She canceled the membership I did not knowingly agree to and worked to resolve the issue in good faith. I am willing to give the clinic another try; however, I strongly recommend reading any agreement carefully before signing and not relying solely on verbal explanations. Blanca adjusted the terms to align with what I originally understood I was agreeing to, sessions that do not expire, which is important given my work schedule. This flexibility is not something many clinics offer, so I appreciate the resolution. I will reassess my overall experience after I’ve had sufficient time to evaluate the chiropractic care itself. Thank you for addressing this, Blanca. —————— DONT GO HERE! They trick you into a non-cancellable three month membership while saying upfront it’s a monthly membership you can cancel anytime. Then when you call it out, they refuse to admit what was said and won’t cancel. I had ONE appointment with the chiropractor. Why would I knowingly sign up for a non-cancellable 3-month membership when I’m not even sure if he’s effective yet? I also haven’t had time to go back for my drop-in visits as I thought these “would not expire.” The front desk employee CASSIE specifically told me this was a monthly, cancel-anytime membership. Now she is denying what she said and refusing to fix it. That is extremely concerning and misleading. If this is not corrected with a refund, it reflects intentional misrepresentation to customers. Because of this, I now have to reach out to my credit card processor and dispute the charges, which is a complete pain. I will also be letting them know exactly how this was handled. The chiropractor was okay, but nothing special. It’s a typical setup where you walk in, they “analyze” you quickly, do a few adjustments, pull your legs, and send you on your way. There are definitely better clinics that offer more thorough evaluations, scans, and overall care. The only reason I agreed to this in the first place was because they were one of the few clinics that offered drop-in visits. Now I’m finding out you’re locked into a membership you can’t cancel and those visits expire, which completely takes away any value I saw in this place. AVOID

I had been at The Joint Chiropractor at the other location, where the Drs where amazing from day 1. At this location I didn’t get the same treatment. The Dr asked many questions and the minimally treated my back, which I came to get treated for. He did do my neck thought. Then he said I should come back next day to get the actual treatment, because I have “inflammation” and he wants to be careful with it. The receptionist was selling me a monthly membership of 4 treatments per month for m$90 for min 2 months = $180. One session costs $59. I was honestly disappointed. I don’t need 8 treatments. I was looking for a one good one. As the dr asked me to come back tomorrow- which in the other location they definitely say no to getting alignment every day but instead keep 2-3 days in between. So I figured they maybe are trying to get me buy their monthly subscription, and I said no thank you and paid for one. Next I went to massage therapy and a day after I have no more pain in my back, so I did the right decision.

Brenda and Dr Bouvier are great, but the other receptionist needs to do better about prioritizing established patients before new patients, especially when the doctor is not currently seeing someone in the back. At the very least, offering how long the wait will be. I sat in the waiting area for several minutes with another patient, and Dr Bouvier was in the back without any patients the entire time. Then the receptionist allows the new patient to go first, which takes 20-30 minutes, while I could have been in and out in 3 minutes, less time than I sat there waiting while the doctor was free. Brenda is cognizant of this and prioritizes established patients so they don’t have to unnecessarily wait. The receptionists at least need to be offering how long wait times will be so that your time isn’t being wasted. Waiting for new patients is the most frustrating thing about The Joint since it’s all walk in only. Aside from this experience, I enjoy this location.

I went this place for a lower back pain and the Dr doesnt seem to be interested in finding a root cause, but gave me some kind of general adjustment. After the treatment, I was hoping to cure my back pain, so I happen to buy a monthly membership and I just learned that I can cancel after minimum two month subscription. Spoke to the staff for cancellation and refund since I have not used the membership yet. Was told that it is impossible to cancel because of their policy. so meaning I have to go in for next two months and see them even if I don't want to see them unless I burn two month membership. Don't buy the membership unless you are sure to use at least two months.

I’ve had a good experience at the Allen location. Dr Bouvier is great! I’ve been going to this location for over two years. Dr Bouvier has been there most of that time. I can trust that he’ll give me a good adjustment. (I tend to have issues with my neck and headaches) I understand that not everyone requires the same kind of adjustment. With that being said not every doctor I’ve seen there does the job for me. But I’ve had more good experiences than not so good. So I stick to Dr Bouvier, knowing I’ll get the kind of adjustment I need. And the woman at the front desk (Brenda) is always pleasant to deal with, greets me with a smile every time.

