Her journey into healthcare began at the University of Georgia, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training. During her time at UGA, she gained hands-on experience as a student athletic trainer, working closely with the UGA football team in the Fall of 2020, as well as the men's basketball and equestrian teams.

Her diverse experience with a wide range of athletes and sports has given Dr. Nikki extensive knowledge of athletic injuries, conditions, and rehabilitation strategies—insights she brings into every chiropractic session. Her background allows her to address not just symptoms, but the underlying causes of pain, particularly those related to athletic performance and recovery.

Dr. Candace Holmes joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2025 and brings with her more than two decades of experience in chiropractic care. She began working with The Joint in May 2025 and currently serves patients across multiple clinic locations.

A proud graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana, Dr. Holmes earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Pre-Med in 1995 before pursuing her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Life University in Marietta, GA, where she graduated in 1999. Over the years, she has practiced in several cities, including Detroit, Michigan; Cincinnati, Ohio; and Louisville, Kentucky.

Dr. Holmes is deeply passionate about chiropractic because it allows the body to heal naturally without the use of drugs. She believes one of the greatest rewards of her profession is seeing lives transformed through chiropractic adjustments. She knew this was her true calling after discovering its wellness-centered approach and realizing that delivering adjustments was one of her God-given gifts.

Outside of her career, Dr. Holmes enjoys an active lifestyle. She loves brisk walks, practicing yoga, attending concerts, roller skating, and fine dining. One of her greatest joys is being her youngest daughter’s biggest fan as she competes in Division I collegiate softball. She is also a proud mother of two daughters.

An interesting fact about Dr. Holmes is that she served as a surrogate twice in her forties, helping two women who could not bear children. She describes this as one of the coolest and most meaningful experiences of her life. In fact, she has written a book about her surrogacy journeys, which she plans to publish in the fall of 2025.

When it comes to her everyday life, she never goes without eggs in her fridge—her go-to food staple. And if she could host the perfect dinner party, her guests of honor would include President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, Dr. Clarence Sumner Greene, Sr., and Prince.

For Dr. Holmes, working at The Joint Chiropractic is especially rewarding because every clinic she visits is filled with upbeat, friendly, and dedicated doctors and wellness coordinators who truly care about supporting members on their health and wellness journeys.

Dr. Berta Jabavu, affectionately known as “Kibo,” is a dedicated chiropractor originally from East Africa, Tanzania. She became part of The Joint Chiropractic family in 2019, beginning her journey at the Camp Creek location before expanding her impact across the Decatur area and surrounding clinics.

Dr. Jabavu earned her Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Sciences from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Georgia. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Chiropractic from the National University of Health Sciences in 2016.

Her introduction to chiropractic was personal and powerful. While enrolled in a naturopathic program, she experienced a severe migraine. A professor suggested she try a chiropractic adjustment—and to her amazement, the headache vanished. From that moment on, she knew she had found her true calling and switched to chiropractic care. As Dr. Jabavu often says, “Chiropractic found me.”

What she loves most about the profession is the ability to use her hands to help people heal naturally, one adjustment at a time. She’s especially passionate about offering alternatives to medication, stating, “I love helping to decrease the opioid crisis—one patient at a time.”

A competitive gymnast at the time, she struggled with chronic neck and lower back pain from repeated injuries. After little relief from other providers, her mother brought her to a chiropractor. Within just two weeks, her headaches were gone and her back felt noticeably better—an experience that inspired her to pursue chiropractic as a career.

Dr. Fisher earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College in 2002, graduating with honors. During her final year, she worked with a semi-professional football team in Buffalo, NY, and provided care at the Gravity Games in Erie, PA, fueling her passion for sports injury treatment. She is currently continuing her academic journey, pursuing a Master’s in Anatomy & Physiology Instruction at her alma mater.

    I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Hlebec’s office. I called about an hour and a half before closing for a chiropractic appointment, and they sent me a link to complete the application before arriving. I took the time to fill everything out as instructed. However, when I arrived and explained the pain I was experiencing, I was told they had taken another patient instead and could not see me. This was extremely frustrating and unprofessional, especially after I followed their instructions and made the effort to come in. I also felt that the attitude from Dr. Hlebec and the staff showed a lack of care or concern for how I was feeling. It made the whole experience even worse. Overall, I am very disappointed and would not recommend this place.

    There is no place like The Joint! From the moment you walk in until the time you leave, the experience is great. Tiffani at the front desk does a wonderful job making sure I’m comfortable and ready to meet with the doctor. She is also very helpful with scheduling. I've seen Dr. Hlebec a few times now.     Great place. You can’t beat the prices. Going to other chiropractors with my insurance plan cost way more money and they charge you a $20 co pay each for four visits a month plus rip insurance company off charging them all those additional fees. It cheaper to just come here and pay one set price per month. They even give a military discount.

