Dr. Hayden Richardson became part of The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2021 when he began serving residents in suburban Marietta; he joined the Dunwoody clinic location in 2022, where he continues doing the work he finds so rewarding.

“The best thing about being in the chiropractic field is educating people on holistic healthcare and assisting them through their healing journey physically and emotionally because they are, indeed, one and the same,” he says. “I feel this way because I live by the notion that ‘finding your roots” -- the root cause of how to truly heal -- rather than just recover. I love helping people progress from acute and chronic pain, sometimes in which patients have been to many other practitioners with different fields with no long-lasting relief.”

A product of Davidson, N.C., Dr. Richardson considers himself a “body mechanic responsible for finding the root cause of bodily dysfunction.” He worked previously in Decatur, Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Roswell, Buckhead, Brookhaven, and Sandy Springs.

Married with a couple of wooly Siberian huskies named Kin and Skye, Dr. Richardson enjoys spending time with them outdoors. But in his alone time, he likes weightlifting and functional movement exercise.

He earned his doctorate from Life University in Marietta after getting a degree in strength and conditioning from Appalachian State.

“My very first adjustment was on my wife on a very stressful day early in the program when I was seriously debating quitting the program,” Dr. Richardson says. “I got a call from my wife, who had sneezed and was laying face down on the floor and couldn’t get up. I was only in science classes and had zero adjusting knowledge. I called an upper quarter friend who wasn’t able to come help, but the options were to take her to the ER or handle it myself. He walked me through the contact vectors on the phone and I felt I had enough knowledge of human anatomy to deliver the adjustment. My wife went from stuck face down on the floor with potential ER-status pain to walking around within five minutes. At that point I knew I was in the right place and could not give up on future patients that would cross my path for further answers or palliative relief.”

If Dr. Richardson could invite any four people from history to dinner, he would include his favorite actor, Heath Ledger, successful health entrepreneur Ben Greefield, developer of chiropractic BJ Palmer, and Native-American chief Sitting Bull. “I have immense respect for the Native Americans and a love of all things living/spiritual,” he says.

The doctor says one of the most influential books he has read is The Body Electric by Robert O. Becker. “It’s an eye-opening book on the electrical basis of all life and how it applies to the body and overall well-being of the individual and, ultimately, as a species,” he says.

If he were to write his own autobiography, Dr. Richardson says he would call it Find Your Roots. “This is my motto as it applies to all aspects of life on the macro/micro level,” he says. “Searching for the root cause of all of life’s stressors, whether emotional or physical, yields long-lasting results through truths that are revealed, but only to those who relentlessly seek.”

Awful customer service. I used to visit this location for over a year and the customer service was never great but the doctors were pretty good so I kept going. Most of the times the older lady at the front desk wouldn’t even speak and when she did she had an attitude. I moved jobs so I am not longer close to the Alpharetta location. My payment was due so I paid at the new location in Atlanta. The Alpharetta store has still been trying to charge me even though I paid. Thankfully I have been keeping that card locked. When I called them they said it’s nothing they can do and didn’t even seem to care. Way to treat your customers. I am extremely disappointed in how this situation has been handled.

I recently had a challenging and negative administrative issue at Joint Chiropractic, more specifically, the Roswell, Georgia, location. Details are not necessary, especially the cumbersome protocol for resolution. I made a visit to the Alpharetta location for assistance to bring the matter to an end. Fortunately for them and me, the Alpharetta location employs a young lady by the name of Mecca with the knowledge and demeanor to effectively communicate and defuse a customer service matter, as their in-house processes are put into motion. Once my situation is addressed and rightfully resolved, this review will be modified to a 5, and the reason will be Mecca. Before I retired from Corporate America, I only hired "A" candidates. I would have immediately made her an employment offer if I had the opportunity.