I travel the country for work, so The Joint is an easy choice for my chiropractic needs. I've checked in to locations in more than 10 states... Not to say that I've had a bad experience at any other location, but they experience I had today at the location in Allen TX was exceptional. When the doctor asked me what was bothering me, I mentioned My lower back and tailbone, as always, but also mentioned that I have had a lot of pain in my wrist and hand lately. He spent a nice few minutes on my wrist and hand getting it feeling so much better. Full adjustment was amazing after that. I will definitely make my way to Allen again to visit!

I have been to a lot of chiropractors who offer a special and I feel that ll they do is try to get you in with the special! This experience was different, for the first what I was experiencing in my body was taken into consideration. Dr Cao was amazing, I left feeling amazing knowing my hip area where I have had years of pain! I trust him because he actually listened and I can feel the difference. This place is a 10 out 10. When I stopped by for my first visit in over half a year, the chiropractor asked “I see you haven’t been here in a while? Why is that?” At the time, I couldn’t really think of a constructive reason, but after my visit today, it came back to me: “The service is disappointing and impersonal”. I came in with very real pain, but we spent more time discussing the package plans than what was bothering me. Nothing about my adjustment felt personal to my needs. It was quick and efficient. Which to some, is possibly the best part of the experience. I have discovered however, I am looking for something more in my chiropractic care; Pain relief and at the very least, someone who calls me by my name, and not “Savannah”.

Just moved to Allen and was desperate to find help for my migraines and back pain. So glad I found Dr. Bouvier at Joint Chiropractic! Took my aunt to The Joint while she was visiting from out of country because she had been dealing with a painful bump in her lower back that left her aching constantly. We were pleasantly surprised to find a Vietnamese chiropractor there who could communicate with her directly — it made a huge difference. Not only was he kind and attentive, but he also helped relieve her pain significantly. She said she hasn’t felt this good since the injury happened two months ago. Highly recommend this place if you’re feeling any strain or discomfort. Definitely worth it!

Hello! We love this specific location of the Joint (and trust me, they are ALL different). From the receptionist (Brenda) to the doctor we see mostly (Dr. Bouvier - I think the spelling is right), we have the most positive experiences. Every time my family and I go there, it's because we are feeling stiff from everyday life. But when we leave we feel SO much better. Yes, the adjustments are fast, but they are beyond thorough. The doctor asks us what we want adjusted or what is our focal point for the appointment and then will work through adjusting. If I could give a zero, I would. I have been here before, but obviously, new owners. When being handed the patient package again, even me stating, "Nothing has changed," they do not care. Okay, i will fill out the paperwork again. "It clearly states" that you do NOT have to concent to them selling your information to marketing companies in order to be seen. The front desk girl was adamant that I HAD TO SIGN AND ACCEPT IT. And that she "would delete my information after." I pointed her to the words that say I do not have to sign to accept marketing to be seen. NOPE, she would not allow me to be seen without accepting the selling of my information.....I collected all my paperwork..... and tore it up in front of her......Horrible business practices and deceitful employees..... I no longer have faith in them.

The receptionist was cool. However, for this to be a medical service provided by a physician, I've never been so rushed in my life. I had the first appointment of the day. The doctor quickly explained prices and the monthly plan. We didn't discuss overall health, benefits or a value at all. He did ask why I was there but no value was given to my motive. He started the adjustment immediately. The consultation was not existent. I did not learn anything. I have no reason to go back. The worst part of the visit was the actual adjustment and treatment. I went on Friday and whatever he did bruised my chest. It impacted me for the rest of the day. And the rest of my day included physical activity. It is Saturday and my chest is still sore. I'm not sure if he bruised my rib or something more. Taking a deep breath is tough at the moment. Running is tough. I went in to improve mobility, flexibility and get ready for the physical activity I had yesterday evening. Evening. I left an estate where moving is now uncomfortable. His process of doing the adjustment was just as rushed as the conversation was. My advice is just to slow down. Listen. Ask questions. Give value to those motives. And be more careful when doing the adjustment. I'm sure they've done this a thousand times. There's no reason for him to put that kind of pain in my chest.