    I have had the pleasure of meeting a handful of doctors at this location. All doctors do a great job, some are a bit more time efficient (get you in-get you out) and that’s okay with me since I come straight from work some days and am very tired. Others are very detailed and take their time allowing you a good stretch after an adjustment which feels amazing.     I scroll through the first few reviews and have a little chuckle. They are all 100% correct Dr. Ross is amazing she's actually outstanding in what she does! She truly cares about the clients who come in and she does something ive had issues with some of the others I've seen, she checks your charts and doesn't treat you like a typical Jane doe just trying to get a basic adjustment.     Dr Fisher takes the time to apply pressure to various trigger points that keep my shoulders in constant pain. She will isolate the various subluxations and work on them with a short deep tissue massage before performing the manipulation. Those are some of the advantages of visiting with her in particular. She is also a licensed physical therapist. I've had some very good adjustments from other doctors, but those same doctors did not seem to acknowledge the upper cervical areas that I pointed to when I came in. Dr Fisher takes the time to identify the misalignment by pressing her thumb directly on the particular cervical(s) causing the pain and spasm. She used the Thompson Toggle adjustment by placing the knife edge of her palm against the base of my neck as I laid on my side, thrusting downward, moving the C2 back into place. My adjustment from her today was precise, as my neck is feeling very relaxed and pain-free this evening. It was a good visit.

    It used to be 5 stars but it sucks finding good chiropractors then you get on their schedules and they are constantly changing like to be honest seeing new chiropractors can be intimidating. Love the app and location just wish the good drs could stay or have consistent days.

    Okay... The first part is based on my prior "Meh" experience BEFORE Dr.Duga(which indicates this review must get significantly better,after?). I had visited this practice before he came and received good treatment, but basic... The only thing that was adjusted was my lower back, but I had complained of neck and shoulder pain as well,but these issues were not addressed by the chiropractor.     12.13.25 update: Dr. Walker hasn’t been at this clinic for a while and I was sad she left, then I found Dr. Fisher. She is FANTASTIC. Completely released my TMJ by some magic she performed one day and it almost brought me to tears with relief. Having miserable mornings where my jaw was unable to move to having full mobility and no pain was life changing. It’ll sometimes start getting out of alignment again and she gets me right back in order. Always one of the favorite parts of my Saturday mornings leaving feeling like a new person! Dr. Fisher is so kind and really takes her time on each patient, can tell she deeply cares about her patients and helping them maintain a pain free lifestyle. Previous Review: I was a competitive swimmer and in martial arts for most of my life, very used to feeling something constantly “off” with my body with injuries. Had chiropractic care off and on throughout the years and didn’t love my last experiences. I’ve been having severe TMJ pain for the last year and a half and when I had a bout of pain that all but immobilized my neck come out of nowhere a few months back, I made the decision to try out the wellness plan here after a great first experience at the practice. Dr. Walker and her staff have all been wonderful. All of the front desk personnel are always pleasant, positive, and efficient. Dr. Walker takes the time to listen to what issues you’re experiencing and doesn’t use force on your body when something is painful. I’ve noticed a dramatic reduction of TMJ pain, posture improvement, less pain overall in my entire body, and my neck feels dramatically better after every adjustment. Can tell she almost has it fully “fixed” and it’s just taking some time for my body to respond to the adjustments. Love that she pays attention holistically and treats the whole spine each time. She has a great bedside manner as well, makes you feel very comfortable in her care. Past athletes with beat up bodies- this is the best I’ve felt in quite a while. I’ve been recommending them to all my friends and family!

