Meet The Doctors
Dr. J. Cole Young, D.C., knew chiropractic was his calling when he first started receiving treatment as an adolescent after experiencing a sports-related injury. Through the chiropractic treatment, he was able to not only return to his normal function but also improve his overall well-being. That is when he realized that he needed to provide these treatments to his community so they could have optimal wellness as well!
He loves teaching everyone how chiropractic care can help with pain and function. Dr. Cole states, “The best thing about being in the chiropractic field is the personal reward I feel after helping someone get out of pain, back to their normal lifestyle, and the ongoing care that keeps their spine healthy.”
Dr. Cole grew up in Chickasha, Oklahoma, and his areas of focus while in college were Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. He graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2019 with a B.S. in Physiology. This is where he met his wife, Katie, an avid volleyball player. Now, she is a passionate school nurse at Moore Public Schools.
Next, he continued his studies at Cleveland University – Kansas City, graduating in 2022 with his Doctorate of Chiropractic. At the beginning of 2023, they moved to Tampa, Florida, and he started his chiropractic career with The Joint Chiropractic. During this time, they decided to become franchisees in their home state of Oklahoma and opened the Lawton clinic in 2025.
When he is not helping his patient achieve true wellness, you will find him enjoying time with his wife and 2 dogs: a 2-year-old Golden Retriever and a 1-year-old German Shepherd. Both fur babies are full of energy and enjoy swimming and everything outdoors. Dr. Cole and Katie also enjoy traveling and playing sports.
