Meet The Doctors
Dr. Liriam Ramirez-Ortiz D.C. was born and raised in King City, CA. Currently she resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dr. Ramirez-Ortiz D.C. graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2002 with a Bachelor’s degree in Physiology she went on to receive her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Southern California University of Health Sciences, Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 2007.
In her second year of chiropractic school she had the privilege of being part of humanitarian trip to Bolivia with a group of students to provide chiropractic care to elementary school children and the local people in Cochabamba, Bolivia. The goal of the trip was not only to provide chiropractic care but also to educate the children and the locals about the benefits of chiropractic.
Before coming to work at The Joint she worked in San Diego treating patients involved in motor vehicle accidents, personal injuries, and work injuries. She has experience treating all types of musculoskeletal injuries from whiplash to ankle sprains.
Dr. Ramirez-Ortiz believes that chiropractic is not only for those people who are injured but also for healthy individuals such as infants, children, adults, and seniors who want to live life to the fullest potential and not have pain or disability limit their active living. This wellness goal can only be achieved through regular routine chiropractic care.
Dr. Ramirez-Ortiz D.C is currently working at the The Joint – Montano. In her spare time Dr. Ramirez-Ortiz enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two dogs choco and krispy.
Dr. Margaret Pogue graduated from Logan University in St. Louis in spring of ‘24 with a focus on wellness and providing accessible chiropractic care. After completing her preceptor in Tulsa, Dr. Pogue made the move to Albuquerque to begin her new career. She is looking forward to connecting with, learning, and providing exceptional care to her new community. When not at work, you can catch her on the hiking trails with her Blue Heeler, Grace.
