I left a stellar review for Dr. Kamsi when I first started as a patient, but now I need to leave one for Dr. Sharon Brown as well. Her adjustments are just as spectacular and I always leave feeling LIT UP. Her bedside manner is MORE THAN PHENOMENAL. I’ve come in stressed, in pain, and on one particular occasion not very friendly, and she diffused it completely with her effortless empathy and took incredible care of me. While I have sadly been very unimpressed with other Joint locations while on vacation, I don’t care what day of the week it is here because I know that I am in the best hands both with Dr. Brown and Dr. Kamsi. Could not recommend this Joint location with anymore enthusiasm.

Let me just say, Dr. Alex has turned San Marcos clinic around to be the best in Southern California, in my opinion. I have found 4 favorites in the San Diego county area but I would always go to San Marcos clinic over any other because he adjusts specifically to my needs. He helped get my neck and upper back out of pain. Incredible!!! The best part, he massage and stretch you before adjusting if you’re really tight. I came in because a rib went out. I had a hard time breathing, bending, and reaching. It was very painful! I called the office to see if I could get an immediate appointment. The receptionist was very helpful and professional. I was able to drive right over, fill out paperwork, and then the doctor came out to greet me. Dr. Kamsi was very welcoming and put me at ease. I have only been to a chiropractor a few times and I was feeling a bit nervous. He was very gentle and explained (without me asking) everything he was doing, in a way I could understand. He answered all of my questions clearly and patiently. I left feeling so much better!!! As the day progressed, I felt better and better. I will definitely be returning! Thank you Dr. Kamsi!!

I've been to a couple Chiropractic doctors at the joint but its always Dr. Sharon Browns adjustments that bring me immediate relief. Recently I went in due to sciatic pain. I had been dealing with it for two weeks. I was hoping the pain would eventually resolve itself as it has in the past but this time it did not. ⭐☆☆☆☆ Unsafe chiropractic adjustment — pain, visible asymmetry, and poor procedure I came in with mild shoulder discomfort, but after the adjustment my condition got significantly worse. The chiropractor worked very quickly and performed several forceful manipulations on my neck and shoulder without any warm-up, assessment, or instruction to breathe in or out. There was no explanation of what would be done or request for consent before these manipulations. Within an hour after the visit, I developed sharp pain and a strong feeling that my right shoulder and collarbone were out of place. A bone near my chest became visibly protruded — something that definitely wasn’t there before. I also started to feel tightness in my chest and pain spreading to my neck and even my ear. I spent the entire night in pain and had to go to urgent care the next day. The practitioner there confirmed that such complications can happen after chiropractic manipulation and ordered an X-ray, which is now pending. The whole session lasted around 15 minutes and felt extremely mechanical — no real evaluation or gentle preparation, just quick cracking and done. It felt careless and unsafe. If you consider going to The Joint Chiropractic, please be very cautious. Make sure your provider takes the time to properly assess your condition, explain each step, and prepare your body before making any adjustments. My experience was painful, unprofessional, and left me worse than before.

The Chiropractor, Dr. Brown, was incredible! Maybe one of my best chiropractic experiences I’ve ever had and I’ve gone to chiropractors for about 30 years. I would have given The Joint in San Marcos, five stars, but the receptionist was one of the rudest and most uncaring person in a healthcare setting, I’ve ever experienced. My husband and I were the first ones in the office. My husband’s pain was at a “10” and she let two people go before us, that arrived about 10 minutes after us, making us wait an hour, and the other patients were walk-ins also and weren’t in any pain. One of the other patients offered to let my husband go before her, as he could barely stand or walk, but the receptionist treated us like we were attention seeking and dramatic, while my husband had the most painful morning of his life. Someone like her should not be in healthcare settings or in any customer service position. I would hire someone else right away, as she does not care about your patients.

I injured my back a few months ago and finally decided it was time to see a chiropractor. Dr.Brown took great care of me and the adjustment has relieved my pain instantly. I do plan on coming back frequently as she did a great job and helped show me the proper stretches for my hyper mobility and the correct footwear for my work as well. I have been a patient of DR Brown for awhile now and she is ABSOLUTELY the best! She always takes the time to listen and responds accordingly. She has helped me through 2 frozen shoulders. I’m not sure if I’m just calling at a bad time? I have called this location twice and each time it’s always been a horrible interaction with the receptionist. Both times seem to be with the same person & I can never get her name because she just mumbles when she picks up the phone. The first time I called I asked about any insurances they may take to which she rudely responded by putting me down in a way for even asking that question. She seemed offended that I even asked her the question. The second time around I tried to call at a different time so I could avoid her but I wasn’t able to. Called about getting started with treatment and adjustments despite the horrible experience I had prior with her. She sounded very bothered by the fact that I would even dare to ask if there were any available appointment times for the following week. She was extremely short, passive aggressive, and cold with me for the entirety of our conversation.