I am no longer a member at this location and I was charged for two consecutive months AFTER having cancelled my membership months before. I called after reviewing my card statement and was told I’d receive a call back to issue a refund within a few days. It’s been a month with no call back. I called again today and asked to speak to a supervisor and was told it wasn’t possible. I asked for an email address or something to escalate this issue. I was told that no such email exists and that no phone number could be given to me either. I am very displeased with the follow up communication and lack of urgency on behalf of this Joint location. I do not recommend them based on the potential for unauthorized charges occurring on your card. Beware. I was never given a reason this occurred. I feel that there is some dishonesty on behalf of the clinic and I will be pursuing other avenues to rectify the situation.

The front desk experience has become increasingly frustrating. There is a staff member (black hair, heavy eye makeup) whose customer service has been consistently poor. On multiple occasions—every few visits—I have been asked to complete extensive “new patient” paperwork, even though I am an established patient of several years. When I questioned this, I was told it was an annual requirement, but the frequency has been inconsistent and unclear. In addition, there is very little engagement at check-in. Communication is minimal, and interactions often feel dismissive, with little sense of urgency to assist patients. I have been coming to this office for about five years and have seen a lot of turnover at the front desk. Unfortunately, this has been the most challenging experience so far. I hope management addresses these concerns, as the front desk sets the tone for the entire patient experience.

I went in on Monday after experiencing horrible back pain over the weekend. Dr. Liz treated me and told me that she would give me 2 free visits to ensure I would come back. She wrote this on a prescription paper and gave it to me. The receptionist tried to sell me on the membership with the promise of 3 free visits and I declined. I came back today (Wednesday) and was treated and went to check out. I presented the piece of paper to the receptionist and told her what the dr had said about my free visits and she refused to honor it saying that I only would get those if I signed up for a membership. This went back and forth for a bit because she would not honor what the doctor had told me and the signed paper from Dr. Liz. The only reason I went back was for the free visits and I can assure you I will never be back after this. This place is a scam.

Be careful when you sign the contract at your first visit!! The receptionist doesn’t provide correct information verbally, I specifically told her that I only wanted to sign up for one month to try and doesn’t want to sign the contact, she told me that even just for one month, I still need to fill out the form and sign. Then I asked, if I sign the contract, can you make sure that my card won’t get charged on the following month? Her replied was yes, which was totally a lie!! My card was automatically charged $89 monthly for 3 months until I found out from my credit card statements. When I called them back to argue that they provided me the wrong information, they said they never did and if I wanted to cancel my monthly subscription, I have to go in in person to sign a form to cancel it! WHAT A SCAM!!! They just wanted to get ppl to sign up their monthly program and make money from the recurring charges every month! The way they make money from ppl really disgusts me. Especially when so many people already wrote the same reviews about this, they still did not change the way they do business and continuing to fool people. I rarely dislike anyone in my life but this time I really dislike the receptionist!!!! The Joint Chiropractor, please don’t bother to reply my review, all of your comments are similar to all the people who reported the same issue. I had sudden severe lower back pain for 2 days. Then a friend recommended this Chiropractor, initially I was very hesitant to go but because of pain I went. I was super pleased to go. I rarely provide any reviews for any service good or bad. But this Chiropractic service provider forced me to. Be very careful during your first visit, they give you a form to sign up. And your card gets charged automatically where you use the service or not. I specifically said I DO NOT WANT to subscribe to this service but rather use it as a one time 4 session charge, but they charged me overall $508.00 for just one initial visit.

I’ve recently become a new patient here at the Joint, I’ve never gotten adjusted by a chiropractor before and the Allen location truly made me feel at home and completely comfortable and at peace about my decision to be with them and not another practice. I’ve not only been getting adjusted, I’m getting educated on some ways to continue the wellness in my body structure, I’ve been having the best conversations with their amazing doctors and receptionist, full of good energy which I love because I’m full of good energy, and the location is only a few minutes away from where I live in McKinney! The billing practices at this location is horrible, you fill out whatever form and they just keep charging your account. When you follow up they always have to reach out to “management” who takes forever to get back to the clinic itself. By the time they respond you’ve been charged again. When you do get back to you they need to put in an IT ticket which takes another week for a response. None of their plans are worth this back and forth related to billing. If you can work pass their horrible billing nonsense Dr Hooten is amazing and always makes my back feel better.

