Dr. Andrew Youde joined The Joint Chiropractic family of local healthcare providers in 2020 when he joined the East Mesa clinic location. A product of Upper Iowa University who graduated with a bachelor’s of science degree, he earned his doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic.

You can call him Dr. Andrew -- or even “Doc” -- when you drop into the office to discover first-hand the advantages of chiropractic care. “The thing I like best about being in this field is having the ability to work hand-in-hand with patients to improve their health,” he says. “I love working with great people.”

Dr. Andrew was raised in Cedar Falls, Iowa, but worked previously in the Minnesota cities of Minneapolis, Bloomington, Woodbury, Roseville, and Plymouth before arriving in Arizona.

Married to wife Britney, who Doc calls “my rock and my motivator,” they have a daughter, a dog, and two cats. His hobbies include walking dog Carly, coloring with daughter Sloane, spending time with family, and golfing.

It was chiropractic that helped Dr. Andrew get over his own health issues that led him to become a chiropractor.

“I was a goaltender for my college soccer team and every spring at our first practice, the ground would be so firm, and with my first dive to the ground to save a shot, I would immediately get a headache,” he says. “I knew there had to be some way -- other than drugs, which didn’t really help -- to alleviate them and to help me play at my best. Chiropractic was the answer that saved me.”

If he could bring together any gathering of people from history, he would send invitations to the superheroes of the Marvel and DC universes. He would also include boxing legend Muhammad Ali, chiropractic developer BJ Palmer, and Olympic and World Cup champion soccer goalie Hope Solo. “These people,” he says, “were exceptional within their fields.”

The coolest thing he has done was play semi-professional soccer. “The athletes at that level were exceptional,” he says, “and not many people have the chance to play at that level.”

Dr. Daniel Sowada joined The Joint Chiropractic’s network of healthcare professionals in 2016, and landed at the Bloomington location in 2018. He received his doctorate in chiropractic from Northwestern Health Sciences University with an emphasis on health and exercise science.

Dr. Sowada says his a-ha moment in the chiropractic field didn’t occur until after he started practicing. “Once I started adjusting people, and helped them get better from their pains that no other healthcare provider could help them with, was when I knew I had made the right choice,” he says. “It’s incredibly satisfying to adjust someone and providing the patient relief from their pain.

“I often joke when I leave the house by making the comment ‘gotta go save some lives.’ I may not be physically saving someone from death but I may be giving someone their life back by improving the quality of their life with chiropractic and, in turn, they may be doing things they may not have thought possible again. Just doing the Lord’s work!”

Dr. Sowada shares his time with “the most photogenic dogs ever,” he says. “Marley, an English retriever mix, is the chill cuddly one, and Khali, the Labrador/husky mix, is the spunky energetic one.”

He likes working at the Bloomington clinic and providing a great service to his patients. “I love the network of many offices across the country, the very affordable wellness rates, our appreciation for those in the military by offering the military discount, and lately the app being able to see wait times and the current doctor on for the day,” Dr. Sowada says. “But mostly I like the electronic software we use for our notes and being able to do straight chiropractic.”

I went to this clinic for a wrist injury that occurred months prior. I requested seeing if I could just get some work up done but the provider said he wasn’t fully comfortable working on wrists since he specializes elsewhere. He and the front desk clerk helped to put me in contact with another clinic and were very helpful in finding me a provider that felt more comfortable working on wrists. I was very pleased by their kindness.

I went here a couple of months ago. It was my first time seeing a chiropractor and I’m not sure I ever want to go back. They were very pushy to come back super often and I really just wanted to try it once to see if I notice any improvement first. Well, I had the opposite. For the past couple months I have been experiencing excruciating pain in my lower back, near the SI joint. It cost me multiple appointments with my doctor and physical therapists and I’m still not healed. I had to go on medical restrictions at work. This “adjustment” on my legs not being “even lengths” has already costed me hundreds of dollars in trying to heal whatever the chiropractor did to me. I have no idea when it will even heal, or if it will ever really go back to normal. Not only has it caused me pain, but it has prevented me from being able to work and even move sometimes. Thanks a lot.

Going to the joint, and different locations means you get feel for a bunch of different chiropractors. Dr Dan is the best. He's strong, and I think that helps. He's never hesitant, and his adjustments are always solid and crisp.

I do stop at a lot of Joint chiropractic but this one was worth if you are not local and you are not white don't ever stop here. I had never had adjustment worst then here. After they realised their fault they tried to make it free adjustment for me. When people come to you to get help you need to do your job like professional they are not test subject they spend their time to come to you and pay you from where you get your salary be generous I hope it was last like this situation I wish you guys learn and improve. And I paid for the visit because I don't need charity?✌️

I thank God for these people. Fully staffed, unlike the Eagan location...The Apple Valley location is my new go to. It is 15 minutes farther from home, but worth the trip. They do excellent work and take the time to help you understand how to maintain what they do for you.

