Fitness falls to the wayside for many during the holidays. Rather than let your workouts become non-existent, try out a class at a local gym for a way to stay fit. You'll be able to pick out an option that works best for you with all of the choices available.

Not many people head to the beach during the winter months when the water is cold. You can find a pool available at many gyms though, giving you the option for a great workout. A class like this can help you to feel relaxed and give you the time and tools you need to unwind. Zumba has become extremely popular over the last several years. This fast-paced option incorporates dancing and exercise. If you want to work up a sweat while toning your body, enhancing your strength and stamina, and improving your mood, then Zumba may be the right option for you.

You can also choose a full 60 minute fitness class that doesn't just offer one thing. At Orangetheory Fitness, for example, the instructor will take you through the gym and teach you how to use the equipment. You may use the cardio, rowing, or strength training stations. The class will be followed by a cooldown stretch and you can even get a summary of your results based on the fitness band they give you to wear.
