5 Health Tips You Should Always Follow

Some health tips come and go. One day you're told not to eat eggs because of the cholesterol, and the next it's said to be fine because eggs offer lots of protein and beneficial nutrients. Although there are some extenuating circumstances for certain health guidances, many of the tips you find are tried and true. The following five health tips are ones you should always follow that will never go extinct.
Drink More Water
Water is key to good health. You need to stay hydrated if you have any hope of keeping your systems functioning well and your joints avoiding stiffness. You should always strive to drink more water in the day -- ensuring you get at least 8 cups in with 8 ounces of water in each.
Get More Sleep
Sleep is also vital to your well-being. You need to get adequate rest each night if you want to stay awake and alert during the day. It will help you deal with stress easier, avoid sickness, and improve concentration. Set a sleep routine so you can get in the habit of going to bed at a particular time each night and waking easily when your alarm sounds.
Diversify Your Plate
Your plate should never consist of only one item. Even two things are not good enough. You need to fully diversify your plate and ensure you have all the food groups covered. It will ensure a nutritious meal that checks all the boxes. A fruit, vegetable, whole grain, protein, and dairy product should be included with your meals.
Find Exercise You Enjoy
You should exercise daily for at least 30 minutes. However, pushing yourself to do something you hate won't cut it. You won't get adequate results and are more likely to give up on the process. It's far better to find an exercise you enjoy and actually want to continue doing. Go for a run. Take a swim. Play outside with your kids. Dance. Jog. Bike. The activity should be something you like.
Wash Your Hands Often
Everyone should be washing their hands multiple times throughout the day. One time per day won't cut it. You touch so many different surfaces throughout a 24-hour period, spreading germs all over the place and touching germs other people left behind. You should wash your hands often if you want to avoid sickness.
