Dr. Fateh Badr became part of The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2021 when he began serving residents in the Inland Empire, giving him the opportunity to continue doing the work he finds so rewarding.
“It’s gratifying to design noninvasive and natural individual treatment plans to help every patient achieve the best outcome possible,” he says. “That’s why I chose chiropractic over 25 years ago. “I love interacting with patients and earning their trust as they allow me to care for them and support their overall health and well-being.”
Dr. Badr has worked throughout the southland for years, serving communities in Los Angeles, Pasadena, and North Hollywood. Raised in Corvallis, Ore., he has been married for more than 30 years and his family includes two adult sons.
In his spare time, Dr. Badr enjoys watching the NFL and documentaries, and reading.
He attended Oregon State University, where he studied anatomy, physiology, and biology. He earned his doctorate of chiropractic from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles.
One of the driving forces that led him to become a chiropractor took place because of athletics. “As a wrestler,” he says, “chiropractic was the main treatment that helped me maintain overall wellness.”
Now, he is able to do the same thing for patients: “Making significant differences in a patient’s life by relieving pain and improving health is extremely rewarding work.”
In Case You Didn’t Know
If he could bring together any four people from history for his ideal dinner party, Dr. Badr would bring together singer Andrea Bocelli, genius Albert Einstein, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey, and the founder of chiropractic, DD Palmer.
A voracious reader, Dr. Badr often buries himself in local and international news, research studies, and articles. “I’m constantly educating myself in order to stay relevant,” he says.
Some of the best advice he has ever received came from his father, Cyrus Badr, MD: “You have two ears and one mouth; listen more and talk less."
Dr. Luke Mattison earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from the University of Bridgeport in 2008. Since becoming a Licensed Chiropractor, he has been committed to serving his local communities and providing the healing benefits of chiropractic. To date, Dr. Mattison is very impressed with the healing power of chiropractic and the impact on the quality of lives that it brings to his patients.
Dr. Mattison was previously working at The Joint Chiropractic Van Nuys and Porter Ranch, California locations. Since, he has moved to the Inland Empire and is now excited to be serving the Chino Hills community. He is extremely driven to make a difference and impact the Chino Hills community by using his passion to help, heal and educate all of his patients.
Since becoming a Chiropractor, Dr. Mattison has dedicated his career to providing knowledge and experience to help patients with a non-surgical and drugless approach to healing. He is committed to understanding his patient’s complaints and providing chiropractic manipulations and strengthening exercises that will align his patients to be out of pain. He understands the benefits of chiropractic care and has personally helped patients to recover and improve from neck and back pain. Amongst others, he has also helped to treat scoliosis, disc conditions, headaches, reduce inflammation, high blood pressure and sciatica. Patient care is his priority. Dr. Mattison welcomes you to come and treat with him.
Dr. Raul Ramirez became part of The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2019 when he began serving residents in the Inland Empire, where he continues doing the work he finds so gratifying. He joined the Riverside Plaza clinic location.
“In my opinion, the best thing about being in the chiropractic field is the ability to help people enjoy life moments pain-free and to the fullest,” he says. “I personally enjoy helping people make memories with their loved ones.
“Teaching and keeping people physically active and moving is rewarding. Movement is one of the best noninvasive remedies for both chronic and acute pain.” Dr. Ramirez worked previously in Redondo Beach, Corona, Chino Hills, Hemet, and Fontana, where he was raised.
A self-professed “gym junkie and strength nerd,” he is a competitive powerlifter who got his doctorate from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. Before that, he got a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and pre-allied health.
“Growing up, I was a multi-sport athlete and was injured during a football practice,” Dr. Ramirez says. “After going to Kaiser I was given medication and it did not help me at all. My parents took me to a chiropractor and I left that day with zero pain or discomfort. It was then that I knew I wanted to be able to help others in the exact way I was helped.”
The thing he likes best about working in Riverside is running into familiar faces that remind him of the pride he feels being such an important part of the community he lives in.
In Case You Didn’t Know
Dr. Ramirez says he always keeps meat stocked in his freezer. After all, he says, “protein is king.”
If he could bring together any four people from history, he would include Travis Scott “because he’s my favorite artist”; Kanye West “because he is relentless and does whatever comes to his mind, successfully”; Vince Lombardi, “the legendary football coach who was way ahead of his time’; and “Rihanna, because it’s Rihanna.”
One of his most amazing experiences took place when he was a medical provider for a weeklong bike ride known as AIDS Life Cycle. “It’s a charity in which cyclists ride from San Francisco down to Los Angeles,” he says. “Helping riders along the way for an amazing cause was life-changing.”
One of the books that has been most meaningful to him is Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl. “He was an actual survivor of the holocaust who writes about his thoughts and mindset through survival,” he says. “It’s a great grounding book and makes you value the life that we live today.”
Some of the best advice he ever received came from his high school football coach: “If it is to be, it’s up to me.”
Likewise, Dr. Ramirez advises to “focus on the things you can control, have a goal, and don’t quit until you reach that goal. Play the long game, be patient, and enjoy all the setbacks; it’s all part of the story.”
