5 Fall Fitness Date Ideas

By Brandi Goodman

Dinner and a movie may be a popular choice, but it isn't the only one. This fall, plan some fun dates for you and your partner to experience. You'll get to enjoy your time together doing something that improves both of your health.

Visit a Corn Maze

Corn mazes pop up in the fall months for people to try to make their way through. Take your date to a daytime corn maze if they're not into spooky stuff, or try a nighttime option if you both enjoy being scared. It can be fun to work together to get through the maze and you'll get in a great workout in the meantime with all the walking and searching you'll have to do.

Go Apple Picking

Apple picking is another common activity for the fall. Skip the local locations you've been to a hundred times and take your date to a place that's farther away. You'll get to experience a new venue together and get plenty of exercise as you walk through the orchard and pick your apples. You can make the date even better by baking the apples together afterward.

Take a Hike

Autumn is the perfect time for a hike. You and your significant other can enjoy a hike through the wilderness together, stopping to take in all the beautiful scenery. The green leaves look great in the summer, but the shades of orange and red they start to turn to in the fall are even more breathtaking.

Try a Haunted House

If a corn maze in the dark is up your alley, then a haunted house may be in order for date night as well. The two of you can hold onto each other as you attempt to make your way through the hair-raising hallways and down the dark corridors. All the jumping you'll do will burn some calories.

Take a Hayride to Pick a Pumpkin

Many farms have pumpkin patches located farther back on the property. They often offer hayrides that will take you back so you can pick one for yourself. All of the bouncing around you'll be doing on the ride will have you burning some calories and the walk you'll take through the pumpkin patch will help with that as well. You should complete the date by taking the pumpkin or pumpkins home to carve together. This process will have you working out your arms as you attempt to cut off the top portion, dig out the insides, and create your design.

Exercise is an important aspect of healthy living. Incorporate it into your date nights for a strong bond built on health. There are plenty of fall fitness dates you can try.
