Dr. Wooten was born and raised in Texas, beginning in Lucas, Richardson through his grade school years, and currently Melissa, where he shares his life with his high school love, Melinda. Occupied with outdoor activities, he grew up exploring family land in Central Texas, and fishing and skiing lakes.
Dr. Wooten realized the importance of health, wellness and physical well being early in Jr. High, and weight lifting and exercise became a big part of his life. He had skeletal and muscle charts on his room walls as a kid and challenged himself to learn a new muscle or bone on his way out to school.
These interests led him to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. After four years of undergraduate work towards his degree, he found a job at a chiropractic clinic. He had never been adjusted before, but he trusted the encouragement of his physical therapy professor, who was also a patient at the clinic he worked for. The chiropractor had noticed his blood pressure was high, and administered an upper cervical adjustment. Immediately post adjustment, his blood pressure was normal. In the following months of working at the clinic, Dr. Wooten was inspired by countless success stories of natural healing through chiropractic care. He soon realized there was a direct anatomical connection to a physiological symptom, and switched careers.
Dr. Wooten graduated Parker College in 2006 and ran his own private practice for 9 years. He joined The Joint in 2015, opened the Addison location, and served as clinic director for two years. In July 2017, he moved to direct the Allen, Twin Creeks, location and has enjoyed an ever-growing, loyal family of patients. The availability he has to be able to provide consistent, high level care for his patients is his motivation.
In order to provide a full body healing experience, Dr. Wooten uses a combination of chiropractic techniques that include gently applied Diversified, Thompson, Upper Cervical, SOT, Activator and extremities adjusting. He also uses minimal to no rotation for chiropractic care through the entire maternity cycle. He frequently applies his physical therapy training to analyze patient's lifestyles in order to pinpoint specific causes of spinal subluxations, encouraging a healthier, more well balanced lifestyle.