Came in around 1:25 on the 20th of January the lady up front was pleasant and awesome. The older doctor there. Not so much. He said come on back. When I got back there he goes face down. Didn’t even ask what was going on. He attempted to adjust my lower back and my neck. Instead of having me breathe in and exhale the adjust he just went full throttle without any warning. I’ve done this a few times but dang give someone a moment to adjust to what you’re trying to do. Took about 2 minutes to get me in and out and he goes how’s that feel? I didn’t bother to tell him I still was uncomfortable but he obviously didn’t want to work so why bother. Right? Sir if you don’t want to be at work then don’t be. But don’t act rude and inconvenienced to people who are paying your bills by how much we pay to come see y’all.

Usually excellent and very quick, but every once in a while I get a chiropractor that refuses to pull my leg, and can’t do the other fix that pulls my hip back into place. My lower back still hurts today and the girl couldn’t do any more

While the adjustments I’ve received have been good. The hours of operation have been difficult at the San Marcos location. I’ve gotten there in the morning when they are supposed to be open and no one is there. And I have tried to go before the lunch rush only to see a sign on the door that they are closed for the day. The reason I purchased the membership was for the convenience of this specific location and it has been disappointing.

I had been receiving excellent care at this particular location, the year prior. After a recent strain, I went for an adjustment and an older gentleman, attempted to adjust my back. He looked like his back was hurt and he could not stand up straight. He appeared to be weak and could not put much weight on my body, instead he leaned into my shoulder blade injuring me in the process. I was in pain for several days after. I was then charged $50 for the service. I called to complain and request a refund or to set up a monthly plan with the other Chiropractors I had seen the year before, no one ever returned my call or followed-up with me. Very disappointing and I would not recommend this older gentleman.

Great chiropractic work! Dr. Heins is quick, no nonsense, and adjusts me with the pressure I need. I have used several chiropractors over the years and am very happy I found one that can adjust me beautifully, charges very affordable rates, and is open late during the week to accommodate my work schedule. The monthly price plan is fantastic, and the in between visit cost is minimal (should you need more than once a week). If you want a great adjustment with affordable visits, I highly recommend Dr. Heins! You will not be disappointed. Your health is everything, and having a great chiropractor is key! The staff is also very friendly, and you will be in and out within a few minutes! 5 stars all the way!

Dr Theobald is excellent! We were camping in nearby Palomar, and I really put my back and neck out. He was friendly, listened to what I thought was going on and adjusted all the spots I needed so I could get back to enjoying my family for our last night in the tent! No help and rude. I was turned away because I am moving soon and Mr Hines didn’t want to “go through the nine yards” My Back started hurting about a week ago. I’m moving across the county and sought a chiropractor to visit a couple of times before I leave next week. All I was looking for was a little help and they turned me away. He is gentle with his adjustments and he explains everything that needs to be done. I will continue to use him as my Chiropractor. Micaela, is the front desk agent. She is smart and detailed oriented. I needed two receipts for my FSA card to have the transactions at Joint Chiropractic approved. Micaela went up and beyond her duties to create an acceptable receipt for FSA. She even gave me a breakdown of all of my treatments, just in case the receipt was not accepted. I was so impressed and surprised. She is a great asset to Joint Chiropractic. I hope she continues to work there. She was personable and professional when she explained everything to me. Dr. O is fabulous! I had another fabulous visit with him…the stars are due to the news I heard today…I cannot believe what’s happening to him. Your corporate manner is coming out loud and clear…all about the money and no concern for your staff OR the patients. The revolving door at San Marcos should be a concern to you. We have had to get to know three new Dr s and they all have left due to your treatment of them. I wish you would care more about your patients than the money. Does San Marcos not deserve some stability? I have been in chiropractic care for 41 years now…I wish you cared about my health and well being. Love everything about my experience at the joint. I had severe bursitis, which is a big bruise around my right knee from taking walks. The only thing my Dr. wanted to do was give me a cortisone shot. On my first Visit to the Joint they saw that my right leg was one inch shorter then the left and was the reason for the bruising. In less then one month I can walk again and sleep through the night. And I don’t have to make an appointment! just walk in anytime.

