Dr. Ryu was amazed by the human body and its biomechanics while studying Exercise Sciences at the State University of Buffalo. Upon graduation, she continued her study of the human body and its movement. She discovered the benefits of chiropractic care and enrolled in New York Chiropractic College. After her extensive training at NYCC, she spent time caring for patients at a low income treatment center and the Veterans hospital in Buffalo, NY. Then she moved to Maryland to pursue her chiropractic career. She practiced chiropractic in multidisciplinary and integrative clinics in the DMV area prior to joining the Joint.
Dr. Ryu’s expertise is treating musculoskeletal injuries. She believes that conservative care without the use of medication and surgery should be a first line treatment for most musculoskeletal problems. Dr. Ryu accurately diagnoses and develops individualized treatment plans for all her patients. She enjoys working with all ages including children, adults and elderly patients.
Dr. Ryu is fluent in Korean and English. She enjoys playing the piano, traveling, watching football and spending time with her family in her free time.
Dr. Nakeria Davis has always had a passion for performance and healthcare. While studying biomedical engineering at the FAMU-FSU School of Engineering, she spent two summers alongside residents at one of Florida’s top hospitals. Though she gained valuable experience, she felt drawn to a more preventative and vitalistic approach to health. After discovering the body’s remarkable ability to heal itself without medication or surgery, she chose to pursue chiropractic care. Dr. Davis is a proud graduate of Life University’s College of Chiropractic where she earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
She fell in love with chiropractic’s foundational philosophy: “The power that made the body heals the body.” This principle inspired her to dedicate the next four years to learning how to guide individuals on their healing journeys. By addressing interference in the nervous system, chiropractic care restores the brain-body connection, enabling the body to heal naturally.
Dr. Davis champions holistic, patient-centered care to help individuals feel their best. Outside the office, she stays active with Pilates, hiking, pickleball, golf, and yoga; explores the DMV ; and supports the arts—Broadway shows, the Philharmonic, and ballet are her favorites—honoring her background as a former performer.
Dr. Sherdane Harper is from Kansas City, Missouri. She completed her bachelors degree in health science, at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee, FL. While earning her bachelors degree she cheered on the university cheerleading team. It was her experience in gymnastics, cheerleading, and AAU track and filed that ultimately led her to chiropractic care. While shadowing professions in college Dr. Harper fell in love with chiropractic and decide that she would like to pursue a doctorate degree in chiropractic.
She attended Palmer College of Chiropractic-FL campus, where she learned and perfected her craft. Dr. Harper graduated cum-laude with her doctorate of chiropractic degree.
She uses Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson and Activator technique. She specializes in Webster Technique (safe and effective technique used during pregnancy) and a current Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner candidate.
Her hobbies include hot yoga, traveling and spending quality time with family/friends.
Her motto is “practice what you preach”. She uses routine chiropractic care to optimize her quality of life and stay sharp mentally and physically.
Dr. Michelle Herczeg became a chiropractor to help families achieve Optimal health, and provide adults and children alike with a way to Improve their lives without medical interventions. Dr. Herczeg uses a Natural approach and is committed to examining the underlying causes of Disturbances to the nervous system, which disrupt normal body functions. She utilizes various chiropractic techniques to restore health and Wellness.
Dr. Herczeg graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Boston University Before obtaining her doctorate in chiropractic at New York Chiropractic College. She began her chiropractic career opening her first practice in Upstate NY while also professing in anatomy and physiology at Onondaga Community college. Through her education, teaching and experience in Practice, Dr. Herczeg has developed a passion for educating her patients as Well as her community on how the body functions to naturally improve Their health. She now serves families in Maryland. And is dedicated to Helping the members of her community live healthier lives. Dr. Herczeg is a Member of various organizations, including the International Federation of Chiropractors and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