    Be careful when signing up for their "wellness plan" and know what you are signing up for, that is on me . They told me I was "notified" of a two month minimum for their "wellness plan", for my son but I was not notified. On top of that I got two different pieces of information from two different people, both contradicting each other. This is a JOKE!     I’ve been going here weekly for the past 6 years. I have a hereditary condition that makes my joints hypermobile and gives me chronic muscle pain. This amazing place is the reason why I’m able to keep moving and live with my condition. I see Dr. Walker regularly and Dr. Kibo when she isn’t there and both doctors are fantastic! I really appreciate how they listen to my symptoms and work with me to make sure I’m feeling better when I leave, know what stretches I need to do, and whether or not I need to use ice or heat on my muscles.     Now that I’m in my forties I started to develop consistent tailbone and hip pain. No other doctors, MRI, orthopedic has been able to help at all. I’ve been religiously going to the joint weekly since April 2023 and it is the only thing that has been able to ease my pain snd make it more tolerable. Staff is kind, caring & efficient. I’ve never had to wait longer than 5 minutes for my adjustment and always feel so much better after. The fact that I can go to any location for my treatment is also a huge benefit!     I stopped in today because I’ve been having some neck and back pain and the chiropractor that was there (who I thought was Dr. Kibo from the calendar on Facebook, but when I looked that Dr. up, it turns out that is not who I saw. It was some man with glasses.) was so incredibly condescending and rude to me that I ended up walking out without being adjusted. He was talking to me as though he couldn’t help me and didn’t understand why I was there. I was really confused at first because I thought we couldn’t possibly be miscommunicating this badly. I got very uncomfortable with the interaction and his tone and did not want him to touch me. I told him he was being rude and condescending and he didn’t care. I won’t be back.

    I was having lower back pain and I decided to visit The Joint in Loganville. It was my first time visiting a chiropractic doctor so I was very nervous. The staff reassured me that it was going to be okay. They gave me a brief overview of what to expect. I met Dr. Bennett on my first visit and she explained everything in detail. Immediately after my first visit I was feeling better. The pain had minimized considerably. It took three visits two days apart and I was back to normal.     Thanks to my friend for recommending this place to me. She tells me constantly to go to a chiropractor but....I have used a few and have never felt like they did anything. I went today expecting what I always get...a egotistical male chiropractor that doesn't listen or care and only wants my money. This is not what I got. I went in with a negative attitude explaining that my friend believes in going to chiropractors over doctors, psychiatrist or anything else. No matter the problem, the chiropractor can fix it....blah blah blah...she just listened to me ramble. She asked me all my issues, I told all, including my mental state/ memory issues and numb foot. I told her I litterally just left the MRI machine etc...I told her I've had an MRI on my brain to look for MS, dementia, a tumor...whatever...I've been tested for numerous autoimmune diseases....I have multiple diagnosis such as osteo arthritis, scoliosis, Degenerative Disease etc... Anyway...I felt that she really knew what she was talking about. She said she believes from my symptoms that I have a bulging or herniated disc. The MRI should show this. I'm going back to see her on Wed. I do feel a little better. My foot is still numb but....she said if the MRI does show a disc issue it'll take a fee visits but it's fixable with adjustments. I canceled my neurology appt for now and will wait for the MRI results and keep doing the chiropractor visits to see what the results are there!

    I was having terrible pain all down my back, by the end of the day, I couldn’t get comfortable from the tingling and numbness and burning sensation I was feeling. The Joint has been amazing! I had instant relief, and even when I think I feel pretty good, I feel even better after I’m adjusted.     This location is very busy, and I believe that it contributes to less than stellar service and care. I have visted another location in Pensacola Florida and I always left feeling amazing. I visited the Loganville location about a week ago and I was less than satisfied. There was about 10 people in the office waiting to be seen, but only 1 chiropractor on duty. I dont feel that my adjustment was as good as in the past. If ice and a heating pad worked then I wouldn't come in for an adjustment. I think that there should be at least two chiropractors on duty at all times to ensure excellent customer service.

    I just want to share my experience with the Loganville office. I was heaving neck pain from sleeping wrong one night and it didn't go away. So I thought I would try The Joint Chiropractic. After two quick adjustments in the first week with no improvement, I went to the doctor and they did x-rays. Said I had a pinched nerve in my neck and to stop further adjustments until it was cleared up. Knowing the payment policy of a mandatory two month commitment before you can cancel, I asked them if they would stop the second payment since I only had two adjustments the first week and may not be back. I was told no, that they would process the second payment anyway. I guess the saying "Customer service is dead" holds true. I get that I agreed to the payment, but if they had been understanding and accommodating, they would be getting a five star review instead of a one star. And I would probably go back after my neck is healed. Oh, and just a heads up for new people. They were not clear that the first charge would be $98 and not $69. UPDATED 12-21-2021: The manager of the Loganville location called me and said she would refund the second payment and wanted to give me a 10 pack of free visits when my doctor clears me to start back with Chiropractic care. She was very nice and accommodating. I wish I had gotten to speak with her when I was in their shop. Perhaps a lot of time and effort could have been saved. Her effort is greatly appreciated and I will be back once I'm in better shape.