My wife and I go to Joint Chiropractic, San Marcos, every week for maintenance adjustments. We see Dr. Oku and he is excellent. He takes his time and addresses our needs in a gentle but effective manner. I have used Chiropractic care for many years and Dr. Oku is one of the best I have encountered. The receptionist was very nice but the doctor himself was rude and short with me. The woman on the phone said my appointment would be about 20-30 minutes, but the doctor only spent 5 minutes with me. He asked me some questions and then only did a few things on my back. When he was done I asked him what I could do to improve my neck and back pain and he said I have too many crutches in my life (like icing my back when I’m in pain) and that I really need to focus on stretching more (even though I told him I’ve been stretching about 3 times a day). He also basically said I was too fat and that he doubted I would put in the work to change. I understand that weight can be a factor in back pain but there are more helpful ways to bring it up. My back did feel slightly better when he was done but his terrible attitude made it an overall bad experience. I have no plans to go back.

I have had only positive experiences here in San Marcos! I have not had to wait more than 20 minutes during busy times and consistently am in to see the doctor in much less time than that. I purposely avoid busiest times, so this may vary at peak hours—in my experience though it is efficient and thorough at the same time. The team here in San Marcos has consistently been willing to answer my questions and give feedback to help me manage my care outside of chiropractic sessions. I also really appreciate that any and all staff members that I’ve interacted with have been friendly and helpful, even with minor questions. I would definitely recommend the joint if you are new to seeing a chiropractor or if you’re looking for one!

I don’t use The Joint on a regular basis, only when I’m having back and neck issues. Then I will usually go three or four times and all is good. This location is close to home and I like the chiropractor there. It’s easy it does the job and it’s quick.

I needed one day to write this post as I was too upset to post one day this incident occurred. I have been a Joint customer for several years. This post is about Dr. Hines. He’s always been pleasant and professional until yesterday, Friday, 4/24. I came late in the day, around 6 pm. As I approached the back room, we greeted one another, and he asked if I had any areas that he should treat. I told him then I asked him, “do I lay facing up or down.” He said down & began to question me. “Do you need a GPS to get here?” I didn’t understand the question and I said “what?” then he repeated the question again. I then answered no. He began to school me. He then said that since I’ve been there many times, I should know by now on what to do. I replied, “well, You & the other Dr.(who works the weekends) work differently as she requests that I face up. He then walks over to the computer and checks my record & tells me, “the last time you saw her was a month ago.” I couldn’t believe what was happening. At this point, I was so confused I didn’t even know what to do and I couldn’t follow him. At this particular moment, I turned and looked at him and asked, “are you having a bad day?” He responds, “No,I’m not; I’ve had a long day!” and repeats it several times. You can imagine what the energy was like between us back there. In hindsight, I should have walked away from him, but my lower back was aching and I needed this adjustment. Is he good at his profession? Yes. He knows his stuff; but he needs to work on his bedside manners and not take his frustration and unhappiness on his customers.Thankfully, the front desk representative was there to hear and witness the confrontation. Will I return to him? NO. He made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I may have to cancel service because my go-to Dr (weekend) is no longer there. Who knew one question could trigger someone to spiral down the black hole? ??‍♀️

Dr. Hines in the San Marcos Ca. branch is the best. He is will to listen and educate you about your body and provides stretching videos from Joint. I started going back after spending years not being adjusted. At work I spend all day over a computer so headaches and low back pain started to become common. It's been about 2 months since my first visit and I'm feeling 100% better. FYI, spin maintenence is a must for better circulation and skeletal movement. I have recommended the San Marcos branch to my friends at work and would recommended him to all my family and friends. Great job!

Dr. Sorensen is simply the best. I've been regularly going to his office to get adjusted for the past year. He's helped me relieve the constant discomfort in my back and neck but also helped fix different injuries in my wrists, hips, knees, and ankles. He's also given me good direction in how to maintain the gains that I've made between appointment through stretching and foam rolling. WORTH THE DRIVE! I signed up at the oceanside location since they are close to my home, but after seeing 3 different chiropractors, I wasn't happy with any of them. My sister recommended I try the San Marcos location, and boy am I glad I did! Dr. Hines is amazing!! He was able to pinpoint all my problem areas without my having to tell him and provided an amazing adjustment. This is my new go to spot. Dr. Hines is the absolute best; he's very communicative and open about the treatment you're receiving. The genuine care and professionalism I get from my visits with him is always stellar. Also, he's probably the nicest person I've ever met! I've only had one experience with the other doctor at this location, Dr. Nazer, but I found her to be professional and effective! There have been a variety of front desk staff present while I've been visiting, and they've all been very nice and helpful. I can't recommend this place enough. In terms of my care, I've been feeling better physically than I have in years, I have a greater range of motion, and I experience less and less pain as I go on!

