Dr. Marc Richardson has been freeing people from pain in the Austin area since 2004. As a Chiropractor with experience, Dr. Richardson has been committed to promoting the health and well being of his patients since graduating from the Texas Chiropractic College in 2001. He is also a veteran of the United States Navy and served during the Gulf War. He was stationed on the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier. Upon detachment from active enlistment of the Navy, Dr. Richardson obtained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Biology and a degree for Doctor of Chiropractic. He then became an associate doctor and treated injured workers and automobile accident victims. From 2001 to 2003, Dr. Richardson accomplished a year of post-graduate studies in sports injury, nutrition and rehabilitation. He also has obtained many post-graduate hours of specialized training in personal injury, auto accident treatment, x-ray interpretation, holistic approaches to patient care, and biomechanical effects of the sports injury. If you want some tips or information on exercise or working out, Dr. Richardson is an excellent resource due to his vast experience and education on the subject.
Dr. Richardson enjoys spending time with his wife MJ and seven children and now expecting baby number eight in February. The busiest time of the year for him and his family is football season as we have three children playing in the youth league and Leander High School.
Dr. Richardson uses a whole person approach to treating each patient. This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and make whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize the conditions for normal function. Using this unique approach, Dr. Richardson is able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.
Dr. Constance Smith is a proud graduate of the University of North Texas. After completing her Bachelors degree in Kinesiology, she started working as a Chiropractic Assistant. Seeing all types of patients walk in with pain and leave with relief was the spark that started her love for chiropractic. After briefly practicing in Highland Village, Tx her and her fiancé, Dr. Austin Meindertsma, D.C. moved to the Austin area in 2019 where they joined The Joint family. Her favorite thing so far is working with Dr. Le and her WC because they make the days fun.
Dr. Smith enjoys being outside, writing poetry and playing pinball. She also enjoys playing with her English Bull Dog, Beef Wellington and her Red Eared Slider Scarlett Persephonnie Jeankinns. The best thing in life is being with family and helping people discover the power they hold within their body.
If Dr. Smith could throw the perfect dinner party, it would include Sam Cooke because his music raised her, Vincent Van Gough because she wants him to know how amazing he really was, Robin Williams because his brain intrigued her and Harriet Tubman because her strength is admirable. When asked what the coolest thing she had ever done, she said “it’s between snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef and indoor skydiving. I was completely terrified during both. Although, I never thought I’d ever swim with dolphins and reef sharks, I wasn’t with anyone special when I did that. When I went indoor skydiving, I was with one of two best friends.”
