Meet The Doctors
Dr. Patrice Gatell became part of The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2018 when she began serving Georgia residents.
“The thing I like best about being in the chiropractic field is seeing my patients improve their health and enjoy life,” she says. “It’s gratifying that I can help patients maintain their health through a holistic approach without medicine or surgery.”
Dr. Patrice, as her patients call her, grew up in Georgia and likes spending time with her friends and family. To relax, she spends time outdoors, goes to the lake, exercises, and practices yoga.
She earned her bachelor’s degree at Auburn University before getting her doctorate of chiropractic from Life University in Marietta.
“I knew chiropractic was calling my name after playing sports in high school and realizing how much better I felt after having chiropractic adjustments,” she says. “This made me realize I wanted to educate people on the benefits of chiropractic care.”
Among the most rewarding perks of the job, she says, is “seeing patients be able to go from reduced range of motion to full range of motion without experiencing pain. It’s amazing to see.”
In Case You Didn’t Know
Dr. Patrice always keeps almonds stocked in her pantry for a healthy snack throughout the day. She says a collection of books that have meant a lot to her are “The Green Books” that trace the evolution of the chiropractic field.
Of course, what she would really love to do is go directly to the source. “If I could invite four famous people to dinner, one would be Adam Sandler because laughter is the key to happiness,” she says. “But I would also include Daniel David Palmer and his son BJ Palmer because I would love for the founders of chiropractic to teach me and adjust me. I would also include Hippocrates, the ‘Father of Medicine,’ to hear all his stories about preventative medicine.”