Years of Loyalty, No Accountability!!! It’s disappointing to have to write this review because we truly had a great experience with The Joint Chiropractic for many years while living in Georgia. We have been loyal members for over six years, and like previous years, the Alpharetta–Windward clinic contacted us directly about renewing our memberships for 2026 and paying for the year in advance. Based on the trust and positive experiences we had over the years, we renewed in good faith expecting the same level of service and consistency we had always received. Unfortunately, after relocating to Florida, the experience completely changed. We dealt with constant provider turnover, office closures, scheduling disruptions, cancellations, and ongoing inconsistency between the Florida clinics we visit. The doctors we regularly saw were either terminated or constantly moved between locations without proper communication to patients. What has been most disappointing is the lack of urgency, accountability, and customer care when trying to resolve these concerns. Since our memberships were renewed directly through the Alpharetta–Windward clinic, we expected them to assist with and honor the cancellation request rather than repeatedly directing us back to the Florida clinics. Once corporate advised us that cancellations are handled through the clinic where the memberships were renewed, the response we received became noticeably dismissive and unhelpful. Instead of working toward a resolution for long-time loyal members, we were repeatedly made to feel as though the situation was simply “Florida’s problem” despite the Alpharetta clinic processing and benefiting from our renewal payments. It’s unfortunate because our positive experience in Georgia is what kept us loyal customers for so long. However, the overall handling of this situation has left us extremely disappointed, and we will not be renewing our memberships going forward. UPDATE AFTER BUSINESS RESPONSE!!! To Whom It May Concern, I posted a Google review yesterday using the link provided to me by Valerie at the Alpharetta, GA clinic. To date, no one from this clinic has personally called or emailed me in an effort to resolve this matter. However, now that a public review has been posted, I am suddenly being told to contact the clinic so the issue can be addressed. For the past three weeks, I have been speaking directly with Valerie regarding this situation and have yet to receive a single call from the franchise owner or anyone in management. This raises a fair question: if you already have all of my membership information on file, why has no one proactively contacted me directly? Why wait until a public review is posted to appear interested in resolving the issue? What is even more concerning is that the public response posted to my review directly contradicts what Valerie repeatedly explained to me during our numerous phone conversations — specifically, that this situation was “not their problem” and had to be handled by the Florida District Manager. Yet your public Google response clearly states: “To keep plan administration consistent across locations, cancellations and account changes must be processed through the primary clinic where the Wellness Plan was originally enrolled and in accordance with the written agreement.” This statement completely contradicts what Valerie at the Alpharetta clinic communicated to me multiple times. As a long-term client/patient, I would have expected a direct phone call and genuine effort to address this matter privately — not a public response written only after a negative review was posted!!!

This is a worst place . nobody here is trained to do any job. Not only that I was charged 79$ for six months where as I visited just 4 times and in total I paid around 420$. They also don't have option to cancel online, you need to go to the store to cancel. No one said that is a recursive charge. This is a SCAM SCAM SCAM. Please avoid so you can save your health and bank accounts

I would highly recommend Dr. Andrew Addess at the Alpharetta location. Amazing personality very relaxed. Make sure you are relax. Give an amazing service every time I have seen him always have kind words. They have been great. This is the first chiropractor I have been to, and they did a great job of explaining everything on my first visit. Karen is amazing. She healed me. I have suffered from migraines for 20+ years. I came in one night in lieu of my second visit in a row to the emergency room to help relieve my headache. Since seeing her two months ago, I have not had one migraine. The ladies at the front desk are so friendly and helpful. Also, Dr. Z has been our family chiropractor for many years. We love him so much! I would definitely recommend this chiropractic place to any and everyone!

I was looking for a chiropractor close to home and on the affordable side that offered walk in availability- that’s a long list. But, the joint checked all those boxes and they are open 7 days a week. The office is very nice and clean. The chiropractor was friendly and helpful and she did a great job helping me with my neck issues. I love that they have a monthly plan option and the pricing is very reasonable. I enjoyed chatting with the front desk associate, Valerie. It will be a nice place to accomplish my goals and keep my spine in good shape.

