body up daily I would def say my go to chiropractors are Dr Garcia and Dr Aaron no disrespect to anyone else there but definitely professional the inside is clean bathroom is clean just overall good well maintained business and I am glad that I have came to this place thanks to my buddy as long as I am working in the area I will def be coming back and def highly recommend coming here thank you all for your service and I’ll be back next week :)

I recently saw Dr. John Silvera, who was covering for another chiropractor, and I was really impressed. He took the time to listen to the pain I was describing in my neck and back areas, and made the proper adjustments that gave me a lot of relief. What I really enjoyed was that he explained the anatomy he worked on, showing me the cervical vertebrae on a model and how those adjustments would help give relief in certain spots. His touch was gentle and effective—not too much pressure, but just enough to make a difference. I have seen other chiropractors who have had extremely strong hands and given me soreness, and others where I leave barely feeling a difference. Even though he was just filling in at Oxnard, I could tell Dr. Silvera knows his stuff—and that comes with experience. I left feeling so much better and even educated on my own spinal anatomy. If you’re looking for a decorated chiropractor who really listens to you and knows how to help, I’d definitely recommend him! I would definitely go out of my way to visit him at his primary location if that means I could receive the same treatment again.

I started going to Joint Chiropractic since June 16 this year. The treatment is not pricey. I’ve been seeing Dr. Garcia for my on going treatments. He is excellent with what he does. He establish a good relationship with his patients by listening to your concerns. He doesn’t only focus with your treatment but he’s very good with patient teaching eg. foods to be avoided that can trigger your pain , medication regimen and therapeutic exercises/activities that you can do at home. After few treatments with him my pain/spasms on my lumbar spine subsided. Since then I even stopped taking medications that I don’t really need. He’s even helping me with my tension headaches and knee pain. Thank you very much Dr. Garcia.

I went in for my first initial visit, and the staff was very friendly, no issues there. My only complaint is I didn’t feel I had a consultation or exam while I was there. I LOVE this place. I have been going for a month and I can feel the difference. Found this place off of a Facebook ad. The first visit was great establishing care as a new patient. I got full explanation and a quote as well as a fantastic adjustment. I was told this was a walk in clinic and no appointments were necessary. I came in for my second visit and was told I could not be seen as a walk in and would have better luck with an appointment. I made an appointment and arrived 10 minutes early. I was told I would have a 40 minute wait, As there was a walk-in initial consultation in front of me. I tried to explain that I had an appointment and was told to make an appointment as opposed to just walking in. The Doctor kept interrupting me and wouldn't let me explain that we were asked to make an appointment. He said "don't shoot the messenger. Call corporate, "they would love to hear from you ".

I hurt my back at the gym and I felt as if something was out of place. Sure enough I was right. I came in for the first time as a new patient and it was a lot of paper work of course I’m new. The doctor took about 10 mins to see me after the paper work and he was amazing he sat down with me talked about my pain history and the really bad pain I was experiencing at the moment. He saw that my left side was lower than my right and I did tweak my hips. He cracked me and I felt so much relief. I highly recommend this doctor he does miracles!

For the quickness and effectiveness of getting re-adjusted at a fair price, it’s good that if you have an occurrence working and you need adjusted your can walk in , they ask you what where how, they look at you, and snap ya back in shape.. $90 a month for 4 visits is good once a week and you have various locations Ya just stop by.. really good idea whomever thought of it. Sold to me!!
