Dr. Toufic Saleh joined The Joint Chiropractic family of local healthcare providers in 2015, and became part of the team at the Montgomery Plaza clinic location in 2020.
Dr. T, as his patients call him, is a graduate of Long Beach State with a bachelor’s degree in business finance; he earned his doctorate of chiropractic from Southern California University of Health Sciences.
“The things I like most about being in the chiropractic field is helping and educating many people about chiropractic and seeing the great results of getting a patient out of pain without using any drugs or invasive treatment,” he says. “It’s gratifying to see the smile on patients’ faces when chiropractic treatment works for them.”
Before becoming Fort Worth’s local chiropractor, Dr. T worked in the California cities of Torrance, Lomita, Downey, and San Pedro. HIs wife is a communications major from UT-Arlington.
A product of Torrance in Southern California, Dr. T enjoys using his spare time for exercise activities such as weightlifting, running, and high intensity interval training. He also likes hiking, playing basketball, and spending time with friends and family.
“My father was a chiropractor and I have been getting chiropractic adjustments since childhood,” Dr. T says. “I have always found it fascinating how the art of chiropractic works. I grew up hearing people call my dad ‘the guy with the healing hands.’ I wanted to have that skill set of helping many people and putting smiles on people’s faces by relieving them from acute and chronic pain. That’s when I knew becoming a doctor of chiropractic is what I wanted to pursue.”
In Case You Didn’t Know
Dr. T says the one thing he always has in his refrigerator is juice. “I am a type 1 diabetic and because I am always active my blood sugar sometimes drops, so I have juice in my fridge for an emergency in case I need to raise it.”
If he could bring together any four people from history for the dinner party of his dreams, he would send invitations to former Lakers teammates Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal, as well as Kevin Hart and Daily Show host Trevor Noah. “Shaq and Kobe are my favorite athlete duos,” Dr. T says, “and Kevin Hart and Trevor Noah are my favorite comedians.”
Dr. T had to leave the United States for the coolest activity he has ever done.
“I went to Bali and went river rafting through the jungle,” he says. “It was so cool because the scenery was awesome and it’s an experience you can’t get just anywhere.”
