Dr. Katelyn Welp, D.C. was born and raised in Indiana and earned her Bachelor’s in Exercise Science at Indiana State University. She then went on to attend Chiropractic school at Logan University in St. Louis Missouri and graduated in the fall of 2019. She is licensed and board certified. Upon graduating she moved to Georgia and worked under several other chiropractors as an associate until working for us here at the Joint in October of 2023.

Dr. Welp has much experience working with all ages such as babies, children and pregnant mothers to athletes and the elderly. Her approach utilizes a myriad of techniques that allow her to cater to each individual and discover the root of each issue. These may include manual Diversified, SOT, Drop Table, Activator and the approach called BioGeometric Integration.

Her favorite thing about chiropractic is its holistic lens that allows us to see and understand health on a much deeper level. In doing so we uncover the root of each persons issues and allow them to be seen as an individual rather than a number or a diagnosis.

In her spare time she enjoys lifting, trying new food, doing intramural sports like kickball and bowling and hanging with her friends.

Dr. Marie Rivera, D.C., was born and raised in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, and now lives and practices in Atlanta, Georgia. She earned her undergraduate degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Puerto Rico before going on to complete her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Life University.

Dr. Rivera began her chiropractic career with The Joint Chiropractic in Camp Creek in December 2024. She has also provided care in the Chamblee/Brookhaven area, gaining valuable experience working with diverse patient populations. She is passionate about delivering holistic, patient-centered care and values the opportunity to connect with individuals from all backgrounds.

Outside of her chiropractic work, Dr. Rivera enjoys reading, running, hiking, and spending time with friends. She is also a proud pet parent to two kittens, Mauricio and Bastet. One of her most memorable life experiences was living in Peru during the summer of 2018, where she participated in volunteer work for over a month.
