This is an average chiropractic clinic for on-demand adjustment.
It's important to note that the main method of care in this practice is manual adjustments. This is the typical spine cracking, neck twisting, and popping you see online. It is important to note that this may only provide temporary relief, and may not be the best approach for certain conditions.
They do not perform X-Rays or other diagnostic tests at this practice. Your intake session consists of a visual assessment of your condition and a survey of rating your pain/discomfort.
They will encourage you to purchase their package deals or their memberships. These memberships are completely non-refundable and front loaded. That means you pay the whole package of adjustments at the beginning of your pay cycle, and if you do not use them you lose the adjustments and the money *forever.* To put that in perspective: if you forget to use your one adjustment a week for the month, bye bye to your $85, you'll never see it again. Forget a whole year? Hope you weren't needing those $1,000...
The process to cancel your membership is extremely convoluted. You can only cancel on the very last week of your membership cycle AND you must perform an exit exam. I was told by a worker there that it was some legal policy, but I cannot find anything that states this. It is also not stated in any of their contracts.
If you know manual adjustment will help your condition, you know you'll use your visits, and you remember their weird cancelation practice; go for it. Otherwise, in the city of Salinas, you're probably just as good looking up a simple yoga flow to do at home or seeing a physical therapist covered by your insurance. Save the money and time.

After years of chronic headaches and migraines my PCP recommend I see a chiro. I was so desperate for relief that despite my busy schedule I tried The Joint. In short, this place is perfect. I am in and out without having to make an appointment etc. (hassle!). I can walk in whenever I need my adjustment and I am usually in and out within 15 minutes with the same adjustments and care you’d receive at your typical hour long appt. elsewhere. My headaches are now gone and I feel so great in result to my weekly visits. Thank you Dr. Joe and Dr. Rob! Also, shoutout to the girls in the front- they are always very kind and welcoming.

**WARNING *** Will never use this location ever again both secretary and the chiropractor are extremely unprofessional and both were yelling at me when I told them they charged me when I did not get adjusted there. They even were yelling at the other location when I got them on the phone. Horrible why to treat people there was another man in there at the same time wanting to cancel because of the way he was spoken to as well. Been attending for almost 2 years pretty much weekly. Low back pain is almost completely gone and I don’t have flare ups anymore. I’m able to golf again and not worry about throwing my back out. I also almost never get headaches anymore which I had sometimes 2 times a week before attending. Every Dr does great work and I’m forever grateful for signing up. I started going to Joint 2 years ago with chronic back pain. Seeing them regularly got rid of my pain, though I needed regular visits to keep it away. Because of my reduced pain I was able to be much more active. This resulted in in a 50 pound weight loss and a huge positive improvement to my life as a whole. I now go in to see them to keep my back in order I rarely get pain, and if I do they are able to correct it immediately. This place is awesome!

The advertising feels misleading. You go in expecting the low-priced first visit/exam deal, then end up being pressured into signing up for a recurring wellness plan. I spent almost an hour there going back and forth and felt pushed into agreeing to something I never really wanted just to move the process along.
The biggest problem is that the membership continues billing unless you cancel a very specific way in writing. I later got charged another $89 and was denied a refund.
The owner response keeps pointing to “policy,” but that does not change the fact that the sales process felt high pressure and unclear. Customers should fully understand they are signing up for ongoing recurring charges before being pressured at the front desk. Then they say email or call just to get no help or response.
Very frustrating experience. Read everything carefully before signing anything here.

Very disappointed with the billing practices at The Joint Chiropractic in Salinas. I was charged another $89 after I believed my 3-month agreement had already ended. When I contacted them, they refused to issue a refund and simply told me to “use the visits” because of their policy. Also the first time I was there, there aint no 29 dollar adjustment you are basically forced to get on a plan. The visits also dont roll over if unused.
I also submitted a refund request and received no response. Customer service and communication were poor, especially when trying to resolve a billing issue professionally.
Be very careful signing up for memberships here. Make sure you fully understand the recurring billing terms and cancellation process before giving them your card information.

