Dr. Charissa DeMara is one of the Joint’s newest additions. She joined our team this year and is making herself at home at the Arboretum location. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree, majoring in Nutrition and food Science from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan in August 2011. She then attended the Life University College of Chiropractic in Marietta, Georgia. Here she earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic in December 2015.

Her favorite thing about being in the chiropractic field is educating people about the benefits of chiropractic care and see improvements directly through their treatment.

I have a great passion for working with pregnant women and small children because chiropractic care helped me so much during my own pregnancy and also my son’s health!” - Dr. DeMara

In Dr. DeMara’s spare time, she likes to spend it with her family, including her husband Daniel and son Jack. While she is the newest addition to our Joint family, she is expecting a new addition to her in September 2017! Dr. DeMara and her family love to spend their time outdoors, whether it is running full and half marathons or just taking their husky to the dog park and meeting other dog lovers.

While she was working on her bachelor’s degree in Michigan, she met a chiropractor who introduced her to chiropractic and educated her on the philosophy of the power of the body to heal itself under correct conditions through healthy diet, regular exercise, healthy mind, and regular chiropractic care.  “This changed my entire outlook on the way I wanted to help people through healthcare, and then I switched to chiropractic care shortly after!” -Dr. DeMara

Dr. DeMara says that the thing she likes best about working for the Joint is that it offers convenient and affordable care to all patients. “Chiropractic care is so important for everyone, and so many people are unaware of the benefits of chiropractic care that The Joint can really reach the masses!” -Dr. DeMara

Dr. Craig M. Binner, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Arboretum-Austin

Dr. Craig M. Binner, “ Dr. B” to his patients, has always had a strong passion for living an optimally vital life. The seed that was planted that led him to pursue his chiropractic career was when he was injured while freestyle skiing. It was the local chiropractor that helped return him to optimal health. From that point on, it was Dr. Binner's desire to earn his Doctorate in Chiropractic and help others return to optimal vitality via quality chiropractic care. He has served his patients for the past 26 years and his passion for serving his community grows every year.

Dr. Binner, received his undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin. He then attended Northwestern Health Sciences University where he earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic. After graduating, Dr. Binner practiced for 15 years in Virginia where he built two thriving practices. In 2005, he decided to move his family to the great state of Texas where he continues to serve his patients. Dr. Binner has recently sold his private practice and has had the honor of joining the Joint Family at the end of 2017.

Following his formal education, Dr. Binner has continued to sharpen his knowledge base and skills through continual education. It is his goal to continually improve in his ability to help others.

We cannot forget furry member of the family, their Dog Jack.

During Dr. Binner's free time he enjoys lifting weights in his garage, travel, practicing Krav Maga, taking dance lessons with his wife, taking long walks on the beach and cooking Paleo meals. He also enjoys playing ping pong when his brothers from his church get together for a bit of fun. Life is too short and he realizes to stay optimally healthy, having play time is important.

What intrigued Dr. Binner about The Joint is the return to the fundamentals of optimal chiropractic care. The best thing chiropractic can offer is a quality adjustment to bring balance back to the body. At The Joint, the goal is to deliver that quality care at an affordable price as to allow as many as possible live a healthy and vital life.

Dr. Binner believes that coolest thing he has done is to try to be the best example to his son in how a man should be. “ To see my son turn into a man of high moral character and integrity will be the proudest moment of my life” - Dr. Binner