After being a regular client for 3 years I am overly disappointed with this practice. I had fraud on my account preventing my monthly dues to come out. While I’m trying to get that situation straightened out, I asked to just be charged for the one visit so I could be seen. I have been traveling, my body and my mind are stressed and I have had a tension headache from my neck for 2 days. 3 years and I get told there’s nothing they can do for me. Dr. Amanda and Dr. Z are two of the best chiropractors you can find in the Alpharetta area. They are highly professional and truly listen to your needs. After a long day at work, I came into their office unable to fully explain what was bothering me. I did my best to explain, but I was worried Dr. Amanda might not fully understand my concerns (and I wouldn’t blame her, as my explanation wasn’t the clearest). However, she immediately and enthusiastically reassured me, saying, “I got you.” I laid down, and the rest was history. The session was incredible! Every bone in my back that needed to be adjusted popped, and all the annoying tension in my neck disappeared. My “tech neck” swelling was gone, and I could feel the blood flow returning. I instantly felt relief and was in a much better mood. Don’t hesitate to go in, ask questions, or book a session. The doctors in this office are amazing and professional. I would highly recommend them – 10/10!

Im not sure if it's because of appearing to be disabled but I'm getting seriously close to cancelling my Joint membership due to the way I've now been treated at 2 different locations. If you aren't going to see people until 5 pm please save people who think they might be able to be seen ..I've been a member of the joint for 9 years and I'm seriously considering an ADA complaint. Needless to say I won't be returning to this location

Love that I don't have to make an appt. I can just go when I feel the need. The drs leave notes so you can see anyone to get adjusted. I get severe headaches and not all of them can get relief for me. My neck is super temperamental and pops out easily

I visited this location from out of town and was worried about making the drive home. Dr. Helina was diligent in her efforts to ease some of my pain using several techniques, and she told me several things to help once I got home. This is a great place specially in Alpharetta Winward Parkway. The doctors here are very nice, there are a couple regular ones. Receptionist was rude & inefficient. Responding to the reply from the joint below: As I explained to the receptionist (who did not listen) there was an FSA account attached that needed to be updated. The issue was in how the receptionist rudely & inefficiently (inefficient customer service skills) handled the situation not the time it took to solve. In addition, placing confidential information about a customers account in your reply to passively aggressively attempt to shift blame, is a sorry move as a business. Won’t be returning. But Complete Family Healthcare is an exceptional practice with 5 star reviews (where I chose to pay more for great service) that will continue to get my business.

I am from out of town and was experiencing neck pain. Per the recommendation of a friend, I visited this location twice in two days in hopes of receiving a new customer consultation. The first time was within business operating hours (an hour before close). With it being Father's Day, I understood the Dr. wanting to head home on time. The receptionist however was rather uninviting and lacked warmth. She handed me a form and told me to fill out the highlighted sections and come back tomorrow. The next day I came back with the form filled out. A different receptionist this time told me that I needed an appointment and that they were too busy with two people currently getting an adjustment. This receptionist was even more unfriendly and uninviting than the one for the previous day. After critiquing that I didn't event fill out the entire form, despite doing what they had instructed me the day before, I decided that I would not be providing this location any further business.