There are 2 different ladies that work the front desk that ive had interaction with. One of them is very nice and friendly one is the complete opposite, very rude and has no problem at all cutting you off to where you can not even get a word in...at all. Highly unprofessional and really gives this location a bad image, seeming how everyone else is very professional and welcoming. I paid $29 for my first visit, I was TOLD that I was getting 4 visits for $79 plus 3 free visits as a promotion they were running at the time. I took the young ladies word at the front desk and signed the paper where she told me to. PLEASE people read the fine print and ask detailed questions or they will get you. I had a new $79 taken out a month later to find out the paper I signed was a monthly contract for that amount. Yes I signed the paper but NO they DID NOT explain that it was a reoccurring payment. I work at a neighboring apartment complex who always promote them and referr residents to them and I am sad to know this is how they treated me and anyone else that might have gone through this. I hope this location REALLY speaks the this young lady in the front who gives them such a bad image. Just so you know I also have not been able the still get an answer on getting a refund on service that I have cancelled and will not be using. Major let down and VERY upsetting!

The prices are great and they are straight to the point but I was led to believe an xray would be performed. The whole process lasted about 7 minutes then was asked to sign up for a package. I just wish I could of figured out exactly what was wrong with me a 90 sec consultation then popping my back i dont think anyone could tell what is wrong. They did give me about a 20% decrease in pain from when I walked in. They were incredibly friendly and greeted the guest prior to me by name. I am completely new to going to a chiropractor so this might be normal business. So overall I am happy with my time there. My decision not to sign up was the recurring payments I forget to put my socks on in the morning sometimes no way I will remember to cancel the payment haha

I like the chiropractor I currently see Dr. Bouvier and I won't see anyone but him. He knows what he's doing. Hes great. Brenda is great too. I like that there always seems to be some kind of affordable plan I can sign up for and go as needed. It doesn't hurt that office is right across from work and beside bath and body either. I have had bad experiences there with other chiropractors but not with this one.

I see Dr. Wooten weekly and he's fantastic. He's very knowledgeable, helpful, listens to your concerns and cares about your well-being. There are other chiropractors that work here occasionally. Dr. Anderson was very nice, Dr. Woods was good. The only people i haven't cared for was a woman, i can't remember her name (she was Hispanic) and Dr. Lovelace.

First time trying The Joint - walked in, signed up, and was seen all within 5 minutes - which is great in theory. The young lady that welcomes you in seemed to be a bit annoyed with just being there. The website shows your first visit includes “consultation, exam, and adjustment” - there was no consultation, no exam, and the adjustment lasted all of 90 seconds before he said “that’s it” and that he recommends coming back once a week...no questions were asked about the pain, no recommendations were provided on how to alleviate the pain moving forward. A large part of chiropractic is the people making you feel welcomed and providing quality care - I did not receive either from here.

Dr. Wooten is amazing! He does a great job of explaining how the body works and what it feels like when something is off. 1- The nicest front office woman :) . 2- Dr Wooten is legit. i was in town on business and he treated me like I was going to be a reoccurring patient. he really invested time with me and I've seen chiropractor on and off (genetic degenerative issues) and he is honestly one of the best I've gone too. Dr. Wooten is nothing short of amazing. I began seeing him almost a year ago for pain so debilitating it affected my work and my sleep. As a fireman I must be healthy and ready to work. Within just a few visits I was pain free and have been since. I continue to see him to remain pain free and healthy. I would recommend his care to anyone in need. He is focused on your individual needs and listens to what you tell him about what's going on with your body. Many chiropractors simply do the same thing for every patient, not Dr. Wooten. I came to The Joint Chiropractic-Twin Creeks back in October at the referral of a friend. I had been suffering from acute back and foot pain for many months. Honestly, I'm not quite sure why it took me so long to get here... probably because I thought going to a chiropractor would be cost prohibitive. What an unexpected surprise! My first visit to Dr. Wooten proved to be a 2" misalignment in my hips! I felt some soreness on the evening after the first visit (which I treated with ice), but the acute pain was gone pretty much immediately. When I went back for another adjustment later in the week, I was already feeing so MUCH better. Currently, I am on a maintenance plan. My back is getting stronger, and I'm able to exercise again. If you're in constant pain, don't wait like I did. Dr. Wooten took great care to make me well again.

