Dr. Smith graduated from New York Chiropractic College in July 2000. He practiced at Powell Chiropractic Clinic from 2000 till 2011. Dr. Smith has lived in Canton a long time, graduating from McKinley High School in 1989, Malone University (B.A. Sports Science) and Akron University (M.S. Exercise Physiology). He also received his Diplomate in Chiropractic Acupuncture in 2010. From 2011 till 2023, he worked for a company in the animal genomics and medical biotechnology space.
Dr. Smith feels he has been led back to being a Chiropractor and is eager and excited to serve patients with their healthcare needs. He fully believes in the Mission of The Joint: To Improve Quality of life through routine and affordable Chiropractic Care.
Dr. Smith has been married to his wife Andrea since 1996. They have 4 sons: Christopher, Jonah, Zachary, and Benjamin.

Dr. Samuel (“Sam”) Schut is an Ohio native, born and raised in the town of Canton. He graduated Valedictorian of his class from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa with both his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Chiropractic. After graduating, he completed residency training in the Connecticut Veterans Affairs healthcare system. Dr. Sam is affiliated with various professional organizations and holds leadership roles in many of them including the North American Spine Society, American Public Health Association, and American Chiropractic Association. He is passionate about providing evidence-based care to patients and helping them get back to the activities they love to do.