This place is super shady and unethical. They stole over $1,000 from us and continued taking money out of our account even after we canceled. I have the cancelation paperwork and they have refused to refund all the money they’ve illegally taken out. They tried to offer “free” services instead. Are you kidding? Do you think I’m going to let someone crack my spine when you hve shown you are already unethical/not to be trusted? Out of your minds. This is theft and we will be responding accordingly. Edit: they’re reply is a shame…they only refunded a very small amount of the full amount they took out. Will not honor advertised and posted $29 new patient price if an unknown number of people already claimed one that day. Looks like new customers should only come in the morning? --- Resp to Owner Resp: Though polite, this 'Owner response' is false. (1) My first attempted visit, my photo, and my review occurred on December 11, 2022. I left without service. (2) I returned on the morning of December 14, 2022, began my membership, and was only charged $29. (3) On my December 11 visit, I was told, 'all the new patient slots were claimed for that day' by the front desk employee. After the disappointing December 11 experience, however, the actual adjustment service was excellent and well worth the money - even the $45 per visit charge on my second visit. Keep in mind that an entire visit can take as little as 5 minutes but you will feel a big difference - especially with neck pain. However, prepare yourself for some sales pressure with the Joint's service plans. Your chiropractor will also participate in the marketing during your adjustment. My daughter and I started coming to The Joint about a year ago after we were in a fender bender that left us with sore backs and necks. The chiropractors and staff -especially Valerie - were and are amazing - professional, helpful, and fully engaged in our treatment and overall health. I am very athletic - I teach tennis and run/peloton almost everyday, and I am convinced that the work all the doctors have done has kept me limber and pain-free. Dr. Jarry is who I usually see, and he is top notch. Dr. Wise and Dr.Z are terrific too! My wife who had never before seen a chiropractor injured her shoulder and saw Dr. Jarry. Two things.. 1.service is ok, at first visit you get good attention, later session will be a quick wrap 2. BE CAREFUL..while you enroll make sure its not an autopay enrollment for every month.. they won't refund if you don't use it.. this is the clause mentioned on the lengthy document you sign up first time..we missed noting it and I was charged for straight 4 months..1 month i used rest is gone..

The Doctors here are by far amazing. Super friendly and informative, I had a great exam and adjustment. This location is great if you can get past the wellness coordinator Valerie. With her will come plenty of underhanded remarks, whispering and very dismissive demeanor which can be quite unwelcoming. I felt very uncomfortable during my encounter with her. As a new patient, I went in looking to have e my neck adjusted after sleeping on it wrong. A woman Dr saw me and it was awkward. After 2 basic tests, she said she could help me and I should go see a neurologist. I've been seeing a chiropractor for 20 years and am familiar with the pain and process. I have not had the pleasure to see all the Chiropractors at this location but the two that I have are amazing, actually take time and ask what is the troublesome areas and make their adjustments with more than a 2-3 move routine. Very bad Management. I was charged wrongly. I did give them notice but the Operations Manager, Diane Hummer, didn't take care of paperwork and they charged me for additional month. It was very hard to reach out to her. I did go to the clinic multiple time to enquire about and I was told to write her an email. I sent her multiple emails but didn't receive any kind of response from her. Finally got a response when one of her colleague emailed her cc'ing me and the response was so unprofessional, blaming it all on me. Its clearly her fault for not giving me the paperwork to complete, + not responding to my emails. she is so unprofessional, rude with zero customer service. Management should look into this.

