Do You Plan Breakfast, Grab and Go, or Skip?
By Tom Herrin
A lot of people treat breakfast as a necessary evil. It is something that they may tolerate with the least possible effort being put into doing it. They may try to find something that is quick and easy, or they may choose to skip it altogether. The latter is generally a really bad idea. Skipping breakfast of some kind can cause some serious damage to health. Eating a quick and easy one may be OK temporarily but is sure to have some bad effects in the long term. A quality breakfast every day is something that everyone needs in order to assure the best possible health.
It May Build Cardiovascular Health
Eating the right foods at the start of the day can be the answer to questions people are unaware they even have. Consuming omega-3s and good fats at breakfast can help to avoid problems with the cells and muscles of the heart. Taking in regular amounts of potassium and magnesium is also known to help prevent such issues. Good dietary fibers eaten at breakfast also help to maintain better levels of cholesterol.
It May Help Avoid Sugar Cravings
When people eat a poor breakfast, or none at all, they may find themselves craving sugars or carbs early. If they eat a good breakfast, including fruit or juices, they may satisfy those cravings without compromising their health. Those good fruits or juices will likely be packed with healthy nutrients that can supply what the body needs to function. People who plan meals according to what makes the body work best usually include fruit. When they eat these, they will find that those sugar cravings don’t show up.
It May Maintain Healthy Skin
As members of the society in which we live, many of us are overly concerned about our skin. We all want to keep it as healthy as possible and may go to great lengths to preserve it. Eating the right breakfast may be one of the best ways to provide what our skins needs. The right vitamins, minerals, and protein can help keep skin appearing more youthful. They may help promote collagen and elasticity. When choosing a good breakfast, we have plenty of options. Looking for those key parts is important. The main thing is to have a plan and a goal in sight.