This is my first time visiting a chiropractor (been scared of this type of treatment in the past), and I couldn’t be more pleased with my visits so far. The doc knew that I was new to this and afraid, and he talked me through every step he made. He knew what my issue was just by me explaining my symptoms, without even touching me. Once he did, he knew exactly where to go/what to do, and was very nice, and clam about it. This helped me to relax. He’s started my treatment to fix my pinched nerve, and I felt relief for the first time, within hours of my first visit. Even more so after my second visit. I’m no longer afraid, now I’m just looking forward to the finished product and being pain-free. Dr. Daniel is amazing and I’m so happy that I decided to try this option for my issue!

I went to this clinic for my initial consultation, Dr Mitch took xrays and stated one of my legs is longer than the other, i told him i am simply here to get my back worked on and and everything is completely fine with my legs. He did one of his legs adjustments which I completely did not want and had no clue he would do as I stated multiple times my legs are fine. For my second visit I stopped by the Bloomington clinic and without any advance warning or anything Dr Sowada pulled my leg, i heard a snap and caused a torn hip labrum. Ever since then I have been having pain in my hips and now have two torn hip labrums and am unable to workout, having difficulty sitting down or really do anything. If this doctor at apple valley would of just listened to me and noted down that I didn't want any work done on my lower body, legs or hips, the Dr in Bloomington would of never tore my hip labrum. I have complained to the Joint Clinic several times and they won't even refund my money. SERIOUSLY STAY AWAY FROM THESE JOINT CLINICS UNLESS YOU LIKE PUTTING YOUR HEALTH IN THE HANDS OF SOME GUYS THAT ARE JUST TRYING TO BREAK YOUR JOINTS! I have filed complaints at the MN Chiropratic Board and have reached out to attorneys regarding this matter.

Lady at the front desk didn’t inform me that once you join the members program your stuck in it for at least two months. I went for the first month and paid didn’t enjoy the service so I didn’t come the next month, so I ask for my refund on the second month and was denied a refund. Absolute scam especially considering how persistent they are that you join the members program saying stuff like “you won’t get better in just one or two visits” and I’m sure she gets a bonus every time she gets a new member so you’re welcome

I started using the joint in late Feb./early March of 2020. If you are someone who benefits from routine adjustments, I would highly recommend. I get headaches, stiffness and some numbness - but usually not excruciating pain - from compressed disks. I know I have other disks that need adjusting too. However, I think if you are someone who needs massage therapy type care in addition to an adjustment, their business model is not designed to meet your needs. This is strictly about an adjustment. If you need additional muscle work or have really severe pain linked to non-adjustment issues, I don't think their business model is designed to address those issues. The business model doesn't allow for really thorough muscle work and what not. I think the Joint in conjunction with a different massage therapy would work well for those individuals OR they may need to pursue a different, more extended type of chiropractic practice with longer appointment blocks which includes muscle work. Overall, the staff is friendly and the office is clean. I am very pleased and it meets my health needs. I will continue to utilize this and other local Joint locations.

Not so great. I said I still had sharp pain when I moved my neck and was told to go home and sleep on it. Worst night of my life. I’ve been other times when I got adjusted without any issues and I probably will use the Joint again, I just felt like I was allowed 5 minutes and anything beyond that was unimportant.

What a great concept. Went there, no appointment needed, and within minutes I was seeing the doctor. How very convenient and affordable. The front desk staff is so personal and knows you by name almost immediately! All locations are equally great as I utilize them wherever in the TC and travel in the US!! Thanks for the care!!

A doctor had to call me back to get information regarding some questions and when he did he was eating while asking me questions and didn’t lead to book anything with me. I was turned off anyway by the munching on the phone. A doctor called yesterday regarding questions and I told him I spoke w/ someone already and hung up. Didn’t seem too professional

The joint is best for the hours,not having to make an appointment And nice staff but those are the only plus I could give this place. They get you in and out quickly 5 -10 min.Don’t really work on the problem. There is no good exam when you first go there no x-rays nothing just push on your back crack- crack you’re in and out in five to 10 minutes. I’ve gotten better work and more helpful at other chiropractors. I’ve kept going back 15 times with out any long-term relief. I kept going back due to the fact no appointments and weekend hours and the price. I am done spending money there it’s just wasted with no long-term relief and paying $20 and up for a five or 10 minute visit. They cracks you about 2 to 4 times and you’re out the door.