I’ve had great experiences here with both Dr. Josh and Dr. Davis. I’ve been going consistently for about a year now, and I truly believe it’s made a difference for me. I’ve had headaches that lasted days completely go away within minutes after a simple adjustment. As someone who’s dealt with back and neck issues for a while, that’s been huge.
Dr. Josh is super nice and great for a quick tune-up when you just need to get back on track. Dr. Davis is also very kind, but takes his time and really focuses on technique. You can tell he’s very thorough and intentional with his adjustments.
They both have different styles, which I actually really appreciate. The office is welcoming and comfortable, and I always leave feeling better.

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Davis at The Joint Chiropractic in Salinas. When I first walked in, I was barely able to stand. I was in excruciating lower back pain due to two herniated discs at L3 and L5, hunched over and relying on a walker just to get around.
Fast forward just two weeks, and I’m now walking in without a walker and feeling only minor pressure instead of constant pain. Dr. Davis has truly changed my day-to-day quality of life. I’m able to move, function, and live again in ways I honestly didn’t think would be possible so soon.
I also want to give a huge thank you to the young woman at the front desk. She greets me with a smile every single time, remembers my name, and makes me feel genuinely welcome. That kind of service is rare these days, and it makes a huge difference.
Between the care, professionalism, and compassion, they’ve earned a customer for life. I’m incredibly grateful.

Zero stars if I could.
First off, I have been a patient here in the past. Had a great experience and was able to manage my back and neck issues. As a result, I recommend my partner to visit them on a Saturday, after he had a back issue that limited his walking. He went in and allowed them to talk him into signing a 2 month plan. Fine, he literally went twice in about 6 weeks. He attempted to go in to cancel, and they explained he needed to wait the full 2 months. He went in today to cancel, and they refused until he had a final evaluation by a doctor, said he needed an appt, and scheduled him for the end of the month. He is a people pleaser, and walked out frustrated not knowing what to do next. I went in afterwards, I told the young lady at the front; Lily, that I had been a patient there, and never had issues, and was able to cancel when I wanted to (after my 2 month plan, which I had actually wanted).
She said no, and said that per their policy they wouldn't be able to cancel until the doctor did one last evaluation, and sit down with him. This is the last where I lost it. I very firmly told her No, and that this was not going to happen. I explained to her that he wasn't coming back, because:
1. He has a regular chiropractor and this was meant to be an urgent 1 time thing.
2. He works unpredictable hours
3. After this unacceptable behavior on their part, he no longer wanted to go into their office.
I also explained to Lily, how the business is doing unlawful behavior in not allowing their memberships to be canceled as easily as they are to sign up for, its literally the law. She wouldn't budge, and frankly I no longer wanted to speak with her. I asked her to please give me the number to wherever I needed to call to escalate this, and I told her that I was canceling all future charges from their facility as well. She wrote the number to corporate, and handed me 2 business cards. When I got home, I was going to call corporate right away, and to my wonderful surprise she wrote down the number incorrectly, she added a whole extra digit. I googled the corporate number, and because it's Saturday was not able to speak to anyone. Ironically, their message queue says if this is about canceling a membership, to visit the clinic. I'm not doing that! This is so absurd and ridiculous, I don't know what makes them think they can treat patients/customers like that, and I'm surprised they are still in business after doing all these shady things. I called Lily to tell her that even though she gave me an incorrect number, I was able to Google it, and I told her how at first, I understood she was doing her job and this is obviously what they train her to do, but that now she made it personal by deliberately giving me an incorrect number. This is awful and I'm planning on filing a complaint with BBB as well as AG office. Their "policy " for canceling should change immediately, and again, I'm not sure if this is an issue in this particular office only, or if this is their business model. Either way, never stepping a foot in that office, and as a previous patient here, please look elsewhere.

The cancellation policy was not clearly or honestly explained. I was told I could freeze my plan and cancel before it restarted, but when I tried to do so, I was told I’d have to pay to unfreeze the plan just to cancel it as there was no way around it and there was nobody else I could talk to. Being required to pay additional fees simply to cancel after a freeze feels misleading and inappropriate.

