I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic - Davenport in 2019. After graduation I moved to the Cedar Rapids area where I live with my wife, 2 kids, and red lab named Nora. My favorite thing about the chiropractic profession is getting to serve patients and educate them on how chiropractic helps their self-healing body to regulate and function the way it was created to. My wife and father-in-law are chiropractors in the area as well, so it’s been a fun family thing for us to help people in our area improve their health. When I’m not in the clinic I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids, especially activities outdoors. Whether we are baking in the summer sun or building a snowman in the cold of winter, it doesn’t matter as long as we are having fun. I enjoy watching or playing any and all sports, but hockey, baseball, and football are at the top of my list. On Sunday’s you can catch my family at church or in our small group growing in relationship with Jesus Christ and each other. Had zero idea what he was doing. Easily the worst chiro practice I’ve ever been to. And I was in the moving business for 15 years. So I’ve seen my fair share of chiropractors. They sold me on a 2 month program. 4 visits a month. I didn’t even bother going the 2nd month. Read the fine print. They charged me a 3rd month & wouldn’t refund it. Just bad business all around. I definitely would not recommend this business to anyone.

    The Joint chiropractic office in Coralville is awesome. I want to thank two chiropractors: Dr Ed and Dr. Brett both have helped me to be pretty much painless which improved my life. Thank you both. I used to have a lot back and neck pain: Which prevents one from doing the activities that one would like sometimes and also can affect sleep. That's all history now. Always a nice assistants to check me immediately and very short wait times and no appointments necessary which is a huge plus for me as I never know when I get off work. Such a gorgeous chiropractic office also. My father was a chiropractor (hes retired now) so I've been around chiropractic practice since birth. I can't imagin life without chiropractors.     Usual adjustment is approximately 30 secs. I feel better, but I am not sure what improved my condition, because I was combing it with massage as well. However, I didn’t like that this location doesn’t follow its working hours, they can be closed sooner than expected, or they can be closed the whole day even though their schedule with doctors shows who is working during that day. It happened to me several times! Not once, not twice. It would be great to inform your clients of unexpected closure via email or sms. This is a disappointment when you get ready, get into car, drive for 20 mins just to see the paper saying sorry we are closed today. I attach just one example of that below. What kind of scheduling conflict do you have every time, if we know the doctor’s schedule in advance for the whole month? Also they don’t compensate those visits, if you come on the last day of your billing cycle and they are unexpectedly closed, you will loose your paid visit.

    The first session I went to caused permanent damage to my neck, a nerve injury apparently caused by rough manipulation of my neck during the FIRST SESSION. I’ve been dealing with the same pain for months. The person who did my subsequent adjustments said that the pain could be normal since sometimes the muscle might get irritated, especially since I had never been to a chiropractor before. But he was wrong; several months have passed, and the pain and swelling remain, causing headaches. I would recommend that if you’re considering going to this place to alleviate pain, especially pain concentrated in the neck, you should first get an MRI and then go to a more professional place than this one. That way, you’ll save yourself a few hundred dollars and avoid ending up like me.

I am glad they did because I honestly would have procrastinated on calling or going in.     I really like The Joint. I like being able to walk in when it works best for me. I also like that I can go in other states. I’ve been able to receive care in Alaska, Missouri, Iowa, and Kansas besides my home state. That alone is wonderful. But Dr Bennett is hands down the best chiropractor I’ve ever been to. He takes time to make sure that I’m adjusted and has given me stretches to improve my back. He goes above and beyond to make sure that my back pain is diminishing. Truly the best chiropractor I’ve ever been to.

    I couldn't move my neck or barely walk when I got there. The new patient check in portal was quick and easy the the Dr was Amazing! He was very personalbe, knowledgeable and obviously loved what he was doing and generally cared about my well being and the amount of pain I was in. They definitely made my day a whole lot better.     I've changed my rating due to their billing policies. It would be very easy for them to allow me to cancel my plan over the phone or by email. Instead they require me to stop in to cancel. I don't live in Coralville so stopping in is inconvenient. If the treatments would have been more effective, that would also have made a difference. This could have ended so much better for them but now my review goes from 4 and stars to one Star (because I can't post without choosing at least one star). I would have rather chosen zero Stars.

    I went in desperate for help and in a lot of pain. Dr. Wise (I hope that’s how his name is spelled) really helped, it hurt to love when I walked in and was able to fully move around when I left.     At the front desk is Lindsey Lillie and she’s the most helpful and happy person I’ve meant in a long time. I felt so welcomed when walking into The Joint and Lindsey made me feel really taken care of. She truly knows what she is doing and how to take control of the office. Dr. Weiss was caring and very conscious of where I was sore. He even remembered me from last time, including my sore areas and what I need adjusted most. He made me feel very confident in his treatment plan for me. What a wonderful visit, I will definitely be returning.
