Dr. Thien was born and raised in Port Arthur, Texas. While pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, he went to see a Chiropractor for an old sports injury that had been hampering him since high school. After a few months of treatment, his pain was gone. That was when he decided to switch gears and attend chiropractic school.
Dr. Thien graduated with his doctorate from Parker University in 2014. Since then, he has practiced in Mesquite, Texas and Yukon, Oklahoma. After practicing 3 years in Oklahoma, he knew he was Texas through and through so he decided to move back and joined the The Joint in the summer of 2019.
Dr. Kellus Pruitt was born in Fort Worth then moved to Arlington where he grew up and graduated high school. He spent his undergraduate education across many fields at several universities, then settled on the healthcare field. His fascination for life and the human body put him on the path to chiropractic. After graduating with his bachelors, he went into chiropractic school at Parker University graduating in 2017. During the chiropractic program, his body suffered gut and brain dysfunctions that led to first-hand experience of how the gut relates to the brain. After conquering the gut-brain dysfunction he took his knowledge into clinic work with chiropractic and dietary consultations to help people inside and out.
Dr. Pruitt learned soft tissue techniques from long-practicing therapists, and other chiropractors giving him the perspective of looking at the body as a moving system of balanced tone. He approaches people with a goal of balancing the tension and reducing stress on the body. The combination of the techniques, knowledge from undergraduate, and practice working at injury clinics gave him skills to better serve others. He joined the joint in June 2019 and has since been practicing with them helping as many people as he can.
His primary passion is teaching, which as a chiropractor is done daily. When he is not helping others or spending time with friends or family, he spends time relaxing playing games, hiking, running, and cycling.