The price range of the membership plans was explained however it was not stated that i if I move forward with the consultation that I had to be part a membership, which I had to pay that day of the consultation . So I could not just pay the $30 for the consult treatment and decide if I wanted to move forward or not. The decision was taken from me and I ended up having to pay 120.00 as a single mom of 3 with 1 income, that is a lot of money for me. This is not to say that the staff was not nice and pleasant. I normally don’t leave reviews, but my recent experience deserves to be shared.
I called to cancel my plan since I haven’t been able to make any sessions due to work, travel, and moving. Instead of a smooth process, I was met with unnecessary pushback from the staff. When I asked to speak with a manager or supervisor, another receptionist named Lili got on the phone. Her tone was unprofessional, loud, and sarcastic. She insisted that cancellations can only be done in person and, when I asked for a copy of the cancellation policy or to speak with someone above her, she told me there was no one else I could talk to and said, “That’s how it’s done, you just don’t like it.”
That type of response is completely unacceptable. Customers should not be belittled, cut off, or spoken down to when making a reasonable request. If in-person cancellation is the policy, it should be communicated respectfully and with clear instructions—not attitude.
If you are the owner of this franchise, I strongly urge you to train your staff in better customer service. A receptionist should never escalate a situation or make a client feel disrespected. Professionalism, patience, and basic courtesy go a long way in retaining clients.

If you’re looking for chiropractic care I’d stay away from this place. Went on a wellness plan and came to my adjustments, but instead of feeling better I started to feel worse. So I stopped going and called to cancel my wellness plan but they insisted I needed to come in to speak with the doctor to see what they can do better. I didn’t end up going in to talk the doctor because I had already made up my mind. I then owed a balance, and paid it off, and they continued to charge me even without me going and clearly specifying I didn’t want to continue with the plan. Asked for a refund and they said they couldn’t provide me my refund because they didn’t do that and due to me needing to come In person to cancel when I could’ve just canceled my plan over the phone. There is way better chiropractor spots in town than this place. If I could give no stars I would.

I went into the office in Salinas the GPS had me all Screwy...found the place by Safeway.... I have degenerative disc disease because of my Active Duty Navy time 14 1/2 years....my hands go numb because of a pinched nerve....I was tight but got loosen up....I actually fill really good....Thank you Joint Chiropractic fill really good.

3rd time visiting I’ve had a consultation and adjustment from two doctors here and I’ve enjoyed the experience of both. Dr. Davis is great at explaining . The front desk lady is also super nice and answering questions especially when offering membership or packages. The pops from the initial session were satisfying and my necks and hip discomfort had been so much better. I totally recommend it’s been making my mobility and lifts in the gym more comfortable. Love that I can walk in whenever I’m in the area with the membership and easy to use app.

We have been coming for over a year and my experience was always pleasant with Dr. Davis. He was always very professional and attentive to my needs and concerns. Recently they changed doctors and staff. I right away notice the receptionists were not professional at all! We started to see Dr. Joe and we instantly disliked him. He had no bedside manner and had time to deal with my personal needs! He treated us like a number and wanted to finish with us as fast as possible. He even went as far as to states “ why does everyone need to come at the same time!” With attitude while there was other patients around. I had no choice but to cancel my membership. While doing so at the front office Dr. Joe had the audacity to come from the back and said “ oh you have a cancellation! I like to see their faces when they are canceling!” As he walked away with a smirk on his face.