The Joint in Alpharetta is a fantastic and effective and efficient. The chiropractors that work there are kind hearted and very knowledgeable in there practice. Dr. Jarrey is an amazing and highly skilled physician that takes special care in treating the bone alignment as well as the muscle and nerve trigger points associated with bone alignment. His team is very professional that uses current evidence based practices. This facility is very mindful of patient safety and is abundantly cautious is maintaining the CDC guidelines for infection prevention. As a traveling bedside floor nurse in a busy cardiac unit in a hospital, I prioritize self care and wellness. I have a fairly labor intensive job and so my biggest complaint is upperback and neck. This complaint is what made me seek chiropractic care about a year ago on an assignment in Texas. I have had great relief and follow a maintenance program recommended at this time. My neck flares uptime to time and after a few visits with The Joint of Alpharetta and following the recommendation of home stretching and cool compresses, my neck is exponentially better. I will continue to visit this establishment until my assignment is completed here. I have utilized The Joint in Dallas, TX, League City, Tx, San Antonio, Tx, ORLANDO, FL, and Sanford, Florida. I am so glad that the memberships are accepted nationwide as I am on the move every few months. While every Joint I have visited give quality care, the Joint in Alpharetta, Ga has been one of the most patient centered and effective Joints that I have been a patient at. I have seen a few different chiropractors over a couple of years . Not one of them relieved me from my crippling pain that came just about every night for a few years. Dr Gerry and Dr Meyers are amazing. I am healing from years of running and have been experiencing leg issues my internal medical specialist doctor did not even know how to diagnose. My hip was out of place after driving a very long time. It was so uncomfortable. As a result, my L-5 & shoulders were also displaced. I Drove 50 minutes to see Dr Micheal because I and 3 of my family members was treated by him when he was at a different location in2017.He is very nice and a great listener, he is Amazing!!!When I knew he had moved, I followed him to this location to find out Front Desk lady was rude and Unwelcoming!!!!Too bad he was not there and I had to be treated by a Different Dr . He was quick and to the point. My Father Inlaw who is 80 wanted to explain about his pain but he told him to take his jacket and get into the adjusting table. And on our way out the lady told us it would be cheaper if we get membership, I explained how we came from far and it Wouldn’t be convenient.. she said you are going to pay the same Price if you came back again.I said it is fine we are willing to do that!!Came back 2 days later old lady still rude.. Dr didn’t wanna here the progress on pain. Got out there not wanting to comeback even though we both wanted to continue treatment . The Joint Windward/Alpharetta and Dr. Jarry are a lifesaver! I was always skeptical of chiropractors, but after a VERY bad bout of Sciatic issues lately, a co-worker suggested I go see Dr. Jarry. I was a but nervous about it, but wanted to do whatever I could to make things better - I was miserable. I walked in on my lunch hour, and the young man at reception was VERY helpful in explaining the new patient consultation, how their clinic worked (no appointments, evening hours, etc.) I saw Dr. Jarry quickly, explained my pain (which at the time was in my legs and back), and he knew immediately what was wrong. He explained my issues, why I'm having the pain, and what he would do during an adjustment to help me heal. He even wrote me an order to get some xrays at a local out patient clinic. I saw Dr. Jarry about 5-6 times in the first 2 weeks, and have since reduced my visits to only about 1/week, and he thinks I will be able to reduce to 1-2 times a month soon. He's been very informative, made sure i have felt comfortable with the adjustments, and knowledgeable about my pain. It's easy to get in, visits are fast (I've never been there more than 10 minutes with the exception of my first visit), and their rates are GREAT. The monthly payment to cover 4 treatments is very reasonable! Go see them if you're having back/neck/body pain!

I’ve had a literal pain in my backside for six months now. Since I can’t seem to find my local chiropractor, I have ignored the pain. I drove up from SWFL to ATL to visit my daughter and couldn’t take the pain any longer so on my first night in I searched for “Best Chiropractor Alpharetta” and up popped The Joint. I read the reviews and it seemed that Dr Jarry was the one to see. The next morning I stopped in. As I was walking in a couple was walking out, so I asked. “Is this place good?” I was met with a resounding “YES. And Dr Jarry is my favorite and he’s in today.” Fantastic! I went in and filled out some paperwork. While waiting, I decided to ask the other person sitting in chairs what they thought. Same answer as the couple. Awesome! My turn came and within minutes, I felt relief. Since I’d neglected my pain for so long, I decided to make multiple visits to see Dr Jarry while in Alpharetta. Hoping it would stick. Today, was my fifth in the 12 days visit. I decided when I woke up I needed “one more for the road.” Thanks Dr Jarry! I feel better than I have in months!

