Dr. Habib Nasajpour joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2015 as a patient before joining the family in 2017 as one of its chiropractors. A graduate of University of Florida with a bachelor’s of science degree in microbiology, he received his doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Fla.
Dr. Habib says the greatest satisfaction he gets from being in the chiropractic field “is helping the community move better and working with great people.”
In his spare time, Dr. Habib enjoys staying active through cycling, running and yoga. He also enjoys concerts and traveling.
Through his experience as a doctor of chiropractic, Dr. Habib has seen many patients, many situations, and he knows he answered the call of his life based on what he’s personally seen: “Chiropractic fixes grumpy.”
He began his chiropractic career in Florida but could not be happier working in the Atlanta area, which has allowed him a chance to appreciate the window on the world he has from his office. “It’s great working at North Druid Hills learning about the diverse cultures and occupations of the patients,” he says.

Dr. Habib says the one thing he always has in his kitchen is the king of condiments, ketchup.
Certainly he would be able to discuss the merits of ketchup with chef Anthony Bourdain, one of the four people Dr. Habib would choose to have at a dinner party if he could bring together any four people from history together for a night of food and conversation. The others he would include at the table are Princess Diana, racing legend Ayrton Senna, and actor Johnny Depp.
The coolest experience of Dr. Habib’s life took place when he was a teenager. “I was able to do a high school summer apprenticeship at Kennedy Space Center,” he says. “I got to see all the rockets and launch pads up close while working.”
Dr. ShaKira Lee joined The Joint Chiropractic family of local healthcare providers in 2019 and spends her days serving patients at the North Druid Hills and Decatur locations. A graduate of Delaware State who got a bachelor’s degree in biology, she earned her doctorate of chiropractic from Life University.
“The thing I love most about being in the chiropractic field is the ability to provide care to patients and allow their bodies to heal naturally,” she says. “It’s gratifying to see the positive effects that we have in our patients’ lives.”
A product of Bear, Del., she worked previously in Peachtree City,as well as Wilmington, N.C., and Naples, Fla.
Married to a research chemist, Dr. Lee enjoys using her spare time to work out, travel, and spend time with family and friends -- which includes a daughter and a dog named Atlas.
Her first-hand experience led her down the chiropractic path. “For years, I struggled with menstrual irregularities,” Dr. Lee says. “I would get my cycle about two or three times per year. I tried everything, and then a friend suggested chiropractic care. I gave it a try and about eight months into care, my cycle was regular and I’ve never really had an issue since. It was then that I knew chiropractic could help more than just neck pain, back pain, and headaches, and I wanted to be able to provide the same type of healing to others in need.”
She really enjoys sharing that ability with people in the community: “I like working for The Joint because it allows me to provide amazing care to patients at an affordable cost.”
In Case You Didn’t Know
Dr. Lee says the one thing she always keeps handy in her kitchen is Kerrygold Irish Creamery Butter: “I use it on everything. It’s a good healthy fat.”
If she could bring together any four people from history to the dinner party of her dreams, Michelle and Barack Obama, Nelson Mandela, poet/activist Maya Angelou, and media mogul Oprah Winfrey would get invitations. “Barack Obama because he was the first black president and an overall great guy, and Michelle because she’s amazing,” Dr. Lee says. “I would want to learn from the strength and wisdom of Nelson Mandela, and the wisdom of Maya Angelou. And Oprah was the first black billionaire; I would love to hear stories of both her success and lessons she’s learned along the way.”
Dr. Lee said the coolest thing she’s done was get married: “We threw an amazing wedding reception and had a blast, ending with our honeymoon in Maldives. That’s the farthest I’ve ever traveled and I got to do it with the love of my life.”
