Sometimes we make health so complicated. We dream up crazy diets, start intense workout programs, and start taking a ton of different supplements. For some reason we think that the more complicated the program, the better results we’re going to see. But the truth is that health does not have to be complicated. If you're ready to get in the best shape of your life, take a look at these three simple staples of health that you should incorporate into your life today.

Eat More Veggies

Don't worry about special diets. If you want to go gluten-free, jump on the Atkins bandwagon, or try the Paleo Diet, then that's great. But you don't have to do all of that. Instead just think about eating more vegetables. The more vegetables that you eat, the more nutrients that your body is getting. It also means less room for fatty meats, sodas, and junk food. If you're trying to go simple, eat veggies and be done with it.

Exercise More Often

Exercise is such an important part of a healthy lifestyle. But we often making this too complicated as well. You don't have to buy an at-home program, join a fancy gym, or do anything else that costs a lot of money or takes all of your time and energy. Instead try going for a walk or jog. Try joining a local yoga class. Do whatever you enjoy that gets your heart pumping and your blood moving, and you'll be far better off.

Get More Sleep

Sleep may be the thing that we get wrong most often. We stay up all hours of the night, sleep in half the day, and pride ourselves on how little sleep we can get by on. This is definitely not the way to better health. If you want to be healthy, stick to a normal and regular bedtime, wind down every night, and wake up at roughly the same time every day. The better your sleeping habits, the better rest you will get, and the healthier you’re going to be as a whole.
