Meet The Doctors
Family ties matter a lot because they care the most about you. Knowing Dr. Todd, you can easily regard him as that family man who listens and cares a lot about his people. It was the nature of where he comes from that shaped him into the chiropractor he is today. Todd's brother who is also a chiropractor in Raleigh NC is the major reason behind Dr. Todd's interest in studying chiropractic.
So, yes we have two chiropractors in this family…
When Dr. Todd declared his interest in becoming a chiropractor, he enrolled in the reputable New York Chiropractic College where he received his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 1997.
Skilled Medical Training.
Dr. Todd is a man of wisdom who never gets tired of learning. He initially holds an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Buffalo before he went on to study chiropractic in New York. He has also received a series of postgraduate chiropractic education in women's health, acupuncture, sports injuries, whiplash disorders, and pediatrics.
Dr. Todd is not just about adjustment of the joints, massaging, and healing any type of back pain or neck pain...he is too vast for just that.
He can read through the entire body to detect the problems you might be passing through and not only that; he also has a cure to them. His chiropractic skills have made him top the list of the best chiropractors in Midtown Raleigh and Raleigh NC.
Non-surgical Treatment Styles.
Dr. Todd strongly disagrees with the idea of using surgical methods to treat health issues due to some unforeseen side effects in the long run. Dr. Todd - The Joints' Icon.
We see Todd as an icon considering his many years of practice at the Joint since he got his degree in 1997 and moved to North Carolina in the same year. His selfless service at some of The Joints location he oversees in the Raleigh NC area is epic.
Some of his roles at The Joint include: seeing to the recruiting and training of new doctors, creating new policies, and maintaining the standards of all the clinics he is in charge of. Dr. Todd makes sure he treats his patients using the best equipment and skills.
Todd has two kids - Alexa and Andrew, and he enjoys spending time with them during his break time. Alexa works as a wellness coordinator for The Joint chiropractic Morrisville. When you give Dr. Todd good music, craft beer, and good food he considers it to be one of his best moments because those are his favorites. His love for athletics makes him actively involved in coaching youth teams in his community and Midtown Raleigh...Todd enjoys playing hockey and softball too. He encourages everyone to live a healthy lifestyle the same way he does. His favorite quote of the moment is "you have to practice what you preach if you really want people to trust you”.
Dr. Todd resides in the Raleigh NC Triangle area at the moment, this location is more convenient because he is at the center of the 6 The Joint offices he works for.
Dr. Alex Midkiff lives in Raleigh, with his wife Melissa. He enjoys spending time with Melissa and playing many sports such as racquetball, disc golf, golf, bowling, softball, pickleball, and ping pong to name a few. He was born and raised in Kernersville, NC then attended Appalachian State University in Boone, NC where he met Melissa and studied Athletic Training for a background in understanding the human anatomy and diagnosing/treating sports injuries
Then, they moved to St. Louis, MO where he attended Logan University to study Chiropractic. At Logan, Dr. Alex took many electives to learn different chiropractic techniques in order to be able to treat a variety of conditions and populations in school such as Diversified, Thompson, Active Release Technique (ART), Activator, Gonstead, Logan Basic, and Mckenzie method. Dr. Alex was also involved with a professional fraternity that helped to further enhance a learning atmosphere and create a network of chiropractors. While at Logan, he continued to stay competitive in racquetball by winning tournaments across the state, becoming the top ranked Missouri racquetball player, and a collegiate racquetball champion.
Dr. Alex graduated chiropractic school in 2020, and moved to Ankeny, Iowa to work full time as a chiropractor. After two years of gaining extensive knowledge and experience, family and friends were pulling Alex and Melissa back to their home state of North Carolina, where he started with the Joint in 2022.
Dr. Nikeya Thompson is an North Carolina native with a passion for helping others live their best lives at their fullest potential. She grew up in a small town of Tarboro, singing in choirs, and acting in plays in her free time. From high school, she moved to Fayetteville to attend Fayetteville State University to pursue a bachelor in Biological Sciences. Immediately following graduation, she was accepted into Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina where she would study the foundations of Chiropractic. As a scholar, she excelled academically and was a mentor to fellow colleagues. With her knowledge, training, and love for patient education; she's excited to serve you at The Joint as your Chiropractor!
Dr. Thompson now lives in Garner, NC. Enjoying the culture of nearby cities Raleigh and Cary with her amazing husband. Eating, cooking, and traveling to either a new place or to see family and friends help aid her peace along with her Faith.

5 5 1Before visiting The Joint I suffered from pain between my shoulder blades that just wouldn't go away. It caused me to miss work a few times as well as taking muscle relaxers to dull the pain. Now I can comfortably say those problems are gone! Anytime I feel a twinge, I come in for an adjustment and continue on about my day. If it works for me who has a chronic illness, it can work for you!

There are many locations and even if you are traveling you may be able to find a location nearby. As long as you are a member you can go to any location and you never need an appointment. I am especially fond of the Wake Forest road location with Dr Tyler. He is very good at locating the problem areas and getting them "right ". I have recommended The Joint and this location to many friends and colleagues. I say try it you'll love it; and best of all: no insurance needed!

It was absolutely wonderful, and I am now a regular! I have been to multiple chiropractors, and Dr. Tyler really knows what he is doing. Each visit is quick and effective. I have gone from barely being able to hold up my head to being nearly pain free. The package options make chiropractic care very affordable- they don't even take insurance, and visits are $10-$15 each- much less than even the copay at my previous chiropractor!