    My first time visiting this location. she wasnt very personable. just said hello cracked some stuff and went on about her business with the next customer. the next customer even walked to the back with me and sat there while i was getting adjusted which was weird because her name hadnt been called yet, so i wondered why she was allowed to sit there and watch me get my adjustment. I also dont like that i was charged prior to me even getting my adjustment without permission.     This place isn’t the best chiropractor in the area. My husband and I went here to try a new place. They messed up my husbands back and he was suffering in severe pain for weeks. We did the membership they offer , but a month ago my husband went in and canceled it and they just took and stole money a month later out of our bank account completely unauthorized. if we have to we will sue for this action. You don’t take out money unauthorized!! We were new customers and now we will NEVER return again. I even got care but I won’t be back either because of them taking money out of my bank account unauthorized!! they are thieves! We will be going elsewhere to our old chiropractor they treated us a lot better than THE JOINT.

    Came in today for my first adjustment. Very pleasant experience. It all started with my call to schedule an appointment. I spoke with Cynthia. She was very informative. She gave me all of the information that I needed for my first visit. I came in to the clinic. Kristina was training several girls at the front. They all were very professional and very helpful. I received a wonderful adjustment from Dr. Bennett. She was very informative and provided me with a great deal of information. I signed up for the Wellness Plan that they offer for $69.     I called before I went and they told me they weren’t busy. When I got there, they had no customers. They said since I hadn’t been there in about a year, I would have to fill out paperwork. But they wouldn’t let me do it today because it MIGHT take 45 minutes to an hour and they close at 7pm(I’ve already filled out paperwork and had my initial adjustment before, and they did me and my wife in less than 30 minutes total). It was 6:10.I asked if I could try to do the paperwork fast because my shoulder really hurt and I would love someone to try and help me and they said no. It was 6:10pm! The fact that they MIGHT have to help me until 7:10 was enough for them to send me away in pain! Absolutely terrible.

I came here because my back hurt and was conned into signing up for their membership that was pushed on me by the chiropractor.     Today, March 12th was great! A different doctor was on duty. She listened to what I had to say and wasn’t afraid to adjust me. I hope the rest of my visits continue that way.     The business model of The Joint represents a tremendous value. A revolving payment of $60 monthly allows a patient four adjustments every month. Customers walk-in on their schedule and can usually be seen within minutes if not straight away. My wife and I are customers and we typically only come in on Sundays because Dr. Bennett works on Sundays at the Loganville location, and she is bar none the very best chiropractor in the practice. She actually takes the necessary time to ascertain what is ailing every customer and then treats them completely. She doesn't provide the exact same adjustment to every single patient and she doesn't rush through the treatment process within seconds, sending customers out the door without relief. If I call or walk in and see certain practitioners are on duty, my wife and I will usually leave and return on a later date when either Dr. Bennett or Dr. Johnson are working.

    Its was my first time at that location, the for and receptionist asked me to ho in, a doctor met me at the entrance, did not identify himself, began asking me a whole list of questions, looking at me with a stone cold face. Remember I have been going to this place for about nine month's, but never met such a cold doctor. All he kept asking me was the case settled and did I get a check. .he never identified who he was until I said to him that you are caring for me , but I dont know your name. HHe then asked me to lay on the chair so I told him, can I tell you what works for me. Before I was finished , he told me that he cant do that because he has a hernia. . He then used his little tool on me, and then went on to do one neck exercise . He did not spend even 3 minutes I said "is that all?. He responded yes and turned away from me, took his next patient and totally ignored me. I never want to make race a issue, but there are times things stare you right in the eye and it seemed that he had issues because of my skin color. Here I am after the treatment , the same feeling , which is completely opposite to how I have felt in the past. I am also a medical professional, who'se duty is to treat others with respect and kind.     Love this location. I've been to several Joint Chiropractics but this location by far is our family's favorite. First of all, we love Kristina. My kids love her, they love that she knows them and I love that she talks with them. I love walking in to an office setting and being taken care of right away, before we even see the doctor. She's a gem. We have loved Dr. Scott immensely and today when we went in and found out she may or may not be coming back, due to location of the office from her home, we were anxious about the new Dr. Chang. By the time we left (I bring myself, my 15 yo son and 13 yo daughter) we were so thrilled he was going to be the new main Dr. at this location. He was kind, chatted easily with both myself and my teenagers. Listened to the problem areas and used new techniques (to us) that didn't jar at all but actually made a major difference. I personally walked out feeling like an entirely new person. My back felt better than it has felt in years. I love the option of being able to end my time there when I am ready, but also that Dr. Chang spoke of coming back about four more times, with him, and getting exercises to help strengthen the areas that have become debilitating to me. Absolutely thrilled.

