Dr. Amanda is a native Texan, born in Austin, raised in Houston, her family now lives in Central Texas. She has a BA in Art from Texas State University - San Marcos and attained her DC degree from Life University in Marietta, GA in 2015.
Amanda’s grandparents are artists and entrepreneurs, her mom has worked as an artist and is currently building her business as a home stager. Her dad is a master electrician. She is the oldest of 3 children and the first of her family to attain an advanced degree. At a very young age, she was curious about what it meant to be healthy and why medical doctors didn’t always have the answers to what made people sick and how to get them better. Prior to being a chiropractor, Dr. Amanda studied art, biology, nutrition, personal training and personal development. She was the president of the Women’s Club Softball Team while at TX State, and the Treasurer of the Upper Cervical Student Society at Life University. She was also awarded acceptance into the Research Track at Life University for her research proposal on recording brain waves before and after an upper cervical adjustment and presented her poster to IRAPS in October 2015.
She first was introduced to chiropractic in 2012 at a leadership weekend in Ft Lauderdale, Fl. Looking for her path to fulfilling her passion for what it means to be healthy, she met a chiropractor who shared with her the power of chiropractic. She quickly decided chiropractic was the way to fulfill on being the doctor she imagined she could be at age 4. She found that not only would chiropractic be the solution for her low back pain, it could also address emotional distress, stress, nutritional needs and have access to optimal health and vitality.