I am so glad I started coming to The Joint Chiropractic office. It had been years since my last adjustment and I was in need of getting my neck, lower back, and shoulders adjusted. It took a while to get my muscles loosened up, but I go get my weekly adjustment and it's always fulfilling and satisfying until the next visit. I can not say enough good things about this place, Dr. Joe has been nothing but informative and supportive throughout the whole process. My daughter is 5 months old and we primarily went for her reflux and constant throwing up. It’s almost been a month and she has significantly improved since the first visit. The whole office is amazing, the front desk staff is helpful and setting up treatment plans was easy. I now bring 2/3 daughters there to see him, and I would refer you to him in a heartbeat. I was in so much pain I could not walk 20 feet without being in terrible pain (level 8). I had seen a spine and joint specialist in Monterey and got nowhere. Was raining this morning and I went in a few minutes early for my appt. Guy at reception is like “we are not open yet”he didn’t greet me or smile. I never worked reception before but I did work retail when I was young. If that were me working I would have been like “good morning take a seat and I will get you in in just a few minutes we are still not open” or something like that. Very friendly. The receptionist which I believe is Julie is very welcoming and is very helpful when choosing a package. Been to a few different chiropractors in the area and have had success with all of them. I’ve eventually left due to feeling like I was being billed for services I didn’t still need. Now I clearly understand that proper spinal care is the same as eye care, dental care, or any other health care - it needs to be a continual preventive maintenance process, much like one visits the dentist twice per year for cleaning and inspection or how one would get periodic oil changes for their vehicle. So return visits are a crucial part of continued good spinal health.
In the spirit of full transparency, I already have a chiropractor that I enjoy. However, he closes early on Thursday and is closed on weekends. Thursday I wasn’t able to make it to his office and by Friday, I knew I wouldn’t make it through the weekend without care. I exercise daily, doing cardio, yoga, and stretching. Despite being in great health, every so often, my back just spasms and locks up. I haven’t yet found a simple answer as to why; but chiropractic care coupled with yoga has always helped ease my genetic scoliosis.
On to the practice! The Joint comes across very modern. Paperwork is all done on an iPad. The receptionist was exceptionally kind and helpful. It took about ten minutes to fill out the paperwork and be seen. The Dr introduced himself and asked mea. Few questions regarding previous care, long term and short term issues, and what treatments I’ve found have worked best for me. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and spoke like a ‘salt of the earth’ type of man. He didn’t waste my time or patronize me in the least and I genuinely felt like he had my best interests in mind rather than just collecting a new client with a monthly subscription.
He worked while he spoke and gave me quite a few tips to assist my recovery while at home. He did suggest I return once a week for two months to ensure the continued health of my back. Since he did help relieve some of my discomfort almost immediately, I decided to agree to his plan on good faith. As I said, while professional, he was also came across as a very authentic human being, treating me like a long lost buddy he was happy to bump into. And while I enjoy the professional aspect of doctors visits, I also love the everyday banter of getting to know someone on a personal level. This doctor satisfied both of those requirements with aplomb and ease.
Prices are what one would expect. The establishment was clean. They’re now open seven days a week, which is incredibly convenient. One small note, while they do take FSA, they do not accept insurance. That may be the only negative.
I’ll try and remember to update this review once my initial eight weeks are over. But as far as first impressions, The Joint knocked it out of the park.

I have been going to The Joint for years, and as Ive before more of a traveling nurse I’ve been hotel hopping; traveling by car, plane, and trains. Dr Joe, immediately assessed that my pain and constant headache was coming from my upper shoulders and neck. He adjusted me as usual , but suggested using the Y-Strap technique to help allow for the separation between each vertebrae and take off the pressure I’ve built.

For the past couple of years I've dealt with painful tension headaches that alleviate from my shoulders to my neck and head. There were days the pain is unbearble that it would be diffcult to focus at work. I have been going to The Joint for the past year and since then I've had less tension headaches. These boys know what they are doing, I use their service as part of my selfcare 3 to 4 adjustments per month. It help with stiffness in the body and tight muscles from weight training. Being honest, and I’m ? honest on all my reviews. Came in this afternoon at1pm on 11/30/22. My 65lbs. F1 Golden Doodle Chewbacca gave me a welcome home doodle hug yesterday from school. And threw my back out and I kept my eye on this place when it opened this year 2022 since it’s down the block from my home and I told myself I will come and check it out if I need adjustments here. Which I was able to come in as a “walk-in” and no appointments y’all!! They caught me at that one, and first time patients here and felt so warm and loving here. The vibes were amazing. Dr. Jo was my attending chiropractor and I didn’t have to tell him a word he knew what to do. My other 3 chiropractors here in Salinas, Ca where my insurance sent me too were all a joke. No chop shop here you’re in and out with perfect service and coming out good as new. They’re open Monday-Sunday’s and OMG they only do walk-in’s. They don’t take insurance but I don’t care I’ll pay them whatever they charge for this perfect service I received as a patient in major pain today. I’ll be back tomorrow for my second appointment. Thank you for coming to Salinas, Ca. We genuinely need amazing chiropractor who knows what he’s doing and is new school and not old school like the others I seen with my insurance. Thanks again, I am able to close my suv trunk without crying now.

