Meet The Doctors

Dr. Taryn Lewis, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Blue Ash

Dr. Taryn Lewis first joined The Joint Chiropractic network in 2018 when she opened the Blue Ash clinic in Cincinnati. After over three years with the Blue Ash location she decided to open a second location nearby in Mason. A 2014 graduate of Logan University in St. Louis Missouri, Dr. T received a bachelor’s degree in life sciences, a master’s degree in sports science and rehabilitation, and graduated with her doctorate of chiropractic in 2016.

She says the best thing about being in the chiropractic field is changing people’s lives, influencing and empowering patients to take control of their health & wellness with subtle changes in their habits & routines. She values the power of the chiropractic adjustment and loves that it can really give people the opportunity to move better “and live pain-free.”

“The other thing I love about chiropractic care is providing holistic alternative healthcare to patients who would otherwise be living in pain, taking drugs, or undergoing surgery,” she says.

A product of Cincinnati -- she grew up playing competitive softball and volleyball in Colerain and then moved to Ross when she was a junior in high school -- Dr. T enjoys outdoor activities with my son, especially hiking, kayaking, and camping.”

A big sports fan, she loves attending baseball games and supporting the Cincinnati Reds. “I also love attending live music events,” she says. “I’ve seen more than 100 different artists and groups perform. The energy at most live music events is something special that can't be experienced elsewhere."

Dr. T says she has known from a young age, “about 12- to 14 years old,” that she wanted to work in the chiropractic field.

“My first indirect experience came from seeing family and friends who found so much relief from chiropractic care,” she says. “My family owns an asphalt paving company, which is extremely hard work, and back injuries are not uncommon. I had witnessed first-hand from my dad, grandpa, and uncle how crippling neck and back injuries can be, and how ineffective other traditional treatment methods were -- including pain medication. I also saw how much relief they all achieved through chiropractic.

“My first personal experience came when I was transitioning to high school when it was recommended that my mother take me to see a chiropractor for further evaluation of scoliosis after having received a spinal screen at school. Shortly after that, I learned I have an uncommon type of scoliosis, congenital, which means I was born with some odd shaped vertebrae and my scoliosis would never completely resolve. I was an extremely active kid growing up and played both volleyball and softball year-round for six years. While there are normal aches and pains that come with playing sports, there was also added pain and discomfort due to the scoliosis, but seeing my chiropractor kept much of that at a minimum and enabled me to continue doing what I loved!”

In Case You Didn't Know

Dr. T enjoys traveling and has done many interesting things. She fondly recalls a month-long trip to Europe as an eighth-grader, which included France, Italy and Malta. “I saw everything from the Eiffel Tower, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and the Vatican to the statue of David, the Mona Lisa, and Pompeii.”

She is a certified open water scuba diver & has been scuba diving with sea turtles & sharks in Hawaii and Belize. She hopes to go diving with humpback whales, whale sharks, and encounter octopus on a scuba diving trip one day. She has visited National parks across the country including the Grand Canyon, Great Smoky Mountains, and Bryce Canyon. She has hiked Angels Landing in Zion National Park and riden snowmobiles in Yellowstone.

“While those were all amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experiences, I would have to say one of my most memorable things I have done was a chiropractic mission trip to the Dominican Republic in 2015,” Dr. T says. “We went to two very poor areas which didn’t even have running water and lacked windows and doors on their homes. We treated the community with chiropractic care, and the improvement we saw in people’s posture, range of motion and pain in just 3-4 days was unbelievable. The patients were so incredibly grateful. On our last day of treating patients, many of them brought gifts, and some of them cried because they were so grateful and were able to do things they couldn’t do for so long.”

Dr. Emerson Taylor, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Blue Ash

Dr. Taylor first joined The Joint Chiropractic network in 2020 as a part-time doctor until 2022 when he was welcomed as our lead chiropractor in the Blue Ash clinic in Cincinnati. He is a 1996 graduate of Rowan University in Glassboro New Jersey where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree in 1999 from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport. In 2018 he earned his Diplomate in Chiropractic Neurology with the International Board of Chiropractic Neurology from the Clinical Neurosciences Institute in Florida.

While Dr. Taylor, aka Doc, was born and raised east of Philadelphia in the small New Jersey town of Gibbsboro, he has lived in the greater Cincinnati area with his wife Lisa, a cosmetologist & salon owner, for over 19 years. They have 5 grandchildren & an 8 year old Aussie-Doodle named Lady.

He says the best thing about being in the field of chiropractic medicine is “You help people recover from different conditions without the use of drugs or surgery.” The second best thing is “when patients tell you their stories of success and how chiropractic has helped them.”

Dr. Taylor says he realized he wanted to be a chiropractor when he was about 16 years old. That was when he says he “discovered chiropractic for myself. One day, I was riding my bike home from work, and the front brakes locked up on me. I proceeded to flip over the handlebars of the bike, placing my hands out in front of me to brace for the impact. When my hands hit the ground, they slipped forward and out from under me, causing my chin and face to contact the street blacktop. My feet and legs became entangled within the bike frame, which proceeded in its forward course, hyper-extending my neck and back, and hitting me in the head. I was in pain for 2 weeks and could not sleep and could barely walk without pain. I finally went to a local chiropractor at the prompting of a cousin who worked there. He examined and x-rayed me and told me what was going on with my neck and back. He adjusted me and I felt instant relief. Over the next few weeks, I recovered and was back to running my 100 and 200 meter events with better times. I eventually decided that chiropractic was what I wanted to do with my life, even though I was initially leaning toward cardiology.”

In case you were wondering

Dr. Taylors’ hobbies include camping, reading, woodworking, and collecting heirloom-quality leather books. He enjoys a Twix bar, caramel delight Girl Scout cookies, and cheese sandwiches, which he grew up on.

When asked about the coolest thing he’s ever done he said its “a tie between giving my life to Jesus Christ, and finding the woman of my dreams and marrying her.” He says “the coolest place I've ever been was Brazil where I spent a month doing chiropractic while in school.

Dr. Vitaliy Dobrogorskiy, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Blue Ash

Dr. Vitaliy Dobrogorskiy, (Dr. V), emigrated with his family from Ukraine at the age of nine. Troubled with some health concerns early in life, he found that following his grandfather’s advice of seeking a more holistic approach to health benefited him greatly. Coupling that with his family beginning to utilize chiropractic care and herbal remedies, it was natural for Dr. V to become interested in pursuing chiropractic for his career. After completing his undergraduate studies in biochemistry, he enrolled at Life West in Hayward, CA. There he discovered and became interested in the upper neck and how caring for that region in particular can have huge implications on an individuals’ overall health. Dr. V graduated Cum Laude from Life West in 2017 and has since worked in several clinics in the midwest. He is fluent in Ukrainian, Russian and English and his goal is to support the proactive individual in meeting them where they are and caring for them as they seek to maintain a higher level of health.

In Case You Didn’t Know

Dr. V enjoys traveling and meeting new cultures. He visited Europe on multiple occasions to visit his home country before his grandfather passed away there. Also, he has lived in Washington State most of his life in the U.S. and then around 2016 after becoming a Chiropractor in the Bay Area of California he moved to the midwest where he has lived for over 4 years now.

In his spare time, Dr. V likes to explore new languages such as Spanish and Mandarin along with their associated cultures. He also enjoys reading nonfiction, studying history, and staying diverse in science to learn about how our wellbeing may be improved to enhance our experience here on Earth.
