Review of The Joint Chiropractic in Casa Linda Plaza, Dallas, TX 03-22-2025. My quality of life has improved since I’ve been going to The Joint Chiropractic. I was in a car wreck that dislocated several discs in my spine. I refused to have my spine fused by the orthopedic surgeon. Instead, I went to a chiropractor who got me back on my feet and working. That was years ago. Now I’m retired. I am not as active as I used to be, so my back and neck would get stiff and painful. Pain medicine didn’t help much, and it’s not good to take it all the time. Then I found The Joint Chiropractic. I can get weekly treatments at an affordable price. Their Casa Linda office is nearest my home. The clinic director treated me and got me feeling better. When the director moved, Dr Ali Buentello started treating me. I told him I expected to experience pain during treatment. Pain during treatment reduces the pain during living! (Apparently most patients don’t have the issues I do.) Dr Ali took me at my word. He got my spine loosened up and has kept it that way, also my neck. My range of head movement is noticeably better when I am driving – much safer. I look forward to my weekly treatments. And when I need extra treatments, the cost is very reasonable. My wife goes with me to my treatments. She loves to stay in the lobby and visit with Crystal, the receptionist. Crystal is friendly and cheerful, she makes everyone feel welcome. Maurice Akin

I'm more than a little disappointed with the service I have received. Nice enough Dr and staff, nice office, in a nice area. Unfortunately, with every adjustment I left with more pain and less range of motion. I did tell the doctor of my increased issues every visit. I believe he listened and that he cared. The problem comes in to their Google reviews. While this doctor wasn't able to help me, there's nothing saying he hasn't been able to help others. With every visit I got texted and emailed asking to leave a 5 star review. At first I thought, well ... Let's wait until I start getting relief. Next appointment, more pain, less range or motion. Tell the doctor. Not once did I get any sort of follow up asking if I had any relief from my pain. Just another "leave us a 5 star review on Google" I finally decided to cut my losses and cancel and I'm told I have to go into the office to cancel. I feel that this clinic cares significantly more about getting google reviews than helping people or offering any sort of customer service. Fair business model. I chose them because they were in my way home from work and had a high rating. Now I know why. If you visit them, I hope they can help you, but do not be duped into expecting 5 star service for those 5 star reviews they care so much about.

I am so amazed on how just one visit to The Joint made me feel. I had been in neck , shoulder and mid back pain for 7 months . I visit my pcp twice they would give me pain medication, which didn't fix the problem , i had also went for a massage which it relieved the pain "temporarily" but didn't fix it.. Due to life taking us on a crazy ride these last 24 months, we had not return to use any of our packages. Both my husband and I went into the clinic today, and I have to say, that in all my years of going to The Joint, this was the first time that I was so unhappy with the service and treatment. We both were. To say that the Doctor on hand did not even introduce yourself, let alone ask us a single question as to why we were there and/or review our charts was unbelieve to me. Dr. Allen who had been treating us for years was the very best and he always reviewed our charts and asked us all sorts of questions. He did more than just the basics and talked to us the entire time explaining why he’s doing certain things. We felt very comfortable with him and we felt amazing afterwards. She barely said "hello". I swear my treatment was a wasted session that lasted maybe 3-4 minutes total and the same for my husband. Like seriously what the heck. I only had 1 session left in my package and I 100% feel like I received zero for it. We will not be returning to this location which is a huge disappointment after being there for years. And no I will not give it a 2nd try. I would prefer to get both of our wasted session from today refunded and go elsewhere. Where did Dr. Allen go? I will drive to where ever he is at.

It's actually more expensive. You only have a month to use the visits you have to pay for in advance. I'm a handicapped senior citizen. I can't always get a ride the day I want to go, so I can't always use all my visits in EXACTLY a month. It's a ripoff if you're like me. I won't be going there anymore.

This place is a Scam. I went for an evaluation session . The doctor tells me I’m hurt and needs 7-8 sessions to correct my pain . All of a sudden the receptionist who is the most disrespectful person I know tells me : oh we have a 7 session plan just for you . Just pay here and sign. I went to 3 sessions. Every session didn’t last more than 2 minutes and never ever did the doctor asked me if I was getting any better or feel better after each session. For my fourth session the receptionist tells me. You don’t have more sessions left . I told her I paid for 7 sessions and she responded : you had to do the 7 sessions all at once in the same month . I told that she never mentioned or let me know that and she told me that it was on the contract. Contract that they never gave me a copy after I signed . Now I lost my money , lost 4 sessions and still have big pain in my body . Don’t ever go to this place . I’m serious . You will just waste your time and also you will be disrespected in different ways .