Great experience from start to finish. I came in randomly (had never visited any of The Joint locations previously) experiencing severe lower back pain. I came at a good time and did not end up having to wait at all. The treatment was far better than basic - Dr. Joe used a theragun to loosen my muscles before the adjustment. Before I went in, I couldn’t even put my shoes on this morning (I’m only 28 years old) because I had hurt my back so bad. After leaving the pain is reduced and less sharp, they set me up with a wellness plan to come back for continued care.
It’s also worth noting I called many clinics in Monterey who wanted to charge 2-3x as much for the first visit, and wouldn’t guarantee and adjustment on the first exam. All in all, I highly recommend Dr. Joe and The Joint. Desiree at the front desk was so kind and helpful as well! Thank you!!

So, I have been going to think office for many months and I must say, from the first day the service has been stellar. The team is willing to work with you based upon your availability and what sort of plan you want. In the past few months, they have expanded their staff to allow for faster service. They know me by name and always are very helpful. Dr. Joe and Dr. Anthony have their own particular techniques that help to get that knot out of my back. But, I always leave their table feeling 1000x better. Dr. Joe is very funny and not bad to look at either. Hahaha, overall I would say that if you are an athlete, military member or just a plain Jim or Jane you should definitely consider coming to this office. I swear I've grown about an inch since getting adjusted here. They will take great care of you.

UPDATE MARCH 2026
This clinic is refusing to refund almost $4000 taken without authorization. The last time I recieved services here was July 2022. I decided to purchase what was misrepresented to us as 4 visits for $89. I made it clear I wasn't interested in a commitment.. My review from July 2022 below further supports my claim. Having been assured by staff this was 4 visits only, my parents decided to pay the $89 fee as a bday gift. The Joint continued charging their debit card $88/ month,. The Joint did not email any receipts, reminders, or renewls- a violation of the EFT act. We contacted the clinic immediately after discovering the charges. Staff at the clinc were unable to locate an account in their database. A legitimate account would have been in their database since the beginning. We were repeatedly told memberships could only be canceled in person. In person, staff still could not locate an account & directed us to corporate- how does a clinic charge an account for 44 months but cant find them in their own database? They continued charging even after the card was replaced in 2024. I left a detailed message, corporate never responded.After phone calls and in person failed to find an account for almost 3 weeks& after leaving a message with corporate,i called the clinic again & like magic, staff instantly found my account (after they charged $89 that same morning) . My account was canceled by phone contradicting their own policy. A copy of the contract and of the cancellation were emailed to me immediately. The cancellation contained falsified info . This is not a matter of a failure to cancel a membership that was never knowingly established this is a matter of the Joint taking money from a person who never signed a contract, never authorized.. The Joint uses a pattern of deceptive business practices, misrepresentation & falsification designed to take advantage of clients. I filed a complaint with the BBB, the Joint refused to reply so I filed a complaint with the FTC ,DoJ & completed documents to go to small claims court.

Why I came here —
Over the past few years I Ive experienced a progressive hunching of the back as well as decreased upper body mobility ( I believe this is due mainly to the ridiculous amount of hours spent daily standing with neck & head facing down while using my mobile device and/or laptop, a condition more and more people are experiencing ). This is not something that happens overnight so I knew not to expect an overnight cure. . Medical insurance is not accepted here but fortunately the cost is low and affordable . My first visit cost $29 - included consultation & initial exam plus adjustment. My visit was pain free with a couple of seconds of mild discomfort - I walked out noticeably feeling less stiffness on the shoulders and neck, resulting in a less “slouched” appearance - remember, this is only my first visit. extremely satisfied overall, I went ahead and paid for services for a month ( 4 visits for $89) . Don’t wait until you start feeling pain to seek medical help. Pay attention to any early signs you notice and get help early on. I highly recommend The Joint, Dr. Joe and his staff ..

After having my baby and losing my health care coverage I’m glad I found this location. My continuous care has helped me relive my lower back/tail bone pain. So glad this location opened up. I work in Monterey and had to drive all the way to San Jose for the next closest office. The location is so convenient and it doesn’t hurt that it is right next to a Safeway, so I can get grocery shopping done right after!
