Better Health Is Not All Roses but May Be Cloves

By Tom Herrin

Foods and exercise are pretty important when it comes to something that can help promote good health.  Cutting out the bad things and being ever diligent in striving to find the right recipe for building the healthiest package can be a good plan.  A lot of people think primarily of foods, but herbs can also have an impact on their health. One of the oldest herbs used for health is garlic. Many people have used it for years and have a solid belief in its properties.  Even though it has a reputation for a somewhat strong odor, that does not have to be the case. There are several ways to consume it without dealing with the odor.

It May Be Good for the Liver

Many people have problems with fatty liver disease.  It is a common issue brought on by alcohol or excessive abdominal fat, which may be combined with metabolic dysfunction.  As well, Garlic is apparently effective in dealing with non-alcoholic liver disease. It can help the liver to resume a normal function.

It May Help Prevent Some Neurological Problems

As people live longer, the instance of issues involving the brain are increasingly common.  Many of these seem to have some connection to inflammation in the brain. This may result in an accumulation of proteins, which may damage some neurons.  Garlic has some antioxidant properties that may help alleviate this situation. Garlic also has shown some ability to help lower blood pressure and cholesterol.  This combination seems to be a good support for healthier mental function. So many times, people suffer problems due to clogged blood vessels.

It May Boost Immunities

A lot of people have used garlic for years as a means of preventing disease.  It appears to be able to fight some bacteria. It also seems to have some properties that can deter viruses.  We use it as much as possible. It adds a distinct flavor to foods as well as promoting health. If you are afraid of the odor, garlic is available in odorless supplements.  When adding something such as this can yield good results, it is well worth considering adding it to your diet. Give it a try, and you are likely to see some of the benefits in reasonably short order.  It doesn’t take a tremendous amount but just a regular addition to the menu.