I have been a longtime patient at The Joint in Casa Linda, and have been generally quite happy with the care of Dr. Craig Allen. However, this last Saturday, I had an intimidating and traumatizing experience with a different practitioner, someone claiming to be in charge of all chiropractors for The Joint in North Texas, who essentially refused to treat me on the grounds that I had not been coming in often enough. Indeed, I had not experienced any meaningful back pain in six months, but my sciatica had unexpectedly flared up right before leaving on a vacation to Mexico. After a busy week, I went in on a Saturday afternoon. Upon entering the treatment room, Dr. Shelby Douglas sat facing away from me, silently consulting his computer for what felt like an uncomfortably long time without greeting me. When he was done, he came over to where I was seated and, with a hostile tone of voice and body language that made me feel as if I was in a police interrogation, informed me that he could not treat me because I had not been coming in regularly enough. He repeated himself, stressing the point that basically I was in pain because I had been negligent. Confused and distressed, feeling attacked, I attempted to defend myself by explaining that (a) I had been rather preoccupied with the passing of my mother (none of his business) and (b) no one had ever told me I had to be on an "active care plan" to retain The Joint's services. After a brief back-and-forth along these lines, Dr. Douglas angrily exclaimed that he was "shutting this down." His provocation and aggressive behavior both alarmed me and put me into a stress response for which I was left physically shaken. I do not let anyone speak to or treat me with disrespect without verbally defending myself. The entire time this was taking place, I was utterly baffled. Why would any healing professional be unkind and hostile towards a patient? If this was a selling tactic to get me to purchase a wellness package, it was beyond the scale of the hard sell. If this doctor’s obtuse and insensitive approach to a patient who is presenting with active pain and just by that fact is in a vulnerable state, why would he deem this suitable patient care? As I got up to leave, I told him that I would seek out Dr. Allen’s care. He responded boldly that all of the chiropractors in The Joint North Texas reported to him! Was that necessary? I could only infer that I was out of luck if I wanted any support. I can say with complete conviction that as a woman, I felt threatened, and I would not have felt comfortable allowing him to adjust me, even after the first part of our exchange. What woman would? If the new business model of The Joint is to pressure potential clients into signing up for more sessions by way of this kind of shaming and medical gaslighting, then I have no use for those kinds of business practices, especially when deployed in such a harsh and demeaning manner. And if indeed this person is in a position of senior leadership, then I strongly question The Joint's corporate values.

This is the second time I go but let me tell you my pain in my mid back went away on the first visit. A few years ago I did not have full mobility in my neck due to an accident. I had approx one year of chiropractic from my insurance with another Dr. Apparently I still had bleeding in my neck and there was extreme tension. Now that and even more of my general body aches and pains are all gone thanks to treatments with Dr Allen. I am so glad I found the Joint with Dr Allen and Leslie is always so cheerful and helpful with whatever problems I have including even one time when she was vacationing in Florida which I still can hardly believe.

OMG ! You guys don’t know what you’re missing if you haven’t been to this location. Leslie, at the front desk is the greatest receptionist ever and Dr. Allen is pretty much, I’d say hands down, the best Chiropractor I’ve ever been to in my life. The facility is clean, the service is great and as long as they are open and Doc Allen is there, I don’t think I’ll ever go to another chiropractor again. His technique is complete and on point! Glad I tried this location for sure????? it’s right smack dab in Casa Linda Shopping center so, it’s close to restaurants and shopping all around. You won’t be disappointed ?

I've been to many different locations for The Joint but the one in the Casa Linda Shopping Center in Dallas is in my opinion the best of them all. Leslie, the girl at the front desk is always friendly and courteous and Dr Allen gives the best adjustments. There are 2 other locations closer to my home than this one but I come here because I require an aggressive adjustment and Dr Allen moves my problem areas effectively every time. The only complaint I have is that he's only there Monday through Friday. Lol

It was my first visit but I never even made it back to get treatment thanks to the receptionist. She acted like she would rather be doing anything in the world other than talking to me while at the same time telling me I wouldn't even be seen without signing up for some type of treatment plan, before any doctor so much as said hi to me. She was very rude throughout the whole interaction. If she is any type of representation of how the doctors are, I would highly recommend staying away from this place.

