3 Exercises That Won't Disappoint
Everyone is always looking for the magic pill when it comes to fitness and weight loss. Unfortunately, no such pill exists. Luckily, however, there are some things you can do that almost always lead to improved fitness. If you are really looking to improve your health and fitness, here are 3 exercises that certainly won’t disappoint.
Walking
Walking is a great exercise for people of all ages and levels of physical health. It’s easy on the joints and muscles, but will still provide a solid workout. It won’t demand a large tax on your lungs, but will absolutely improve your cardio over time. It’s one of those exercises that is always good for you. If you want to benefit from this form of exercise, just get up and get moving. A walk around the neighborhood, at the park, on a hiking trail...all of these will provide your body a good workout. You can do it alone, with friends, with kids, or with a pet to make it more enjoyable. Get a good pair of shoes, stretch it out, and walk for fitness.
Running
Running brings all of the same benefits of walking, but with more emphasis. Your muscles will get a great workout, but it will bring a little more stress to the joints as well. Your lungs will enjoy a strain, but it will also improve your cardio over time. Running can also be done anywhere, and can be done alone or with others. This is a good workout for those that want just a little bit more of a workout than walking. Make sure that you protect your knees by buying good shoes and running on ground that is suitable for this type of workout. Given the right preparation, this can be a great way to work your body.
Weights
The benefits of weights are numerous. They strengthen your muscles, providing you with increased stamina and mobility. They also help you lose weight because muscles increase your metabolic rate. If you want to see the most and fastest change in body composition, pick up a weight lifting routine. If you are intimidated by weights, start small. Low impact hand weights can bring many of the same benefits without the actual weight room. One thing's for sure: if you’re looking to change your body, weights will not let you down.
Losing weight and getting fit is a challenge. It can certainly be tough to find the formula that works for you. Use any or all of these workouts and a healthy diet to see the results that you have been working for.