The Joint has been one of the highlights of my week ever since I started going. The service practice was fine as far whit the therapy..but the old lady at the front desk rush you in to sign up for 2 months offering you two extra days not letting you know you're signing for two months and i was so disappointed to let this little old lady hustle me....she got me but i deed not like the fact that she rushed me to make me sign for two extra days visit, if I sign contract...but deed not tell me it was for two months ....smh I would not go back again......you have to trick me for my money to draft money out of my account ....then when I went to back to complain she told me whit a straight face she's not going to refound me my money...I just have to come back for some more visit...i really don't need two months of visit just one was fine...I really just needed 2-3 visit and I was fine.... I've been to a few different Joints and like them all. But Windward and Dr Michael is my main. He's great, takes time to explain, very knowledgeable. Has helped cure my hip pain that I've had for 5 months. Dr Jason (in new Roswell location) is very good too. Only complaint- no privacy curtain as you get worked on- the next 2 or 3 patients are sitting there as well. Great front desk folks too- especially Valerie.

First visit here. Dr. Jarry way better than the overpriced $50 a pop insurance docs that does the same thing if not less work per visit. I had instant relief today. Gonna be sore but Dr. Jarry was gentle and knowledgeable. Definitely coming back to see him. I feel like a person here and not a patient.

I can't recommend Dr. Michael Jarry enough as he did a phenomenal job of helping me recover from excruciating back pain within a week. I have been to Chiropractor before and I know what they generally do. Dr Meyers did nothing when I went. Waste of my time and money. The joint team gave me a one time free adjustment to amend my previous experience. I went again and saw Dr. Jerry (the clinic owner) and he made me comfortable and did pretty good adjustments. I am very happy with the services. I would recommend Dr. Jerry to anyone.

Absolute happy. My left shoulder did hurt for a while. He adjusted it... you could really hear a big crush and it hurted even more right away. Literally 2 minutes later everything didn't hurt anymore, felt better, pain gone, could move my arm without any restrictions. Perfect! I can recommend this location with out any hesitation or buts. Friendly and a very good chiropractor!!! Completely satisfied.

I’ve been a member of the Joint franchise since 2011. I’ve been to many different locations around the US but none compare to this location (5530 Windward Parkway). The doctors here are Absolutely Phenomenal! They are Super attentive and exact when it comes to healing and targeting your areas of misalignment, discomfort and pain! I typically see Dr Jared..he has been a fantastic help to me. I have sciatica and arthritic degeneration in my lower spine. With his expertise in conjunction with my past trainer i am a least able to to continue my workouts on an above average level.. He is also a great help with advice for maintaining my back health through exercises and referrals for over the counter meds that could help. He is invaluable!

I'm very happy that I found Dr. Jarry with The Joint at Windward. He is very nice, helpful and always listening to my needs. I've been having a lot of pain for the past 3 years and Dr. Jarry suggested to see a primary care doctor. I'm happy I listened. Found out I have excorine pancreatic insufficiency. I never give reviews to organizations or people that I don’t feel are completely deserving of it, but Dr. Mike Jarry is. Good Chiropractors are about a dime a dozen in general and Mike happens to be one of those select few. I’m a tennis coach and luckily he has worked with many athletes; he has helped stave off more injuries than I can count. He never tries to do more than what is necessary and is also extremely personable. Even if you live 2hrs away, Mike is worth the drive.

This is my favorite Joint location. Dr. Jarry takes great care of me every time. He is thorough and takes his time during the adjustments. He gives instructions for stretches and exercises to do between adjustments which have been very helpful for me. He truly cares about his patients' well being, and has a great attitude! Dr. Jarry is an excellent chiropractor. He always customizes his treatment based on what's bothering me at the time. This has really helped me with pain issues from a neck injury and other inflammation from an auto-immune disease. He also have given me helpful stretches and exercises to help me stay out of pain. Dr. Jarry does a great job working with you to identify the sources of discomfort experienced. Not only that, but he also provides explanations for remedies at the clinic and out. He's been working with me on upper back/ shoulder mobility and gave me a great resource packet for exercises get the body back in order.