    I have gone to multiple locations but this one is closest to my house. I’ve been a member for a year. The concept is great but it can get you feeling like a number. I’m 28 and the doctors seem to think that I don’t have pain. I’ve asked what I can do you help my neck out at home as well. I was in a car accident and now I have bad neck pain. I try to talk to the doctors about this, they do not show any interest. They lay you down on the table with out ever asking how I’m feeling, has anything changed, is anything bothering you.. nope silence. I mean every single time they never ask me any questions!! They do the basic adjustment and send me on my way. It’s a real shame because I want to back the joint and think its a great idea.. it’s just hard when you are a account number.

    As most I was skeptic about the treatment. My initial visit did not go as I would have like but, nevertheless now Im locked in to the necessary agreement. My second visit was with Dr. Amy Bennett. I'm in love. She's understanding, listens makes the visit worth the treatment. She strong but firm, the way she takes her time to make sure that you are ok makes for a smooth session. I feel better but not 100%. Key word BETTER. If I can take the time to give this a chance, So can you. Dr. Amy Bennett alone gets Five stars.

    Well. My first time here. The chiropractor was so nice. And checked everything. A lot more than others I've been to. She popped like every bone in my back and neck. Only reason I have them a 3 star was because they needed a credit card on file. Not every one has a credit card. And if I could still pay cash . Why do you need a credit card??.Left me wondering why I couldn't just pay cash in advance for the 4 visit deal. Just seems wrong.

    Dr. Amy Bennet is WOW! Absolutely the best adjustment I’ve ever had in my life came from Dr. Amy Bennet. She was very kind, compassionate, and professional. I’ve had multiple operations for thoracic outlet syndrome and my rib joints are very locked up and I have troubles breathing. She is helping to expand my chest better and breathe deeper. Her method is very unique and effective. I have seen so many chiropractors in my life and she is hands down the best. I also have lower back troubles with a herniated disc and after my first adjustment with her I could sit down easier and with less pain. I highly recommend Dr. Amy Bennet. I recommend calling ahead because as of now October 2019 she’s only at the Loganville location on Thursdays from my understanding. I believe she is at other locations other days of the week.

    Dr. Kadria Scott is absolutely wonderful! She is the fourth chiropractor I have tried in this area, and the ONLY one who has done me any good. I hope she stays in Loganville and is not transferred to another location, because at 77 years of age, I would not be able to go anywhere else. Also, the girl at check-in (Christina) is always bright, cheery, friendly, and always calls me by name. Previously was Jazz-and she was just as good. I am extremely happy with my monthly program, and I go once a week-a great bargain!

    I have had a knee injury for over a year now. Orthopedic doctor said nothing really wrong. But he was ! My knee was swollen three times it’s normal size . The pain was through the roof ! I resorted to walking with a cane . As a last ditch effort I went to Dr. Scott After the exam she determined that my knee was in fact DISLOCATED !!! By at least half inch Causing all the inflammation pain etc . Literally I went in walking with a cane and left Her office without using it . My knee has continued to improve weekly With weekly visits . I’m no longer in pain ! For the first time in a year ! Walking without any discomfort. I can go up and down stairs now . I expect full and complete recovery soon. I will continue my adjustments . She listened to me when all others had given up . Saying that it was in my head . Nope I had a bad injury and Dr Scott fixed it Simple as that !

    I have tried traditional chiropractors in the past, but it was too costly and I didn't like the last person's method. I like The Joint b/c it's extremely convenient. I'm a Realtor and no 2 days look the same, so I can pop in and don't need to make an appointment. That's a plus b/c one day my hubby's back tightened up and he went in.     If you've been wondering about making a visit, stop wondering and just go. It's the best thing you can do with 30 dollars for your first visit! I wasn't skeptical per se, but I figured that the people raving about adjustment must just have it all in their head. I couldn't have been more wrong... years of sitting at a desk aggravating high school sports injuries even further finally caught up to me. I stopped being stubborn and took a co-workers advice to come in and check it out. The difference even DURING the first adjustment was amazing, and I can't imagine how much better I'll feel going for the repeat visits. Seriously a great deal and can't say enough good things about Dr. Scott and Chelsea up front to make it feel like a VIP experience.

    The staff at The Joint ( loganville location ) is great. The receptionist always greets you with a smile and a warm friendly "Hello". And i can't say enough good about Dr. Scott to do her justice. She is extremely knowledgeable and professional. My wife ( Jennifer Reese )suffers from seizures and has fallen several times, leaving her in terrible pain. The first time she saw Dr. Scott she made a few ajustments and releaved a great deal of her pain. The frequency of her seizures has decreased greatly as well. For the first time in many years Jennifer has hope for a brighter future. Thank You Dr. Scott... you are a God send.
