Getting Excited for Exercise

It's easy to stay excited about your fitness routine when you have a gym full of amenities to take advantage of, but if you have been trying to exercise at home, just a little bit of boredom with your workouts is all it takes to kill any amount of motivation and commitment you had. Yes, you have lifted weights in your garage, swam laps in your pool, and climbed your stairs repeatedly throughout your days, but you still haven't found what it is that will excite you. You need something different but you just don't know what. Well, you're in luck! Here are some different ways you can exercise at home that may be just enough to get some of that excitement back.

Coffee Walk

If you are looking for a low-impact exercise and are missing the social aspect of your old classes at the gym, why not meet some friends at your local coffee shop? Only this isn't for a sit-down chat. Grab your coffees, make sure your shoes are laced up, and head out for a walk! It's a great way to see some new sights and catch up with friends while getting those extra steps in!

Frisbee Golf

Whether you do this alone or with friends, Frisbee golf can turn into a serious workout depending on how many holes you want to play! Just be sure to give your body (and your throwing arm) a good stretch before you start because you may be using muscles you haven't used in a while!

Kayaking

Another workout that can be as difficult as you make it, is kayaking. Kayaking is a great way to work out your upper body, but it can be more exhausting than you think so make sure you take all the necessary safety precautions before you hit the water.

Paintball

Are you the type of person that loves action-packed adventure and a little bit of bruising? If so, paintball is for you! There is nothing like the excitement you feel when getting chased through the woods by friends pointing guns in your direction ... paintball guns, that is. And imagine the workout you will get from all the running, crawling, and dodging you do during each session. It's a good time to be had by all!