Called to get info to come in for app't Got appl. & filled out before going there to find out they don't treat anyone who is Medicare eligible ! Don't know why & got the vaguest non explanation I've ever heard SAY SO TO ANYONE CALLING IN AND STATE SO ON THE MED. INFO FORM ! As the form breaks down treatments Medicare covers & Not leading anyone to assume all accepted for treatment there I sought to just Pay and not bill Medicare for Maintenance treatment - this is clearly Understood Anyway I just wasted time, trip & hassle for misinformation & it would make me very Suspicious as to why they are doing this & are So wary of working on anyone who is Medicare eligible ! Think there must have been some Medicare sanction against them

This chiropractor office is the best.Deborah is so sweet and does a great job at the front desk.dr Hines makes you feel so comfortable and always makes me feel better after I visit him. I went in their office because my friend Brandi referred me and said he helped her walk again. She couldn’t walk for weeks and started to see him and get better real soon so I gave it a shot. I was in the exact situation my back went out from riding my dirt bike and I couldn’t even walk or do anything so she told me to go see dr. Hines and I did. My back felt better after the first 2 visits and I’m still seeing him now. This place is also so affordable. I highly recommend the joint in San Marcos and keep going back. Wow wow wow! All I can say is Wow! This office and especially Dr. Hines is beyond the best chiropractor I’ve ever been to in the last 7 years I’ve been looking around. He’s been adjusting me for the past 18 months and i will say, my migraines are completely gone, my body feels better, and I can always count on an amazing appointment. His level of professionalism, positive attitude, and attention to detail on certain spots is what makes me as a client go out of my way to see him. I use to live 45 minutes away, and I would drive all the way to this office when another location was 5 minutes from me. The front desk always greeted you and cares about you as friends/family then just a doctors office. I would never go anywhere else but Dr Hines and Debbie! Thank you for always putting a smile on my face and giving me such a wonderful experience 2 times a week for 18 months and even more!

The lady with the fake English accent is the worst I used to pay for the monthly treatment but every time I came she took for ever to even get to the point of check in. I signed up for a 6 package deal the next time since I am Leary about the service most the time I stop in I’m in a rush or going between jobs with limited time. Today she was babbling on with another lady about non-work related issues hair nails etc. I walked up to the counter so do I need to check in she told me to have a seat the meantime sheep blabs for 10 more minutes and another customer comes in we have the scan card scanned it and the doctor came out immediately and took them to the back she doesn’t even look up to acknowledge that she still hasn’t checked in and just keeps her face buried in her computer again this lady was the reason I canceled my yearly service originally and have been leery about coming back to the joint because of it the doctors have always done good work and help with any issues but this lady is the weakest link.

San Marcos The Joint is awesome!! Dr. Sorenson is able to get my adjustment right every time, which is great because I’m a bigger guy. I find other chiropractors have a hard time adjusting me & don’t get it right. When I walk through the door in San Marcos Liana always greets me with a friendly hello, and is always very helpful at the front desk. I know I’m going to feel like new walking out after the adjustment.

Went in and didn't get worked on. The chiropractor told me he couldn't give me a note and I said okay thank you and walked out. They took that as a session and charged me anyway. I went in for an adjustment and was told I needed to pay $80(theres no way they would'velet me leave without paying). I wouldve fought it but I have had so much trouble with this particular branch. They even stayed there for what felt like 20 minutes badgering me about getting a subscription. I was only given 3 out 6 for 180 before... I'd rather not have to deal with it and just do walk ins...but they were very very very insistent....I still said no

Got useful in first appointment but after that it is not going much relief for me. Except first day, all services were so quick like just do 2 or 3 steps and done. Not sure, if that is expected or should use chiropractic tools to give some relief from pain.

I called and told them I was in a lot of pain and was a new patient they told me to get there at a certain time and that I would be seen. I got their filled out the paperwork and and the receptionist told me the doctor could not see me because it was close to the time where he was going to have a lot of patients come in, I started crying because I was in so much pain and all they could say is ,when can we schedule you to come back. Horrible experience will never try the Joint Chiropractic ever again.

Went in on Saturday as a walk in. Filled out paper work saw Dr got Son adjusted and we were out. The adjustment was very different from others we have gotten before. Dr took her time and made sure my Son was well taken care of. I decided to buy a package for him especially because the price was very reasonable. With the 5 star treatment and price who wouldn't want to go back. Thank You for making my baby feel better.

After a week of back pain I finally decided to get something done about it. The Joint was very close and although it had been a while since I have seen a Chiropractor, they quickly explained how their program works. Price is hard to beat for treatment over a few weeks and Dr. Hines was very friendly while giving me my ‘adjustments’, explaining as he goes. Felt so much better after the initial visit and am very pleased with the results 3 weeks in. Highly recommended.
