Meet The Doctors

Dr. Elisabeth Garlington, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Coppell

Dr. Elisabeth Garlington joined The Joint Chiropractic network of healthcare professionals in 2017, and the staff at the Coppell clinic in 2018. She received her doctorate of chiropractic from Parker University.

“The best thing about being in the chiropractic field is being able to get to the root of a problem rather than masking it,” Dr. Garlington says. “The other thing I love is the joy of seeing a patient’s face when they finally experience relief.”

Dr. Garlington was raised in northeast Dallas and has worked previously in Lavon, Dallas, Gainesville and Denton.

In her spare time, Dr. Garlington enjoys canning foods, going to the lake, country dancing and competitive shooting.

She loves animals, and in addition to “a few dozen chickens and a couple of turkeys,” she has one Pomeranian, two German shepherds, and five Chihuahuas.

She became a believer in chiropractic after experiencing its effects first-hand.

“As a martial artist, I received a TBI after a fight,” Dr. Garlington says. “Six weeks, memory loss, and an unrelenting headache later, I went to a chiropractor. After the first adjustment and 15 minutes later, my headache was gone. I looked at her, my chiropractor, and said, ‘I want to do what you do!’”

She enjoys the atmosphere and convenience that The Joint offers its patients. “When you just want an adjustment, this is a quick solution,” Dr. Garlington says. “As a team, Coppell is always trying to deliver the best chiropractic adjustment and in an atmosphere that is open, fun, and friendly.”

In Case You Didn’t Know

Dr. Garlington says the one thing she always must have on hand is chocolate, for obvious reasons: “Because, chocolate!”

If she could share that chocolate with someone, she would do so around the dinner table with Garth Brooks, Ryan Reynolds, Sandra Bullock and Derek Hough. “One of my favorite singers, two comedic actors, and someone to get dancing tips from,” she says. “Sounds like a fun dinner to me.”

Dr. Garlington is unsure what the coolest experience of her life. “It is either getting to work for a few different national and international music artist,” she says, “or being one of the first in my family to graduate college -- and the first to be a doctor.”

Dr. Michael Anderson, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Coppell

Dr. Anderson is a graduate of Parker Chiropractic College and has been a practicing Chiropractor for eleven years. He has worked in Family Practice, Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, and Wellness Care. He also has a current Registered Nurse license for 34 years. He previously practiced in the past 30 years in the areas of Medical Surgical, Orthopedic, Emergency and Psychiatric Nursing.

Dr. Derek Bruner, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Coppell

“Growing up in a small East Texas town, the opportunity to pitch on a collegiate level was always my dream. Visiting universities and attending scouting camps was the highlight of my high school baseball career. An injury my junior year put that dream in jeopardy, but also introduced me to my first chiropractic mentor.” This was the when Dr. Bruner discovered his true passion to improve people’s quality of life through chiropractic treatment.

Dr Bruner is passionate about his patients and encourages them to take advantage of the benefits of regular chiropractic adjustments. Whether it’s an athlete, child, or weekend warrior, he knows the benefit of keeping a spine free of subluxations, and misalignments. Dr. Bruner received her bachelor’s degree in health and wellness, and Doctorate of Chiropractic all at Parker University in Dallas. He is a true believer that a well-adjusted spine is a healthy spine.
