Dr. Nathan is glad to be at The Joint Chiropractic in Glen Carbon because he is able to treat patients from his hometown and looks forward to seeing people he knows walk through the door.

The thing Dr. Nathan enjoys most about chiropractic is the ability to make an immediate difference in people’s lives. Chiropractic not only helped him with his own back pain but has helped his whole family as well, with everything from neck and back pain to plantar fasciitis to great nutritional advice. That validated to Dr. Nathan that chiropractic isn’t just about addressing symptoms but about providing holistic care that truly makes a difference.

She shadowed the team chiropractor and on her first day, she watched a patient with Bell's Palsy improve their smile by 50% after their first adjustment. After that, she knew her mission was to give people hope and health through chiropractic.

Her love for chiropractic stems from her desire to show patients how to reach their goals without medication or surgery. She believes although it's very common to have pain or dysfunction, living with it is not normal. For Dr. Chism, wellness means being able to enjoy every day of life without having to perform daily activities in pain.

In her professional life, she earned a Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southeast Missouri State University. She then attended Logan University and graduated with her Doctorate in Chiropractic in 2021. Dr. Chism specializes in sports injuries and enjoys continually learning about active rehab, extremity injuries, concussion management and holistic health.

After getting fed up with the frustrations of health insurance and its limitations, Dr. Wise was looking for a new practice model, better for both the practitioner and the patient, and was attracted by The Joint Chiropractic.

Dr. Wise found his passion for chiropractic after suffering from knee pain while playing sports in high school. After seeing several other professionals, he was ultimately helped by a chiropractor, and that’s when he decided to follow that path!

The Chiropractic techniques he uses in practice are mainly Diversified, Thompson, ART, and Activator Methods. He subscribes to a "Total Body" approach to health care and has worked with MD's, PT's, LMT's, Orthopedists and Neurologists in order to provide the best possible care to his patients.

When he’s not engaged in the operation of his Joint Chiropractic locations, Dr. Wise enjoys time with his wife and their four children. He enjoys playing games and sports with them, as well as working on projects and traveling. He also enjoys running and has finished 37 marathons since 1999, including the Boston Marathon in 2004.

    Do not set up a membership with them. If you try to cancel the monthly plan with them they lie and say they canceled it, but they still take your money anyways.     I had a monthly membership with The Joint Chiropractic for a while and eventually cancelled because I wasn’t seeing any real results. Six months later, I noticed they were charging my card again. When I called, they told me my account had been “frozen” and then automatically restarted. No call, no email, no authorization… just charges. By the time I caught it, they had already billed me for two months. I asked for a full refund since I had cancelled long ago. They refunded one $79 charge but refused to return the other, blaming it on their “frozen account” policy. That’s not customer service, that’s a billing trap. If someone cancels, it should stay cancelled unless THEY choose to come back. Very disappointing experience. Watch your bank statements if you’ve ever had a membership here.

    The staff are nice, but you do not get the care you need like you would at a normal chiropractor who does an exam. I suffer from sciatica, out of the 4 chiropractors and about 7 visits, not one could aleviate my pain. One actually caused a different issue by pressing my back twice in a row with no pause. Needless to say, I went to a chiropractor that does exams first and he fixed my issue by about 75% on my first visit. If you have serious issues, I would recomend going to a chiropractor who does xrays and an exam first. It may cost more for the exam at first, but it is well worth it. I still have 2 visits that I paid for that I will not be using.

    I was really disappointed when I asked to have my husband be adjusted. It was suppose to be $45 dollars. He told the chiropractor his SA nerve was bothering him. He was “adjusted” for 5 minutes tops. I was under the impression that they might do a full or part body adjustment. Like they do if you’re there for a first time patient. My husband says that it actually made him hurt a little more. But when it came time to pay, the front desk informed me that it’s now $55 and it just went up today. And no, their prices still say $45 and so does online. And the receptionist would not honor the price. I feel ripped off for a service that, honestly, I could have asked a stranger/friend to do better. Really disappointed.

    I had three different chiropractors at this place. One was okay, but the rest seem to be very inexperienced. I signed up for a two month plan and regret it. I'm only using my visits because I paid the money. It seemed like a great deal for $20 per visit. Go to Dr. Ryan at infinite wellness near meridian road. They close at noon on the weekends, which is unfortunate, but for $45, Its like six adjustments at this place. These guys seem like students.

    First visit was overall good mostly due to the very nice receptionist who helped me get ready for my first ever chiropractor adjustment. The 2nd doctor I visited with was much better than my first and I hope to see her more often!

    The convenience of not having to make an appointment is nice, however the adjustments are nothing special - 1 min of a few pops and snaps here and there and that's it. What I found not acceptable was that after I realized it was not for me and told the receptionist that I needed to cancel - her mood changed very quickly from one of bubbly positive to rudeness. That's uncalled for and unprofessional. Also I don't think that this is something you should just do forever like brushing your teeth on a never ending schedule that charges you month after month - I think you do it for a while, then stop or take a break after the problem is better. Also just popping bones into place doesn't solve most issues, especially if they a muscle imbalances - those need to be corrected via exercise and strength training - simply popping the bones into place, the muscles will move them back out again unless that is also corrected

    The receptionist is nice. The doctor I found to be a little awkward and the adjustments hurt quite a bit when in the past my chiropractor visits had not been painful. Keep in mind you are not in a private room either, but there was only one doctor when I went and it is behind a wall from the waiting room. I voiced that the adjustments hurt but I felt it wasn't properly acknowledged. I decided not to continue, and was charged additional $70. I requested a refund because I had not returned and due to several factors I had not remembered to cancel. They "hook" you with a "wellness plan" that requires you to pay for so many visits right up front. Then they charge reoccurring after that. When you ask to cancel you have to either come in to fill out a form or fill out a form and email it. Expect to have to follow up to get confirmation as they wont confirm your cancelation automatically. They also refused to refund me despite having not visited in once in the past 3 months (they also never called to check in on why I didnt) and I requested a refund as soon as I noticed the charge. This place is more of a corporare money grab than a true professional medical office. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

    I have been a fan of chiro care for over 40 years and a long time patient of The Joint since I found the first one in Tucson, Arizona back in 2003. So, I was very happy when I moved back to the St. Louis area to find they now existed here. I frequent the Joint in Glen Carbon. Great chiropractic care at an affordable price and a doc who actually listens and fixes your pain complaints! I highly recommend The Joint.

    I enjoy seeing doctor fuller! I go once a week which has significantly reduced my upper back pain and ahead aches. He even makes recommendations that have furthered to help my overall comfort and health! (Side note, I’m 24 and since I have been going I grew an inch due to my spine straighten out! Super satisfied about that!!)

    I love the convenience of the joint. The joint in Glen Carbon has a new Chiropractor who although he does the usual "Joint" adjustment seems to assess and personalize treatments better than I have had in the past. I love the flexibility of payments and that I can use my flex health care spending account right there at the office.

    I suffer from sciatica and nothing was helping until I started getting adjusted here. I swear by chiropractic treatment and you can’t beat the value. The plans are reasonable and the staff is great! I also love the convenience being able to walk-in and not having to make an appointment.

    Great prices on adjustments your body craves. Dr Roby has gone beyond adjustments to helping me figure out stretches that bring pliability to some very tight muscle groups and telling/showing me stretch routines to stave off tightness that would keep me coming back in. Great for adjusting misalignments but recommended as a regular healthcare preventative service. Not all insurance plans accepted and medicare patients rejected but VERY affordable considering your health is priceless.
