How New X-Ray Machines are Increasing Chiropractic Diagnostic Capabilities

Technology can make a huge difference in the performance of any medical facility. Whether it is a small family owned practice or a massive facility within a hospital system, the use of technology can help improve anything from billing, to revenue management, to scheduling, and even the efficacy of the medical services provided.

In chiropractic care, many clinics across the nation are catching onto the need for technology in practice operations. On the management and administration side, there are all sorts of technologies like electronic health records software that has been specifically designed for use in a chiropractic care setting. For doctors of chiropractic, there are numerous technologies that can be applied in their care provision to increase outcomes and help their patients restore and improve musculoskeletal health.

In diagnostics, chiropractic doctors use X-ray machines to look inside the body and determine what alignment characteristic of the musculoskeletal system may be causing problems. There is no need to use Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) or any other type of radiological interventions because no surgery is being performed. As time passes on, we see more advanced X-ray machines being developed as the need to look inside the body increases.

One of the newer radiology products on the market that is being used by chiropractic clinics more and more is the iDR-34 Dual Zone Capture. This X-ray machine is able to get a snapshot of a patient’s musculoskeletal system at a rapid rate, requiring just two exposures for high definition, color gradient imaging. The iDR-34 Dual Zone Capture is able to attain full-length spinal images as well as localized images depending on the needs of the chiropractor. With its iCE-3 enhancement processing, chiropractors are afforded imaging that separates bones, soft tissues, and anything else that may be present in a given image, which allows for the chiropractor to fully understand the layout of a patient’s musculoskeletal system.

With the iDR-34 Dual Zone Capture, chiropractic clinics will be able to diagnose problems more accurately and reduce the amount of time that a patient is experiencing pain, discomfort, and any other problems. As the innovative X-ray machine’s popularity increases, so will the performance of any chiropractic clinic who decides to use it.
