Since her first adjustment in high school, Dr. Crane has been excited about the benefits of chiropractic care. She always knew she wanted a degree in healthcare and found chiropractic to be a great avenue for that passion. Chiropractic care combines two of her greatest interests: anatomy and physiology, and the natural, holistic care. She is very grateful to have found her passion so early on in life. Her passion for chiropractic has transitioned into the care she gives each individual she treats.
Dr. Crane is a native of Buffalo, NY, and just moved to Charlotte from Wisconsin. She is very happy to be in the great state of North Carolina. She is most excited to enjoy the great weather and fun activities that North Carolina holds.
Outside of the office, Dr. Crane enjoys spending time outdoors. Some of her favorite activities include kayaking, swimming, hiking, and camping with her friends and with her fur-baby, Joon.
Dr. Niasia Calhoun earned her Bachelors in Exercise Science Pre-Physical Therapy from North Carolina A&T State University. Dr. Calhoun was a collegiate softball player as well as an Air Force veteran. Following her graduation, she went on active duty for a short term. While on active duty, Dr. Calhoun wanted to take her career to the next level of becoming a doctor. She went on to complete her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Parker University in Dallas TX. During her time at Parker University, Dr. Calhoun went on a chiropractic mission trip to El Salvador to treat the local community. She also treated fellow veterans as well as Pro athletes in the Dallas Area. Her passion for sports and chiropractic finally became real.
In her spare time, Dr. Calhoun enjoys photography and videography. She enjoys all genres of music and outdoor activities. Dr. Calhoun is passionate about helping people in the community and she strives to do her best.
Dr. George Ellwanger was born in Rockingham, NC and has lived most of his life here in North Carolina. He attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA and graduated from there in 1993. His first practice was in Williamsburg, VA and he has also practiced in Cary and Apex, NC. He joined The Joint in Asheville, NC in August of 2018 after coming out of retirement (having discovered it wasn’t for him).
Dr. George says that, “The best thing about being a chiropractor is having the ability to help others.” He believes that that is the reason we are all here on earth together in the first place, to serve one another.
Prior to entering the chiropractic field, Dr. George was a musician, a trombonist. He earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees in music education at ASU with an emphasis on performance and he played with the US Air Force Bands in New England and Europe from 1985 to 1989.
He is a father (to several) and grandfather (to many more, 23 and counting). He has 2 dogs, Powder and Marcel, and a cat, Mr. Jingles.