Dr. Wooten is a great chiropractor who first and foremost cares about a patient's overall wellness. His treatment is top notch as well as his advice with exercises, stretches, etc. to help you alleviate any pain and maintain proper wellness. You are greeted at the front door with a great smile and customer service by Micki. This location treats you like you are part of the family and that is hard to find these days. I met Dr. Wooten at a Dallas location and have now followed him to the Allen location. Why do I drive from Dallas in the traffic to Allen for treatment? The answer is simple. Great customer service with a chiropractor who knows what he is doing and he treats you like family member and not a number.

Omg worst experience in my life, I was with bad pain in my neck and I ended up having even more pain. Doctor told me after he crunch me I will feel better later so I can comeback either later or the next day to finish his job (crunch me more). Well.. later I have to call and let them know that I am not feeling any better but worse. Doctor told me, I can comeback either today or tomorrow if I feel better, like he was not listening to me that I have more pain than before. The front desk lady told me you can visit another of our locations if you want... really!. My boyfriend who has his spine injured and had extended experience visiting different chiropractors asked me, if they took X rays before they touch me.. I told him not at all, as soon as I got there doctor started crunch my neck several times, I had to stop the doctor and tell him please is hurting really bad!... my boyfriend responded how they know where to work if they don't know where exactly is the damage... ??.... next day I went to a different chiropractor.. I would better say a real chiropractor he took x-rays and found the real problem on my neck! After reviewed my neck and checked my motion he told me he can't work with my neck right now because my muscles are tense and swollen I need to comeback in another day. He even tried to work with my neck because he actually was able to see the complete damage on my neck after the X-rays. For your own safety please don't go to this place ???

Dr. Barry Smith is the best Chiropractor I've been to in Allen. He's always nice & polite to my family and myself. He's always been professional and direct to the point of what we do & avoid. Our family has been going to here past two years & would highly recommend to my family and friends. I am a registered nurse. I have been in 2 serious car accidents & had ACL repair done. He always considers what is currently going on, like lifting patients, and our medical history. He is very up front of what he & the clinic can or cannot do. I didn't want the secret out about him being the only Chiropractor I will allow to work on my family, but I couldn't stand him being thrown under the bus by another person. No one can make everyone happy, but Doc Smith takes pride in doing is best every, single time he cares for us. Thank you for taking Excellent care of us!

I am so happy I found The Joint, I had my first chiropractic adjustment with Dr. Barry Smith, and he is great! He listened to me and answered all my questions and concerns. Dr. Barry Smith is professional and knows what he is doing. He take the time to know what my issues are and then presents the plan of attack. RELIEF. Staff is also very friendly and accommodating. They're open 7 days a week, no appointment required, which is a plus for convenience! I got one of their affordable membership plans, and will keep coming back. My whole family went to this location on their grand opening. It's pretty much the same setup and quality of care as the other Joint locations in the Collin County area. Love the Joint for its ease of use and reasonable prices. No need to make an appointment. The longest I've ever had to wait at any Joint location was 5 minutes. I've been going to chiropractors for about 15 years off and on, and from my (non-medical) perspective, the Joint is able to provide the same quality of adjustments that I've had in the more traditional chiro offices. Pros: great adjustments, cost & convenience. 8/25/16 Update: Still a 5 star. I go there on a weekly "maintenance" visit. Dr. Smith takes great care of my entire family. I spend a lot of time online, and I rarely have any "computer neck" problems. Thanks.

My experience was AWFUL. I have never been adjusted before and I told Dr. Smith that. No major back or neck problems but I train a lot so wanted to make sure my body was in perfect condition. I believe Dr. Smith was way too rough on someone for their first time and his negligence has led to a neck injury. It has been 7 days after the adjustment and I am still in SO much pain, especially my neck. The worst part is when I called to let him know how I was feeling, he was insensitive and egotistical. There was no remorse, no empathy that I had a bad experience with him. He simply told me to come back in or he would send me to someone else. I told him I was uncomfortable to come back in because he hurt me the first time and was basically like, "OK, don't come back." I probably would have given him another shot if his demeanor was better but it wasn't. He doesn't care about the actual well being of the people he sees. He just wants to make money and get them in and out as quickly as possible. I truly think he injured my neck, as its been swollen and sore for days. He has set my physical training back weeks and I feel like I have lost what I worked so hard to gain. I will NEVER recommend The Joint, especially Dr. Smith, to anyone. To make matters worse, I asked for the management to call me - someone higher than Dr. Smith and no one returned my phone call. Save your health and money by going somewhere else.