I love this place! The woman behind the desk is very friendly, and Dr. Allen is great! He is one of only a handful of chiropractors in the area licensed to use the Y-strap, which is always a great way to start the adjustment. The prices are reasonable and walk-ins are encouraged, meaning that it is very easy to work a trip here into your schedule.

I've been to this location twice and both times I left really unsatisfied with my experience. This time, however, I was so off put that I have to write a review. The adjustment itself is fine and I left feeling better than when I came in, but it wasn't worth dealing with the staff. There are better chiropractors that charge like $10 more a visit and actually LISTEN to their patients. The receptionist didn't acknowledge me when I came in and acted like she wanted to do anything else than talk to me about getting into an appointment. When I finally went back there- which in fairness did not take any time at all and i was in excruciating pain- the doctor refused to listen to me and then talked over me any time I try to say something. I've worked with chiropractors for years. I am a body worker and work with clients/patients that have chronic pain. The doctors bedside manner was so off putting! I don't want to make this review longer than it needs to be, but I encourage your doctors to LISTEN to their patients and not talk over them just so they can try to sell them a package. Honestly, I came in ready to buy a package and within five minutes- before i even went back there- I started to question that decision and within SECONDS of seeing the doctor- WHO WAS NOT WEARING A MASK!- I knew that it wasn't worth the investment. I will NEVER come back to any Joint location. If anything I'm grateful for this experience because it taught me how important it is to invest in quality care and better helped me have empathy and patience for the people I see in my practice. Come here if you're looking for a cheap and quick adjustment but there are so many better chiropractors out there that charge the same price range and actually LISTEN and care about their patients.

The worst customer service. I called Saturday the 18th at 10am they said I would get a call back. I never did get a call back so I called again same day at 4:30ish since I knew they would be closing at 5 and they once again said they would call me back. Loved this place but tonight was awful. I brought my mother who was visiting from out of town for an adjustment because the doctor was very good with me. We arrived 30 min before close which I know is not ideal. The receptionist said she could not get us both in so I said take my mom. We were waiting for the 2 ppl in front of us and filling out paperwork. Five ppl arrived after us and she accepted the the first lady and turned away the next lady saying they were too full. Another lady was accepted next. Next two more men arrived and were accepted. I don't know if it was racially based because the 4 that were told they would be seen were Hispanic like the receptionist and the one turned away was Caucasian. At this point we were done with the paperwork and she called me to the desk and told me they would not have time to see my mom. Apparently the membership is a bigger perk than I thought as paying customers are turned away when they arrive first. Will definitely not be back which is a shame because the doctor is great. I'm going to call corporate on Monday.

Scam not real chiropractic service. They make one adjustment that takes less then 2 mins and tell you to come back for many visits. Other chiropractic offices can fix your problem in one visit and they spend 30 mins to an hour adjusting you. SCAMMERS. Reply:Yes I do see how you are able to do 4.5 million adjustments per year when each adjustment averages under 5 mins and does not fix the problem.

My husband and I walked into this location at 4:03 on a Saturday. The woman at the front desk said they stop taking patients at 4:00. Not a soul in the waiting room. Didn’t sound like anyone was there behind the wall either. Crazy you’re such a stickler about 3 mins. She didn’t seem very accommodating. Not impressed.

Be wary of their package deal, they didn't make it known that they were going to charge me month after month. I paid for 3 visits at a reduced rate, I knew it was going to be hard for me to make all 3 visits in a month. I missed 1 visit and I have been sick so I didn't catch on that they have been changing me for 4 months. The procedures didn't help and I had to cancel my debit card in order for them to quit charging me. The girl called herself Miss Arielle. Per your response:. No it wasn't explained that I was signing up for a long term series of manipulations only that it was for 3 procedures as I stated. Further more there is nothing in writing that said it was long term and as far as signing all I was given was your electronic pad, just like signing for a credit card. Very misleading and underhanded. Your business gives Chiropractic a black eye.

The chiropractor is great, but the contract is a pretty unfair one. Be sure to read the contract before you agree to it and pay for it. If you cancel it early then you will lose any visits THAT YOU HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR!!!! In other words, they will not give you what you already paid for. This is tantamount to robbery, and I do not appreciate it.

I starting going here weekly after a weight training induced injury in 2017. Every doctor is fantastic and the care is prompt, courteous, professional and effective. I am very hard on my body and these guys, in combination with massage therapy, keep me going and help mitigate pain. The doctors also give me great suggestions on other ways to help maintain my health. BTW, as a more recent update, Leslie and Dr. Allen are my absolute favorites of all.
